>> as you know from your own service, you're given the order, you have to comply. the order only has a limited exceptions including for religious exemption. now for religious exemption, it puts these military chaplains in a difficult position. they are literally tasked with trying to determine whether someone is faithful or faithless. they speak to these servicemembers and determine if this is just an opportunistic claim of religious exemption or if they are truly religious and have a bonafide objection to the vaccine. it is a very fluid type of standard and if these chaplins are at the epicenter. pete: they sure are. you're exactly right about that. this will apply to the army, navy, marine corporation, different services, different deadlines moving. in your experience understanding the uniform of code of military justice and military justice, is this the type of thing they will push men and women out for ultimately -- i have my own opinion who has been a commander in the army, but if there are thousands and thousands i can't get the exemption, i'm not vaccinated they will follow through? accidentally emailed back to fox news, can we try to kill this? probably not meant for fox news. they tried to cover up, to dispute the challenges of the election. there is no legal implication here. but does this kind of stuff go on quite a bit in washington? >> it is interesting. that question from fox followed a column i had written, they asked for a response to it because the question i was raised whether elias is part of a contingency plan to challenge the election. what is really interesting to me, they would select elias. there is a special counsel in the field looking at his role in the russian conspiracy scandals. he himself has been sanctioned in prior litigation. reporters accused him of lying to them about the dossier. it is a very odd choice by mcauliffe. you generally don't want your attorney to split his time between your election and answering a special counsel on a prior election. and the question that was raised why would you pick elias at this time? i'm jonathan morris. i'm a good christian. what does that mean to you? it means that i follow the teachings of jesus christ. first of all i would ever say that. i don't know any christian who would say i'm a good christian. rachel: why doesn't the pope clear this up? joining us now to share his top five, i love top five lists including one you saw, is fox news contributor, film critic kevin mccarthy, all dressed up for halloween. kevin, i asked your viewers yesterday what are the best movies for halloween. we want to get to the viewers. take us through your list. what is the first movie we should be watching. >> will, good morning to you. i'm a big horror fan. happy halloween. my wife and i got engaged on halloween. this is our favorite holiday. five movies i will list off. some are underrated, some are well-known. first one is quote sinister." this was 2012. stars as ethan hawke a true crime fighter moves his family into a house where a brutal movie took place. he knows this. doesn't tell his family. find as box of 8-millimeter film that has grew some murders on them. this movie next to the the shining, is one of the scariest films i ever seen. atmospheric, brutal, incredibly well-designed horror film. that is my number five. number for, another underrated film called "the descent." a british horror film. i never felt more claustrophobic in a theater watching this film. a group of women go on caving expedition, while in the cave, they are being essentially horrified by predators in the cave. it is one of the scariest, most claustrophobic and inends tense horror films. will: i never heard of the two movies. these are two suggestions. >> why i wanted to do some underrated ones. the next one is "the cabin in the woods." another underrated horror film. directed by drew goddard. this is spin on idea of a cabin in the woods horror film. a group of friends go out to a cabin in the woods, something unexpectedly happens. the third act is one much most shocking, so original it is one of the game changing horror films of all time. those three are underrated. definitely next two you will no. association saying its party is facing a potential disaster as terry mcauliffe sinks in the polls. rachel: todd piro live in virginia ahead of this bellwether race. todd, what are you seeing? reporter: we've been talking about this for weeks, now, guys as you know the enthusiasm gap between terry mcauliffe and glenn youngkin, as we approach election day on tuesday, turns out we're not the only ones who noticed. check this out. this is telling. democrats trying to stave off panic in the last minute fund-raising email from the democratic governors association, reading quote, democrats are facing a disaster. we can't let the gop break the democratic firewall in virginia because what happens there will lay the groundwork for 2022. that warning thanks in no small part to scenes like this. democrat mcauliffe greeted by a paltry crowd of 40 people in norfolk. republican youngkin, by throngs of raucous supporters, most of whom said the race turned on the topic what their kids are being taught in schools. listen. >> we're not going to be terrified anymore. and i mean that as a pun, terry-fied. i think the democrats want us to run scared. they kept us under covid for far too long. we saw what was going on in our schools. we started to fight back and oh, what we have revealed. >> i think that moms are seeing the reality of these terrible policies that have been coming from the left