>> brian: i will. right away. i saw the postman there a second ago. is he wearing shorts here at the white house we don't hear much anymore. we never got update from president biden since last year's pledge that his number one domestic priority is lowering inflation that is going to change today with a big anniversary event. maybe the reason we don't hear from it as much is because of this. the inflation reduction act is really all about climate. about three times more about climate than we were told. they had advertised it as $385 billion worth of climate spending. it's more like 1.04 trillion, that's the biggest investment in climate from the government ever we do expect a lot of happy talk about the economy today. we do not expect any talk at all about the family's legal problems. his son hunter is swapping out his lawyer because that lawyer, chris clark, may soon become a witness. we are being told, quote: under the witness advocate rule, it is inadvisable for mr. clark to continue as counsel in this case. withdrawal will not cause a substantial hardship to mr. biden. that's republicans so far been unable to prove that president biden benefited financially directly from hunter's influence peddling schemes are trying to prove the president benefited financially indirectly so here's a text between hunter and his assistant in 2019. this is before biden announced a campaign about paying some past due bills. hunter wrote my dad has been using most lines on this account which i have, through the gracious offerings of eric schwerin his partner have paid for the last 11 years. if president biden is not addressed any of this today or tomorrow, there is a chance friday he has some visiting dignitaries. there is going to be a press conference at camp david. so it will come up then as long as suspect who has chosen to ask a question actually asks about it brian? how about when you go put gas if your car? prices are going up again. what about the interest rates? were you able to sell your house and go buy that house you would like to have? no, because the interest rates have gone up. what about your credit card. the average american has more credit card right now. we are in debt up to our eyeballs. he is right. the prices are not going to go back down. once they have raised the prices and they see that people are still buying those supplies. >> steve: to your point, ainsley, i think it was moody analytics came out this week and they said that the average american family is spending over $700 more per month than they did two years ago when joe biden first started. >> ainsley: did it say what? insanity. >> steve: in new jersey we have been looking at this 100 parents showed up at the courthouse in new jersey certainly because a judge is considering whether to block three school districts from a new policy that requires teachers in new jersey in this three school districts, it requires teachers to notify the parents if their kids want to change their gender identity. as soon as the school districts adopted that policy the attorney general for new jersey. >> ainsley: and the governor. >> steve: filed emergency suit. once the school outs a student to their parents, the harm is done. it's irreverse sickle. so the question could be settled by this judge in new jersey whether or not parent have a right to know that their child is transitioning. >> ainsley: can you believe that? three school districts said we are going to notify the parents. >> it's their job to be involved. they berthed these children. they are raising these kids. some of these teachers are trying to push these kids in a certain direction. and these kids are influenced easily. and many of them are regretting it. we heard that young lady who said she transitioned and then she regretted it. we heard her speak to congress and she was in tears and said she wanted to commit suicide afterwards. because she regretted it. >> brian: alli london was on my radio show yesterday. and he was becoming a korean woman and then realized he is having a mental problem. he went and saw someone and goes what am i doing? and they just -- they are driving our equipment. they are using our rifles, our machine guns, everything. the taxpayers paid for that. and, by the way. what we said to the afghan people is that you can't trust us because, remember, we promised to protect them we left them there until we had veterans group to come and save them and bring them out and many of them came to virginia. it finished us in the eyes of our allies. they are wondering if they can trust us in time of war and, of course, it diminished us and showed weakness to the rest of the world. >> never communicated to nit toe when we were pulling out and the timeline we were keeping. disaster. number two, remember it was president obama to held put prematurely out of iraq. in comes isis and we had to cut a deal with iran to fight back isis and later we had russia come back into the region and we saw what happened in syria because of that another major issue facing people of virginia as well as the people of this nation is the 150,000 immigration cases in july alone. the numbers are back up after a brief dip after evaporation of title 42 i would argue no major city has been hit as hard as new york. over 100,000 migrants have come through. how do you feel about new york having to write a check now statewide 25 million to house migrants knowing that your dad came here legally got off the gentleman make can a. >> brian: you lost your