congressional maps by the end of the year but some may be forced to change their final maps is court battles play out. let's start there with the panel and editor-in-chief of the political reporter. every cycle talked about redistricting and how it factors in with the balance of power in the house. just a few seats can make a big difference.. >> republican speeches by seized control of the house. they control the line drawing in more states and states with mark districts than democrats do. that's at the end of the day it's notot likely to give them that big of an advantage. big two or three seats when all is said and done, which is nothing. these are important things in which the elections taking plays what may look like a great mapped the april 1 party maybe two to four years now the political environment, that map may not hold up. >> we also have the senses, which is tilted toward the republicans at a couple of different places, taking seats from traditionally democratic places and moving them to more republican state redistricting is a big deal and that is why you have the battle over state legislatures so important to be able to draw those lines. they maintain their power to break district in states like ohio and texas, florida and northna carolina. so that you have a big advantage in terms of drawing the maps for the next ten years a lot of these very politicallyst