which their children are bearing the brunt of. it is just not fair. it is unacceptable. so i think that they're behind glenn youngkin he sees it for what it is. he wants to stop it. whereas terry mcauliffe says moms don't have a choice. reporter: listen to this, despite repeat, repeated claims that crt is not being taught in virginia schools mcauliffe making that claim, the department of education website, mentions the phrase critical race theory, including from a 2015 presentation when terry mcauliffe was governor. back to you. will: todd, thank you so much. pete: they know it is not popular. they know parents don't want it. but they know the unions and left-wing benefactors demand it. it is there, they want to hide it an deny it. i will say this about virginia. what happens in vegas stays in vegas. what about to happen in virginia will not stay in virginia. if that goes -- by the way new jersey -- will: new jersey is tightening as well. pete: big time. rachel: this video is part of the reason. video put out by project veritas, top advisor for governor murphy said you know, listen, we can't say it out loud, again, they know their policies are unpopular, they have to hide it. so the advisor was caught on tape saying, we know this is not popular, the passports and making everybody continue with these mandates so we're not talking about it but we're going to do that if we're elected. we can't say it on the campaign trail. interesting clip. it is in spanglish. the advisor is latina. you can see some subtitles underneath. this is what they do. what really upset parent wasn't just they found out what people were saying in school or what the teachers were teaching in school and all this ideology and indoctrination and very suggestive sexual stuff finding in their kids curriculums, but also that the doj and the white house and the school board associations were coordinating to call parents domestic terrorists. this is something that donald trump by the way sounded off on with judge jeanine last night. take a look. >> i've been watching the school board hearings more closely than i ever have to be honest. it is so interesting. >> yeah. >> the parents are incensed. they're not terrorists. they're just people that are so upset. they're angry, they're hurt, they're crying because their children are being taught things that in our opinion and in my opinion, in a vast majority of the people in this country's opinion, they don't want their children to hear about this stuff. they have want to go back to reading, writing and arithmetic. will: whether or not talking about new jersey or virginia, one way to lose an election, my suspicion, one way to lose an election, teach a very unpopular policy in schools. second, deny it is happening. every parent, every child see every day it is happening, because of remote children, we can trust the children as we play our clips. see it is happening while they lie it is happening. finally call parents domestic terrorists to attempt to push back on the education, in fact use the department of justice to investigate them for domestic terrorism. that is -- you come from the political background. both of you have deeper experience running for office, my suspicion that is bad way to go about winning an election heat. pete: that is a bad way to win an election have resort to tactics, the lincoln project, turned out a hoax, democrat operatives dressed up like white supremacists. they tried to pull it off as the youngkin team. it was quickly exposed. you don't do that when you're winning. you don't take risky moves like that. again, it is not even close anymore. eight points is a lot. pete: mcauliffe confirmed it saying, teachers, parents should not have more of a say. he threw gasoline on top of the whole thing. no, it should be bureaucrats make those decisions. nancy pelosi famously said it you have to pass the bill to find out what is it in. the democrats in virginia trying that strategy, elect me, you find out what i'm for. rachel: people are on to them. will: president biden met in turkey. rachel: talked on the environment and as world leaders talked climate change. right now president biden is urging them to increase energy production. interesting. pete: kevin corke joins us live with the latest. kevin, great to see you. reporter: great to see you guys. this is the real rub here. with inflation running rampant and escalating border crisis and energy costs quite frankly especially gas prices surging the biden administration is talking new climate initiatives abroad, doubling down on its efforts to expand global climate initiatives. all this despite domestic and diplomatic policies seemingly have reduced america's energy independence. however on capitol hill lawmakers still insist whether it's here at home or abroad the president's agenda is moving forward including the push to cement a couple of massive pieces of legislation involving infrastructure and lots of new social spending. >> we will pass those two bills you've been hearing about. [applause] we will pass them. [inaudible]. reporter: jim clyburn speaking there. that optimism comes despite demands for progressives here in washington that those bills be passed in tandem. resistance by centrists over in the senate, specifically joe manchin and krysten sinema who are concerned with billowing costs associated with these massive bills. you probably remember the very first float out there was like six trillion dollars. they sort of zeroed in on 3.5 trillion. now it is $1.75 trillion. i'm not sure they will push this over the finish