i'm losing sleep. laura: i wanted to make sure you were okay and the grief counseling was -- >> i'm going to my happy place. it's called tito's. laura: compose your self. i am laura ingraham, the january 6th committee continues to embarrass itself. adam schiff was caught fabricating a text message from jim jordan to mark meadows, speaking of january 6th our dear friend liz cheney, and her alliance with democrats punished members of her own party has repercussions, tonight we speak to the woman who lost a primary against her in wyoming plus the dnc hell the holiday party last night. you were not there? nancy and joe were showing their page in seen and unseen but first we won't be fooled again, that is the focus of tonight's angle. if there is one thing most americans agree on, they are tired of covid, 60% feel worn out by the pandemic. of those 36% said they feel worn out a lot compared to 39% who say they don't feel worn out at all by the pandemic and its restrictions, who are these people who don't feel worn out by the pandemic? i guess they must either live in red states where coitus is like any other virus or the bunch running our colleges and universities because some college administrators obviously preferred the way things were at the start of covid. a closed campus, virtual learning, limited students socializing and the schools love it so much they have begun to shut down their normal operation again. almost two years into the virus they are doing this which cornell university which has a 97% vaccination rate among students, faculty and staff just issued a covid red alert and will be completely shutting down campus in the middle of finals week and no december graduation ceremony either. all finals are online. in imagine movie parents who shot 60,$000 a year or more than 80,$000 for out-of-state is for the kids tuition, room and board, how the parents feel, like suckers at georgetown university they've canceled all in person social gatherings and events and mandated final exams be given virtually right on their website while these cases are not severe and vaccination continues to provide strong protection it is critical we act to limit the spread of cases. this makes no sense. do they shutdown a campus for other bugs that are not deadly? of course not. princeton university has succumbed the to lockdown media moving files online cancel events and mandating masks, not to be outdone by georgetown, princeton will also be mandating booster shots in order for students to return to campus in the spring. the booster will pick up at universities across america even though there is no indication that the boosted escape symptomatic omicron infection. right now the booster is required at smith college, us, amherst, bentley, gw, notre dame and others and the deadline for getting your boosters are coming up. as terrifying a thought as it is, universities are the leading indicator as to where government is going. doctor fauci tipped his hat on this issue. >> is a matter of when, not if the definition of fully vaccinated changes? >> my own personal opinion is what you said is correct. it's a matter of when, not if. the booster vaccine regimens work against omicron. if you are fully vaccinated, get your booster shot. laura: as i said data shows the boosted can still carry the virus and spread the virus. take the cornell outbreak. in the last week the school has recorded nearly 900 cases and according to the school's vp of university relations virtually every case of the omicron variant to date has been found in fully vaccinated students a portion of whom had also received a booster shot. in other words the booster may not hurt you but it won't necessarily help you either so why insist on it at all especially for younger healthy kids and adults? that's not the only evidence. we come abroad to place like gibraltar, the most vaccinated place in the world, 99% of the population there is vaccinated and 2 thirds are boosted yet gibraltar has seen cases increase with 66 new daily infections reported on average equivalent to 52% of its peak in january. this prompted local officials to cancel christmas parties official events and urging people to hold off on getting together for any yuletide fun. since gibraltar is part of the uk i should note the booster brain bug is infected british leaders as well. >> we are now facing an emergency in a battle with the new variant, omicron. it is now clear that two doses of vaccine are simply not enough to give the level of protection we will need. are scientists are confident that with a third dose, a booster dose we can all bring our level of protection back up. laura: the only emergency he has to worry about is the hair emergency. do you believe this guy, would you believe government officials who across the world applied to their citizens, for now about a year ago about this virus and about their real plans and goals. >> president biden: people talk about freedom, not to have a shot or a test, guess what? how about patriotism? how about making sure you are vaccinated so you do not spread the disease to anybody else. what about that? what is the big deal? laura: the big deal is the leader of the free world has no idea what he's reading and that teleprompter. does he not know what his own cdc director had