>> very efficient with the trees. we only printed one company. the shroud of secrecy is gone. the big question whether archer's interview will prove to be the smoking gun that reveals resident bidens involvement in his son's foreign and business. >> let's get right to it. team fox coverage. all standing by with analysis and reaction. let's get the news from chad pergram w who is there on monday back again today. you told us three or four days. you are spot on. what is the news in the transcript? >> this is the transcript from the closed-door interview on monday. it focuses a great deal on "their brand." devon archer told the house oversight committee, the brand was the biden family. that delivered value to marie's mama. in the transcript, archer said faced "pressure from ukrainian authorities during investigation. archer said they wanted hunter biden to help relieve some of that pressure. archers have the biden name was key to the survival of burisma. "people would be intimidated to mess with burisma because of the brand, the biden name." this is what enrages g.o.p. lawmakers especially on a day like today. >> if you are sitting at home and you are mad, you have a right to be mad but when it comes to donald trump, there are no rules. when it comes to hunter biden and joe biden, they get away with almost everything. >> archer told investigators, hunter biden put his father on speakerphone a business meeting ten or 20 times. archer said this was like having the son of jpmorgan chase ceo jamie dimon put his father on the phone. democrats contend the speaker phone were innocuous. >> over the course of 10-year relationship, on terror may have put his father on the phone with any number of different people. they never once spoke about any business dealings as he described it. >> there was also a discussion of a $142,000 wire transfer to hunter biden. for an expensive car. >> i saw that. let me follow-up here. where there any other dollar figures discussed other than the one you just mentioned? >> that is one of the interesting things where they talk about some wire transfers. there were some specific dollar figures mentioned in there. there are some accompanying documents that go at that. we talked about this on the air on monday that coming next week -- this is what the committee has told me. we are going to get some bank records involving these transactions from russia, ukraine, and kazakhstan. we had not heard about kazakhstan until monday. >> thank you. i will let you dive onto that. we will bring you back a little bit later. andy mccarthy. first up. former assistant u.s. attorney. let me read one quote and we will go back and forth on this together. here is andy biggs, the representative who was inside the room. he and jim jordan some other attorneys. when you say biden family -- sorry to cut end here. i just want to get a clarification. you weren't talking about joe biden or anybody else. mr. archers says that's fair to say. i don't think about it as you know directly. but it is fair. that is fair to say. honestly, that brought the most value to the brand. what is this edge of the story as you see it right now? >> i think the main thing is how ridiculous it is to talk about whether joann hunter discussed business on these calls that hunter would have in the presence of his business associates. because the business was is access to his father. in the act of having a conversation, they are burnishing the biden brand which is what the people at the table who were there want to see. as archer explains, the business of washington is access. if you are the son of the vice president, you have the highest access. the business was being the guy who knows people. if your clients have a problem, they know the right person to repair it do to cut through the red tape to get it to the top of the pile and to fix it. >> the other thing in this transcript. you have devon archer on bur burisma. mr. archer says "i think burisma would have gone out of business if they didn't have the brand attached to it. that is my only honest opinion, because people would be intimidated to mess with them legally." is this getting us closer to knowing what the whole purpose of having hunter biden on the board was? >> the purpose was a bribe. that is what we heard. he told the fbi informant there is no reason to believe that's not true. to back up on this, he was a minister in the previous ukrainian government that fled -- who went to russia. so the new government which becomes like government. they come in and have the support of the obama administration with biden as the point man on policy. but everybody was connected to the old ukrainian administration knows that they are on the chopping block. we are talking about a corrupt country where the insiders go after the guys who are out of power. what they needed was the biden lifeline. he was the best person to have because he was running the foreign policy toward the country on the american administration which was backing this fledgling government. it was perfectly sensible for them to think, if they paid out joe biden or pays joe biden, they had a much better chance of survival than if they didn't. >> there is a question that has been burning a hole in my pocket. i needed to ask a lawyer. here you are. house republicans have said that they might get to a point where they opening up impeachment inquiry. i have a question. can a current sitting president have an impeachment for something that he is accused of doing when he was vice president several years ago? >> yeah, i think what happens is that people -- i appreciate this. people asked the lawyers, because lawyers like to create the impression that impeachment is a heavily regulated legal process when in fact, it's a political process and the most accurate thing i have ever heard about articles of