line on tuesday. we'll all be watching together. i can say this, if the winds of change are blowing in virginia, it may get a little tougher on tuesday for folks in washington, guys. pete: great point. will: thank you, kevin. pete: you're following this very closely. there are climate change panel after climate change panel. what are they discussing and what could they attempt to unveil that the rest of us would have to deal with? reporter: i heard it earlier may have been you, i'm not sure, this idea of extracting ourselves, removing ourselves from the paris climate accord is really something that rankled a lot of our partners and frankly some people who are not our partners internationally. so what we're really trying to see happen here from the administration's perspective is sort of ease our way back into that, which is to say, pick up some policies that will encourage global taxation to encourage other nations especially developed nations to not just give money and give resources to those nations still trying to catch up but also to quote, do our part with respect to the climate but what is i think most interesting that you're going to find out this entire show being overseas, lots of pronouncements, lots of talk, lots of proposals, not a lot of meat there on the bone. rachel: yeah. i understand xi xinping is only appearing via satellite, not in person for the climate portion? reporter: yeah. rachel: that is interesting because they're the biggest polluters. reporter: you know what? this goes back to what we're saying here in washington all the time. you can talk about it here and america's responsibility, but if you don't have the full buy-in from china, india, other major partners around the globe, what you're trying to achieve may not happen anytime soon. will: kevin corke in washington. thank you so much. reporter: thank you, guys. will: you know what question question would i love, do masks work around the chin? devotion to science clear. i would like to know why does joe biden wear a mask when he is socially distanced on a stage, when approaches world leaders, see the videos, he talks this close the mask comes down to the chin. unmasks to cost. i'm curious. i can't keep up with the science. pete: get the memo if you're vaccinated you can still transmit. maybe he didn't. rachel: these science guys like biden want to rearrange our whole life, our whole way of living based on climate science, which again, i don't really trust these people. they don't seem to even trust themselves. will: that is the larger point, it is the science. pete: you made the larger point in the earlier hour as well. all these races are going on all the ways the american people get hit in public safety, firehouses closed in new york city, 26 of them because of covid vaccine mandates, and elites are jetting around the globe talking about climate change? will: 85 car convoys jetting around in massive airplanes. we want to share this with you. a good way to end this segment. shaquille o'neal was on a podcast, earn your leisure. talking about how much money he has versus how much money his children have, how he might go about passing it on or not. listen. >> my kids are older now and they're kind of upset with me. not really upset, but they don't understand. because i tell them all the time. we ain't rich. i'm rich. what is going to be the reaction to this? because i would imagine if there is fire, we've had some recently, what's, what will happen? how will response times be impacted? >> well they certainly will be impacted but people should be fed up and they should be fed up and clear about where the blame lies for these staffing shortfalls. this mandate sends able-bodied people within tested negative for covid, otherwise fit for duty hours earlier, send them closed. fire companies are closed or running short staffed this is mandate that exists no other place in the cities or states of america. this is the only city where you do not have the option to do weekly testing now to opt in. if we're all following the science, why is every other city and state in the country following one fact pattern, one policy and new york seems to be the only one following this so strictly that people are choosing to retire or quit over it? rachel: tell you who else is quitting? students. new york city public school enrollment has fallen by 50,000 during this pandemic. so i mean it appears to me this is just a city that is collapsing right before our eyes? this thing is huge, ken. how does it get organized and what does that reveal about its intentions that they rejected this visa? >> so they get organized using social media and traditional advertising. literally human traffickers run ads like we think of advertising up here, you know, over the years when i was at dhs i tweeted out a number of them so people could see them. just very traditional ads. business cards. this organization is a money-making operation. they are obviously very defiant of the law. so it is capitalism by frankly people who are happy to take advantage of the left-wing open borders mentality that prevails right now. you mentioned the rejection of mexican work visas. this tells you, some people come to the american border claim asylum. oh, protect me where i'm from. mexico effectively offered to do that. these folks en masse rejected that. we passed a regulation that said you had to ask for asylum from countries you came through and have it ajudicated to come to america. the point of asylum is to be safe, correct? 