to meet popular youtubeer who promised to give out free play stations, computers and gift cards. video from the scene shows crowd setting up fire exit wishers in anticipation of his arrival and police dragging away members of the crowd. the anarchy intensified when fans surrounded his car blocking him from leaving. the car was forced to speed away with people clinging to his roof and chasing him down the street seemingly without having given anything away. no known injuries or arrests and police are urging people to avoid the area. when you saw this happen, did you have any idea this was a youtube giveaway? tyrus: it looked like a riot. when i hear the cringe word influencer, what did you influence? you influenced a riot. they giveaway stuff. this was all for media attention. a bunch of likes and follows on youtube and this happens when you give away free things, the worst people show up. we saw this in the pandemic with free money. whenever anything is 3 this is what happens. hi market adams because of the pandemic because of the great transportations are you couldn't get anything, playstation on both for two years so if you go to a store to get one, you can't. this is a high-value item that brought out the worst. all i could do is watch it like a man, please don't let it be us, flipping cars and watching the video and it is us again. martha: a fox news fan. tyrus: gutfeld is right there. >> you are a big youtubeer. martha: one of his followers. >> any idea of his power? martha: not until 7 and a half minutes ago when i dug in and do some research. i watched his videos. he's 20 one years old, younger than my kids, he was talking, doing an interview. one of the main topics of the interview is the benefits and drawbacks of fake it till you make it. i am thinking, what does he actually do? i looked up his videos. he's mostly sitting on fancy cars, showing off his clothing, his fashions, clothing key fobs in his hand to show he has amazing cars. it is not incredibly deep in terms of what he is influencing out there. i agree with tyrus, why are we giving stuff away? why is this beneficial to society? this is a mess waiting to happen from the get go. we give too much away in this country, too much free stuff that is going out there and it would be better if everybody earned what they wanted to purchase. >> kennedy, you've seen these things, the arab spring, black lives matter, you've seen the anti-trump protests. this looks a little different from those things but also the same amount of people. kennedy: the same thing can happen, as we see with riots, they build and build and build and show us what is so dangerous. you have people watching this on tiktok, youtube and instagram, they rush to the scene and try to get there and more people show up, the later it goes the dumber people get. my worry is there kids, it is the middle of summer. a lot of kids are unsupervised. i worry that someone is going to get seriously hurt and all these influencers are trying to show they can pool a crowd, show that they can create a massive scene, so much clout and so much pool. tyrus would say it is a flex for them to get a ton of people in one place and create other chaos just because people are so excited to see them. that is a win. that is what victory looks like when you are in influencer. >> you used to have the beatles. they use to play music and people used to swarm around, but that was actually a performance. this guy is just throwing around the ps 5. tyrus: this isn't even about him. he was offering something everybody wanted, playstation. scott bail could have come back and said giveaway play stations, computers, same mob would have shown up. and he could still do it. he's still in charge but the point is no one is. that's the thing. the illusion is him. it's not him. once he showed up, didn't have what they wanted they wanted him to do it. >> promising ps 5s and didn't have ps 5s he is in trouble. he handed out something. ordinarily when you do something like this you've got to have permits, if you are going to draw this many people. someone in the network is saying the freedom to assemble its freedom to assemble as long as you satisfy certain requirements. people who don't are generally rioting and those are people who should be held accountable by the law too. this says a lot about us too. your point, you and tyrus and martha saying people want free stuff. our value system is warped. we show up for playstation 5s, mostly the beatles or going to see hammer or bobby brown, going to see that for free is a different proposition. i hope the police hold accountable. tyrus: he has been arrested by nypd, those other reports. martha: these kids went down, not bothering anybody, hitting police, so many people think they are giving everything away free at gucci and throwing stuff in the back of bags and running away with it. there's a lot out of control behavior and there's an undercurrent in societies it is unnerving and unsettling. >> now this guys going to have a mug shot. talk about clout. tyrus: i don't think he's upset about this at all. wearing little silver bracelets is the cherry on his sunday. he is good with it now. i remember in 1990 one going to the sunset strip, see a little bit of hair metal pulled up and a red convertible and mc hammer. you know what happened? he was mobbed by metal bands on the street. i've never seen a person with a bigger smile on his face. he was so happy to have touched off that moment. i was like please, don't do this. this feel so good. unfortunately, that is the affect he's going for. don't be dingbats. it's not worth it. >> ahead, big-name democrat staging a biden intervention. ♪ . martha: i am martha maccallum hosting our coverage of democracy 24. people in america don't mince words. they tell you what you think, i hate that guy, i love that woman, she's fantastic. that is what i find refreshing when you spend time in the country talking to voters and that is why it is a privilege to meet them and to let them inspire me to do my job in the best way that i can. designed smarter. genius! like 2.5% cash back on purchases of $5,000 or more, so sam can make smart ideas, a brilliant reality! chase for business. make more of what's yours. every day, more dog people, and more vets are deciding it's time for a fresh approach to pet food. they're quitting the kibble. and kicking the cans. and feeding their dogs dog food that's actually well, food. developed with vets. made from real meat and veggies. portioned for your dog. and delivered right to your door. it's smarter, healthier