impeachment is when gerald ford was the minority leader in the house. this is before he was president. he said in impeachable offenses anything that a majority of the house of representatives thinks in impeachable offense is better to get lawyers all the time you say it is something more constraint. i don't think so. >> we just live through that. got a lot of voices we want to get in now. next stop, "wall street journal" editorial board but what you make up what are learning from this transcript? >> i think it is like all the other things. every new allegation is more specific and it names more witnesses. so it is a drip, drip, but gives us more detail. i'm looking forward to the bank records next week. some of this transcript is about the names of holding companies that hunter used. next week, when you combine that with a bank records and so forth, you begin to see a money trail. what we already know is that joe biden's repeated insistence that he didn't discuss this or didn't know about it is just not true. and he said in a debate, his son didn't take fortune from ukraine and china. we know that he did. so i think it confirms a lot of what we suspected. but it opens the door to much more limited and targeted inquiries. >> standby. a host of the five and guy benson. great to have you both. great to have you on the show. thank you for being here. >> thank you for having me. >> again you hand me that new york post? we just got this transcript. the front cover of "the new york post" here. i wanted to point out this letter. this is a letter to devon archer from the vice president on vice presidential official stationary saying i apologize for not getting the chance to talk to you at the luncheon yesterday print i was having trouble getting away from hosting the president. upper get a chance to see you again. i hope you enjoyed the lunch. thanks for coming. happy you guys are together. meaning archer and hunter. i guess lead us to believe, harold, that the president knew about his son's business partner which means that they probably talk about the business. >> so i will go with the normal good morning and things with having me on. i think this raises a couple of things but i think the president is probably going to have to answer this question again and clarified what he meant by he never spoke with his son about any of his business dealings because it appears at least from mr. archer's transcript of testimony that that has been called into question. i find myself agreeing a lot of times with andy mccarthy. i think his analysis around president trump's most recent indictment. i might agree with him this morning. the issue here for me with president biden is -- if they find some records or some bank account activity that points to transfers or wires, that would be problematic. if the president dies it president biden in his capacity as vice president did anything on behalf of the company obviously that his son and mr. archer were a part of to try to be beneficial, that would be a problem for the president print i thought you asked the right question around when can a president bmps for what kind of activities, what kind of conduct and what -- and the timing of that conduct. i thought and the answer that right is the late gerald ford once said. what congress believes. it is in impeachable offense. >> i'm going to bring in guy benson on this now. you may have heard a few moments ago. this transcript what devon archer said. having hunter biden on your team is the equivalent of having jamie dimon's son, the ceo of the most powerful bank in america jpmorgan on your side. that is clear throughout this entire thing is 141 pages of the transcript guy. you can see that on just about every page of the influence they were peddling. >> the business model, bill, was the brand. the brand was the biden name. and central to the power behind the biden name was joe biden the sitting vice president to actually did publicly brag about achieving a major goal that burisma executives were aggressively pursuing with hunter according to multiple allegations, backed up and corroborated significantly by devon archer. i know there are people saying getting that prosecutor fired, there were other reasons potentially to do it hurt other people wanted him fired. the people who desperately wanted him gone where top people at burisma paying the vice president son at the time $83,000 a month where they placed a phone call allegedly to d.c. seeking help. and with a period of months, that man was out of his job. joe biden years later told publicly of the story about how he was instrumental in that ouster. that is absolutely worth some additional follow-up, especially considering the series i'm now expose the lies from joe biden. i don't use the word "live" lightly here. he said this -- never had any of these conversations about business with his son ever. that is clearly untrue. he said that hunter biden -- this is on the debate stage against donald trump. hunter biden never made money from china. and of course, famously he said that the laptop, a source of so much information in this scandal was russian disinformation. another lie. that's a lot of smoke. >> one of the things that has been going from the white house and the biden cabinet is that there was nothing that devon archer said that directly implicated joe biden. hunter biden might be an issue but not joe biden. ethically, it wasn't hunter biden's responsibility to not put his dad on the phone. it was joe biden's responsibility to not be on the phone calls. i'm curious if you're hearing anything from democratic circles that they realized that they might have a problem here. >> i think this is embarrassing. i think some of the things that have been raised around but president biden said has a relationship or how he talked to hunter his son and others about