to admit, that you can spread the disease even when you are vaccinated. >> vaccines are working exceptionally well and continue to work well for delta with regard to severe illness and death. what they can't do anymore is prevent transmission. laura: they can't prevent transmission. for the hundredth time the vaccines do not stop viral transmission so why are they shutting down schools again? it makes 0 sense. students should hunker down together, take their exams and be done with it. the last thing you want are the kids rushing home to be virtual and taking their exam virtual and spreading covid to their elderly relatives but that is precisely what the scenario being created by these universities. to most normal people, turning a society upside down for a virus is simply insane. we already know the costs of an catastrophic so why do liberals love lockdowns and mandates so much? i asked a bunch of friends. i think liberals are truly more comfortable living a lockdown world, they don't trust people to make their own decisions unless it is about stuff like abortion, pop or porn and they generally load the people who live in especially the red states and wants to dominate them, conform. every time they get a chance to restrict people's freedom they will do it. this is their default position. watching what is happening in australia, in europe, at our colleges i really believe some parts of the world may never be free again, not for years, even decades. you have a big decision to make. what kind of country do you want to live in, what type of governor do you want leading your state. thankfully in the united states we do have a lot of free states but the far left went crazy on the atlantic magazine for publishing an article about how outside urban areas americans have essentially gone with their lives and don't pay much attention to covid anymore. that is misinformation, the radicals will, you're putting public health at risk by reporting that. of course that's just another lie and the classic exercise in projection, it is the fear mongers, the panic pushes, the control freaks who have destroyed lives, they propped children enjoy and experiences, they've driven teenagers to suicide and adults to drug overdoses. fauci, wolinsky, the entire public health cobol have become their own contagion but now more americans are on to their sick twisted game and they won't be full again. if you want your life back, if you don't like where all this is setting you have to start organizing now because by the election day of 2024 we could be up to eight boosters and that is the angle. joining me now is board-certified m.d. phd research scientist, what is your message to schools that are locking down over this omicron variant? >> my message is this. you did it once and what did it achieve? you didn't once for over a year closing colleges, universities, element to schools, through high school and did we do anything in a meaningful tangible way to reduce spread, reduce hospitalization, to reduce death? that was before we had vaccines, before we had medication and before we knew how the virus transmitted and how it infected people and who was at risk, now we know all those things, we have vaccines, amazing medications with many more in develop and about to come out and on top of that we know how this translates and how it doesn't transmit and most importantly we know the young are not generally at risk and with you look on variant especially it is not causing any hospitalizations or debts, look at cornell's president admitted today that kids, university students not become hospitalized or died. there is an outbreak but it is an outbreak like an outbreak of a cold. a lot of infections in terms of numbers but they shouldn't be looking at infection numbers, they should be looking at how many people are sick, very sick or dying and they are not and so this is a blessing, it is nice. it is wonderful but to begin to treat this with hysteria and hype and panic, you are making things worse, not better and as you pointed out they are sending the kids home. >> they are treating this like it is smallpox. this is lunacy. i wake up every day, are we still doing this? is this really what we are still doing, i know you must tell people, i certainly, i know four people just over the past week who have gotten covid, both vaccinated, boosted have covid, billy 20s, healthy people, late 20s, have a scratchy throat, a little congestion but that is about it, they are sitting at home, calling friends and texting but they are all boosted and vaccinated and still getting it but they are fine. >> and by and large the young, that their experience. even to middle-age the college students and school kids are not what we need to focus. if we are concerned which maybe we should be maybe not but if we are concerned we should be imposing these restrictions on nursing homes and hospitals, limiting visitors to nursing homes, that's a great way to do but why schools, why the people at least risk, doesn't make any sense. laura: given the recent surge of cases in the northeast, listen to president biden in august. laura: >> president biden: make no mistake, the escalation of cases is particularly concentrated in states with low vaccination rates. just two states, florida and texas account