pet food. get 50% off your first box at thefarmersdog.com/realfood martha: staging a biden intervention, we are not talking about hunters that would be good. barack obama telling president biden he better get off the beach and start campaigning or he is going to lose his reelection and we might lose our lunch, barack telling joe his concerns, quote, we are not about biden's political abilities but recognition of trump's iron grip on the republican party. obama promising his old pal he will do all he can to help biden keep his job. biden should probably be a little worry about standings in his own party. even the liberal media questioning his ability to make it past the finish line. >> the question is how solid a candidate is joe biden? kennedy: we would have arbel loved to be a fly on the wall in that meeting. jesse is right. that is a very fraught relationship between the two of them. obama gave hillary the tapped to run and his vice president, joe biden, at the same time he decided to dig in deep to foreign business ventures. i guess i'm not going to run for president. i will be on my own, might as well make some money and figure out what hunter has been doing on these trips and see if i can tap into that based on all the information we've got, devon archer and everyone else about being at this meeting but obama never wanted him to run. there were discussions about you don't have to do this. you don't have to run for president. there was a big inclination on the president's part based on a lot of reporting out there that he wanted to prove to obama that he could do it, that he could push things further than obama. on something see got further to the left on certain issues. his big problem is he has to convince people he should have another term. i would love to know what his reaction was to president obama. if you took that advice seriously. if you think trump is really a threat. if he knows what to do, to get himself more traction out there. what does he do? he can't campaign from the basement anymore. he is burdened not only with the issue of his age and infirmity which is on video all over the place, but the hunter situation which people are concerned about. looking at that and saying trump has these indictments, hunter biden, president biden has these problems but they don't have anybody to step up and fill that void. that's the one thing he has going for him. what do they do? todd: 27 i heard him say this is an official case, and on your show, he was framing it differently. i don't know. i know that jack smith is a good lawyer and donald trump says he is innocent and in our country you are presumed innocent until you get a charge against you and plead guilty. i agree with my friend kennedy who says david brooks who i think was trying to make a strong point but made it in a way, it's not less educated pick, people who have been falsely accused to feel the system is rigged against them. people have been an underdog. they see something in donald trump. if you're in politics, trying to be someone in politics you don't criticize the supporters of the person. you can be critical of the person you are running against, not the people that find some attraction or find some value in who he is. is larger point that kennedy said well is he's able to rally around a cause whether it is a grievance or being falsely attacked, people have to understand that is a humanity -- i disagree i don't want cameras in a federal court room. you get lawyers pooling to the cameras. i remember the murtaugh camera, everyone had an opinion. in this case i respect these people in the media but they are wrong. this desire, they want to see something done to donald trump, they want to see this televised. that is why we have the rule of law to guard against our passions. kennedy: what do you make of the media hunger? jesse: they have a pilot program, they tested out cameras in 90 one and a couple months later they were like no, no, no, the witnesses are scared, they are intimidated, the judges are acting differently. we are never going to do it again. scotus has audio. i don't know why you can't do audio. i don't trust legacy reporters going in there, a major trial, a major trial, and spinning what happened that day in the courtroom. i deserve to know. everybody deserves to know. there was a lot of self-awareness in that column. i commend that. he said it used to be where these reporters were middle-class, scrappy scribes. they would hustle and get under everybody's skin and then the elites started to gravitate into journalism. if you were an elite guy who went to the best schools and now you're a journalist and your covering other elite people in politics and business, you are sleeping with the enemy and that is why now the media is the same as the politicians and the big tech people because they are all from the same school, the same class system. so trump represents the working class, people who have been persecuted, people in the rest of the country between boston and washington dc. they are trying to separate donald trump's voters from donald trump. by criminalizing him. making him so -- such a reprobate that no one wants to get near him when it is time to vote. it is only bringing voters closer to the bottom. martha: it is interesting to hear nancy pelosi say why didn't the party get rid of him? that's not how it works. come en. do your part. tyrus: the editorial was basically narcissistic mother. did we love too much? try too hard? we work so hard to be successful that they hate us. it is not deranged, unemployed people who fall in love with donald trump. donald trump did this crazy thing that democrats used to do. he listens. when he goes out and speaks, millions of people all over the country, they speak to him and feel like he hears me, he here's what i'm upset about, i want police in the neighborhood, i want the job to be proud of. he says i will give you that and the other side like it is about equity and we don't want to go back to 1963, but you brought us back there in our neighborhood, took away our police, took away our education, take away our jobs. it 1963. only difference between now and then is back then the good old boys, white boys club the didn't want to work with us but at least we knew where we stood with of them. they were honest. they didn't like us and we didn't like them but we were fine with it. now we don't know no matter which way we turn, say hello the wrong way we are wrong, all this stuff, you created this environment and wonder why somebody like trump comes in and says what's the problem?