his business, a lot of that is being called into question. there are going to have to be so fuller and answers. for me, the legal issue remains -- you are touching with andy. did mr. biden when he was vice president do anything in his official capacity to be helpful to his sons business and his son partners business. if that is revealed, that is the problem the president has. it could trigger a legal issue. the politics of it. you guys are speaking to. i think what was just articulated is really where the political challenge may be for the president. all of these things come out. he has made statements to the contrary. he has a backtrack on those statements. politically, there's no question. that will be something the president has to answer. >> on that point -- sorry, i apologize for interrupting you. on that point, keep in mind when burisma was trying to do. they are an energy company in ukraine that was under investigation in that country. they were trying to expand their business in america. they needed allies here. they were thinking down the road they could get an ipo on wall street. you have those prosecutor breathing down their neck. they wanted that investigation to end. to that point -- and it did. exactly. >> because, you don't exactly have every single piece of information that led to that final decision. that's a crucial element of this. you need more evidence. the democrats would have us believe having told is that there were never any conversations about any of the stock of the democrats would have us believe that burisma, some company in ukraine was paying the son of the vice president and million dollars of year because of his expertise. when he popped out on the phone, it was only to talk about the weather and geography we saw in the transcript today. and some other topics. grisman needed that from washington and then got it from their employee's father, the employee they were paying a million dollars a year. we are to believe that all of those phone calls and all of those discussions with the big guy were just about the weather. give me a break. >> last comment. what would you expect to come next? >> we are going to clarify more and more the details. we have talked about legal case and the political case. a lot of it comes down to character. joe biden likes to say and boast about his character and restarting the soul of america. it looks like he flat out lied to the american people about a lot of things with the sons business. i think dana pointed out earlier in the week that if hunter was doing this on his own, calling his father during work with business associates, maybe it is the first time. you called your son in and say don't ever do this again. about 20 times that you have to edit out with all the other things like shell companies and so forth. why would he be doing this? >> terrific panel, guys. >> the devon archer transcript is out. fox news had it first. we will keep going through it. >> i want to add one more thing about trying to attract money and help burisma with its financial dealings. page 54. artist says you are in a competitive environment. he would say okay, we have a d.c. office. i -- everybody would do the same. that's what they were doing. they were raising money. it's out there now and we will have it posted online as well. >> the person responsible for protecting the integrity of the vice presidential office office and that of president obama was the vice president. >> peter called me and said -- >> international business. the white house press office. i got a call. peter what's up? i'm just here with these guys. they've got that fda problem over there. i was just saying that you worked at the white house. i would've called him and said don't ever do that to me again. peter never did that. i didn't have to. i was the one responsible for that. hunter biden >> the problem with all these policies is that the reality is that they are not benefiting people are, your to work. they are not coming illegally. they are benefiting people really commit crimes. that is what the sanctuary city policy is about. and then they are giving free housing for people who are not working. we can solve this. this whole thing with shelters settlement the city had with the state. and mayor adams is the legal authority to suspend the right to shelter. surely he will get challenged in court. the right to shelter was never meant for somebody who just arrived from the southern bo border. >> a law that was passed here in new york. nationally whether it's new yorker across the country. the way you change it is with political will. we don't have that right now. >> of course. made us all the border crisis. there's a lot of ways we should do that. why are people waiting five years for a court and then getting released in the united states? we should be able to have court hearings immediately or it week after people get to the border so they can be detained and not released into the interior of the country. >> i don't know many countries around the world that have what you see over there at the roosevelt hotel. i don't know how much longer it's going to go on. thank you for sharing your story. maybe someday you could be a citizen. thank you. the manhattan institute. thanks. >> the yankees are praising this 10-year-old girl for her throwing arm. she had the back of that man said from 100 feet away. turns out he's in a new york city politician. . to reel in the fun and savor every bite. to help you get ready your aspen dental team is celebrating 25 years of affordable care with an epic summer of smiles event. don't miss enjoying a moment, with our onsite labs to help you, fast, and 20% off your denture care. so, whether you need a new look or a quick fix, you can celebrate with a smile all season— always at aspen dental. book today. your paint is really bad. what?