for one third of all new covid 19 cases in the entire country. just two states. laura: fast forward to today, new york now has double the average daily cases than texas and four times as florida displayed a 71% vaccination rate in new york. only 63% and 40, 56% in texas. what does that tell you? >> what it tells us is that this is a virus like any other virus. it is a virus that mutates and becomes resistant to vaccines and it tells us a vaccine doesn't necessarily reduce infection. with the vaccine dose is may reduce in people who are risk severity of infection for many of them. it may reduce risk of hospitalization or death but in terms of stopping the virus or stopping spread it is clear this is not going to happen by relying on vaccines alone. laura: early therapeutics should be a key tool in the toolbox, not lockdowns. >> absolutely. we have those therapeutics, many are develop and, and once they are they should be as widespread as candy. we should make these available to people from the moment they have symptoms, before they wait for a test get the medicine and you can find out if your infected and continue as you can stop in this way we can reduce rates of hospitalization and death which is what matters. laura: we have a lot of therapeutics, vitamin d, zinc, a lot of good stuff but there will be more. great to see you tonight. a new round of university lockdowns exposed the deep-seated corruption and higher education. expect the university to take money from students and then shut down anyway, is outrageous. joining me is the professor of law at george mason university, senior fellow at the cato institute. parents and students should be demanding refunds if they start doing this virtual stuff again. >> that is right. i am a parent and the professor. as a parent my son is a senior in college who lost a year and a half of college. great to have him home but these kids need to be in school. you go to college to go to college. are the seriously going to talk about shutting down again? as a professor, what i have seen among my peers, basically these neurotic baby boomers and entitled millennials who really don't want to teach, they want to go online, they don't want to go to the trouble of commuting so they are jumping at every chance they can to stop teaching and the like. universities take these kids money to take the parents money, build these miraculous rec centers and dining halls and all this sort of stuff and then lock them in their dorms. it is not what we are supposed to do as professors and people who run universities, we are supposed to take care of these kids can educate these kids, not teach them to fear their own shadow. laura: the fact that kids for whatever reason don't want to get vaccinated and i know a lot of these kids who for whatever they don't want to get vaccinated. they already had covid, many of them. they are being forced out of school. a lot of these schools are stingy with exceptions, they are being forced out, university of chicago, other state universities, this -- they are healthy young people, healthy. >> that is right and a similar, talking about a kid who's 20 years old, who already had covid, that is as good as it gets pretty much ended that point all you are talking about with vaccines are side effects and what we know as the side effects are greater for young people after they recovered from covid so it is really vicious. it is a really inhumane policy, 1-size-fits-all policy, force these kids to choose between interrupting their education and having to risk their health to do this. the vaccines don't stop transmission anyway in a kid who had covid, does nothing at all. laura: great to see you tonight, thank you and it seems the controversy over january 6th didn't end with mine. molly hemingway has details and moments plus liz cheney's actions every percussions, republican looking to unseat her in wyoming's primary next. .. ♪ ♪ >> laura: adam schiff, 18 adam schiff to put it kindly perpetually struggles with telling the truth is he was a perfect fit to be the january 6th committee. let's take a trip down memory lane. he leaked fake don junior emails, fabricated the transcript of trump's ukraine call to make trump sound like a mobster, he read the phony steel dossier into the congressional record and for his latest stunt he doctor to text message sent to mark meadows in order to smear one of his fellow lawmakers. >> q the first graphic. this reads on january 6th, 2021, vice president mike pence as president of the senate should call out all electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional as no electoral votes at all. you see why this is so critical to ask mister meadows about, lawmakers suggesting the former vice president simply throw out votes. laura: the congressman who sent that text was jim jordan and schiff erased the second part of the text. here's that part in full. on january 6th, 2021, vice president mike pence should call out all the electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional as no electoral votes at all and in accordance with guidance from founding father alexander hamilton and judicial precedent. joining me is molly hemingway, fox news contributor. the january 6th committee has apologized for this oversight. does that matter at this point?