77% vaccinated and by the way correction officers 54%. we were talking about that earlier and those are the guys manning the jails and you think maybe they have been exposed to covid a bit over time, maybe a big chunk of them have natural immunity. i know a couple guys i served with were in corrections and they say of course we have had covid and we have natural immunity and no one wants to listen to it at all and now our jobs are at stake. rachel: including dr. fauci, we had doctor mcgarry on yesterday and they said they are doing studies on natural immunity because our government, which we gave billions of dollars to to deal with covid hasn't does-- done studies on natural immunity. a new york city councilman and this is what he had to say about how minutes are affecting the city. >> say anything about whether he would continue the mandate. i think a lot of the boys in blue in the city because he is a former law-enforcement officer in the city are hopeful he walks it back and i talked to a couple yesterday saying how is this playing out and they said they all know people directly who have for personal reasons or they have had covid before, one female officer for years from retirement said she would have to leave her dream job because she made a personal health decision and right now they will be put on unpaid administrative leave pending future decisions about what their status will be. this will be a fair dam between and tidy and fdny had long do they stay on and what-- unpaid leave? maybe eric adams makes that call. rachel: i have friends and family across the country, family member, single mom, for kids right now on pins and needles waiting to see if her exemption will be accepted or not and if not she loses her job. it's happening everywhere and by the way as i see the piles of trash, this is a big beautiful country and a lot of people thinking i got to get out of new york city because of rural america is not like this, florida is not like this. than any other developed nation of the last two decades. we have been the leader, so why are we continuing to cut our economy while the chinese and russians attended virtually. it's ironic they are the only ones saving some carbon footprint by not flying massive jets to sit down and talk to each other in a room, but the truth of the matter in the can get the votes for the bill because it's a gross, obscene, or to our economy, it will hurt employment and frankly it will change our energy infrastructure at a time when we need national ash natural gas for our economy. rachel: if they don't pass it tuesday, and if glenn youngkin wins the race in virginia that everyone has their eye on, how much harder does it become for them to get this done after that >> it becomes massively harder because all the polling is trending glenn youngkin's way. if you are a moderate democrat across the united states, you know joe biden has no credibility with the voters, but for glenn youngkin to come out of nowhere and become the next of governor of the commonwealth of virginia says every single thing to you that if you follow joe biden you will be following him off a cliff and it will be going back to washington d.c. everyone is looking at this. i will be surprised if they get a vote tuesday because everyone will be watching this election tuesday night. pete: i hope you are right, but everyone will be watching virginia where the race has become about education and if you have terry mcauliffe saying parents should not be in charge of what is taught in the classroom as we learn critical race theory is being taught even when he was governor yet he still denies that it's being taught. when it comes to education, it wasn't front and center before for republicans or even really in any significant races. what's changed and who does it benefit? >> here's what happened, when you send kids home and kept them home for eight year end by the way that was all the fault of the teachers union, let's be clear. parents had an opportunity to see what was actually taught for the first time in a very, very long time to hear when you the mothers who are friendly part of the pta which are typically cheerleaders for what the public schools are doing, that's when you know you have a problem. what really happened was the school board members in loudoun county fairfax county instead of apologizing or reversing course, they were obstinate, they were rude, disrespectful and others no matter whether you are republican or democrat have had enough and they frankly responded in kind and that's what's happened in virginia. terry mcauliffe made the wrong decision siding with the teachers union, which is what every democrat chooses to do instead of siding with the kids because chain crisis, money printing crisis here in america and the challenges you face as a business owner >> thank you. rachel: so, what you think about what's happening at the g 20 summit and do you think it will have any impact on your business >> well, i do hope that it can reflect something positive on the world and on our business. as we have been doing this for the last 20 years. it's nothing new to us. as a matter of fact, our senior vp for sustainability is going to be speaking at the summit on the seventh. we are presenting the farming sector, so this is a testament for fresh del monte for the achievements we have done over the years. however, i believe that is a lot to be done for the climate and for the environment. it's not a matter of just meeting and talking about it. there's a so much to be done because of all of the politics involved in terms of chemicals, the chemical industry, the