accent. >> can i bring it back at any time. we got off the plane at jfk. and so having been raised in the bronx and we know we came to america the right way. we have to know who is coming across the border. and by the way the rhetoric about new york being what do they call them a sanctuary city, sanctuary state? now you are seeing what the ramifications are of that. so, don't be surprised when all of the immigrants come there and now you have to support them what we are saying it is the commander-in-chief, the president is not doing the first part of his job, which to keep all of us safe. you have fentanyl coming across the border. in virginia we are losing five virginians per day and by the way it's hitting males and black males more than one and a half times more likely to die from fentanyl than anyone. and that's in virginia. so, commander-in-chief has to do his job. he is failing us at every point. and that's why elections are important. >> brian: right. and the commander-in-chief knows that the foundational elements are found in china. >> yes. >> brian: go over to mexico where it's weaponized becomes fentanyl when it comes across our border. >> yes. >> brian: having said that there is a story that china says we will crack down on fentanyl be if you guys release some of the sanctions on our individual ministers. what's your reaction to that deal? we'll do what we are supposed to be doing all along. >> you know, i think we just have to get a backbone and it starts with the president because he is our commander-in-chief if you show weakness, mr. president, then all bets are off, you have already done that time and time again. he has failed to keep us safe. our borders are not secure. we don't know what -- listen, we have got inflation up. you can't buy eggs. you can't buy the fuel for your vehicle. you know what's not up? test scores. our reading scores and math scores are not up. how about just doing your job? getting off the beach. >> brian: i know. he has gone on vacation again and took him four days to acknowledge. >> he is the most vacationing president we have ever had. >> brian: worked his whole life to become president and doesn't want to be president. >> i'm not trying to dig at him but the truth is the truth. >> brian: you have got to work in life. you know that. you and the lt. governor. a lot of times lt. governors and governors don't run well together for convenience or win an election. that's not the case between you and governor youngkin. >> no. we are wonderful. we are a team. >> brian: that's what everybody says. that's got people thinking maybe virginia will go from blue to purple to red. but it's a one-term situation for governor. no matter how good you are and glenn youngkin is doing well. have you thought about being the next governor? >> well, as i said, i'm the one who came off the plane but we are focusing this year, the governor, focusing this year on winning back the senate and keeping the house and even taking more seats because we have to. we have $500 billion of a budget surplus that we're trying to get back to virginians that we are being stopped at every turn. parents are asking for school choice so they can decide where to send their children to school. we have got so many things that we are trying to accomplish and if we don't win the senate it will be for not. we can't have that. we have work do. not just virginia alone next to washington and national feel if you see this poll out how would do president biden for presidency. youngkin w win 44 to 37. >> wow. that's amazing number. even though that's great we are focusing on virginia 2023. we have got to win the senate. so here's what we need our virginians to go out there and secure the vote.org. so that we can win. >> brian: you don't want to talk about running for governor. if i ask you if governor youngkin should i run for president what would you tell him. >> that will be between he and i. i think he is going to talk to god about that first. >> brian: you would stay out of it? >> yeah. you know, laser-focused. we have to win in virginia. that's why we are sending people to go and get their absentee ballots because they will get a ballot, every special election, every primary election. every general election. you have to do it. we can't go in to each vote 10,000 votes on election day we're down. not anymore. >> brian: early voting has got to matter. winsome sears, thanks so much. congratulations on your success. >> by the way my book is coming out. >> brian: which is called? >> "how sweet it is." >> brian: nice, when? >> it's going to be launched on the 22nd. it's available for preorder. winsome sears. >> brian: great to see new studio i will talk to you on radio too. >> amen. >> brian: highly anticipated contest will be decided here on "fox & friends." we are talking business in the front, party in the back. i'm talking about a lifetime of glory on the line. i'm talking about the 2023 u.s.a. mullet champion. it will be revealed only on "fox & friends." ♪ lo ♪ before i'm throughp. ♪ et the look you want for less. you got this. we got you. ♪inspiring music♪ ♪ start your day with nature made. the #1 pharmacist recommended vitamin and supplement brand. sleep more deeply. and wake up rejuvenated. with purple's new mattresses fall asleep 20% faster have less aches and pains and sleep uninterrupted. right now save up to $900 off mattresses sets during purple's labor day sale. visit purple.com or a store near you (janet) so much space!... that open kitchen!
