[cheers and applause] what a story. let's hear it for our ford ford -- modern warrior sergeant john dowdy. [applause] >> why did you go back? >> first it was something i could prove to myself. that i was able to do so. and -- thank you. to return back to a life that i love. and brothers and sisters left and right, that teammates. and overall cause to be able to gain control of a life you had, i think that was the best thing that -- that -- >> still ahead judge jeanine and tucker carlson. justice with judge jeanine. you know. and the hit show on "fox nation." judge jeanine. >> what a great night to be with friends, this year marks 20 years since september 11 terror attacks. a day that none of us will ever forget. but from the devastation amazing stories of courage have emerged. among those were the passengers of flight 93. they were a group of strangers who not only came together to fight back against the hijackers but they kept the fourth plane from hitting our nation's capitol. one of those strangers, one one those strangers was todd binger. and he is this year's courage award recipient. >> todd, and his fellow passengers on flight 93, understood we're not going back to new jersey we're guided missile number 4. they rush the cockpit with a food cart, they did not have weapons, they didn't have box cutters, they grabbed what they could, noise, commotion, sounds of the counter attack beginning. then the phone was dead. >> united 9-3 do you have information to that. >> he is down. >> he is down. >> he did not land. >> he is down. >> somewhere northeast of camp david. >> passengers on this flight, may have taken down their plane to save the lives of others on the ground, now hailed as heroes. >> >> saving leaving on the ground, some of our greatest moments have been acts of courage for which no one could have been prepared. >> todd was a hero in our family for many reasons before 9/11, because of the young man he was. he was a provider for the family, a major blessing that telephone call he had with the woman, he talked about the enemy, told them of their plans. and prayed with lisa jefferson, then todd's last words, you are guys ready? let's roll. there was this really -- can't be. my comfort is my assurance of todd's faith. >> he was a christian. and i think that what gives us peace. >> they won. what i would hope that people remember about todd beamer, his legacy, remember what kind of a man he was. what kind of a dad he was, a leader he was. he did what needed to be done. >> we have our morning orders. -- march are orders, my fellow americans, let's roll . >> and here to accept the courage award on todd beamer's behalf, are his parents. david and peggy beamer.