oil industry and this is the area we need. pete: you have been doing this for 20 years and yet what we see is unprecedented shortages, supply chain crisis and you are having to raise your prices on basic items for people across the country. what are the biggest factors as to why inflation is affecting your business and the economy at large? >> if you go back two years ago, i did say in october, 2019, that the prices in the way that the world treats the protists industry is quite unsustainable and unfair and i said that two years ago. the problem with the produce industry is that we don't have fair treatment. will: mohammed, when dealing with inflation supply chain issues it's not unique to the produce industry. you are part of a larger economy that seems to be suffering from not just inflationary prices as pete mentioned, but problems getting your product to american shelves and that seems to be an acute problem that is more recent since 2019. so, in your estimation and you run a massive corporation in dealing with this, what are the contributing factors? why do we have trouble getting products on the shelves and why when they do are they so expensive? >> we did get the products on the shelf. as a matter of fact, as producers, exporters and distributors, we do bring the products to the shelves. it's actually the industry, when i say the industry it's the retail industry that have very big issue with raising prices on protists and that is something that we have been facing as producers exporters and then to reflect at the end of the day on the growers themselves and the community and the producing countries and that something we need to address and that's what we are working with retailers really to find that the solution this issue. banana prices have been banana prices have been for 50 cents more or less for 15 years in spite of inflation, increase of cost and that's something i've been talking about and that's why we are asking to raise prices. pete: mohammed, thank you for your time this morning. we appreciated. will: thank you. >> value is more for someone who has broken our laws and as a result there's consequences and now to say oh, now we'll you money and it's more money than we would pay a patriot, i am outraged. i think this is, you just wonder where is the outcry against some of these policies that are just-- i don't know, they are unbelievable to me. i can't even believe it. pete: you start to impact their priorities and they believe no person is illegal and anything donald trump did was ill-- evil and they are willing-- here's the different part, christopher paid into a life insurance policy that was election in virginia. pete: democrat governor association saying it's party is facing a potential quote disaster as terry mcauliffe plummets enough pulses. will: we are live in virginia ahead of the bellwether race. good morning. >> good morning and happy sunday. we have been talking about this enthusiasm gap between terry mcauliffe and glenn youngkin for weeks and apparently we are not the only ones that noticed. this is sunny, democrats to stave off a panic in a last-minute fundraising e-mail from the democratic governors association reading, democrats are facing a disaster. we can't let the gop break the democratic firewall in virginia because what happens there will lay the groundwork for 2022. that warning thanks in no small part seems-- with scenes like this as terry mcauliffe read about a paltry crowd and republican glenn youngkin with supporters who most said the race turn on what that kids are being taught in school. lesson. >> not going to be terrified anymore and, i mean, that as a pun. i think that the democrats want us to run a scared. they kept us under covid for far too long. we saw what was going on in our schools. we have started to fight back and oh, what we have revealed. >> i think moms are seeing the realities of these policies that have been coming from the left, which their children are bearing the brunt of and it's just not fair and it's repeated claims by terry mcauliffe that crt is not being taught in virginia schools, the phrase appears on the department of education website including in a 2015 presentation when terry mcauliffe was youngkin this will be the election of a moms and dads. this is truly a grassroots issue. it's not an issue that was concocted in at some consultants back room. this was truly grassroots with parents angry and tired of being bullied by a bunch of crazy people, crazy ideas trying to indoctrinate our kids. moms and dads at seeing what happened over the course of the pandemic with their kids home saying this is not arithmetic, this is not right, this is not reading, what are you teaching my children and some of it actually pornographic and fighting back. pete: and terry mcauliffe on the campaign trail has the gall to say two things, to clear statements, critical race theory not being taught when the evidence with more evidence out today that back in 2015 it was being taught so he's lying to voters. at the same time he's openly saying i don't think parents should be the primary voice about what their kids learn in the classroom. i don't care if you are a hard-core republican, independent or same democrat, you look at that site i'm in charge and i don't believe your lying eyes and i know what's being taught and they will go to the polls as a result your did you see those crowds. glenn youngkin was saying it feels like a movement. you felled on the campaign trail we will see-- and in new jersey, which is has been much closer than anyone thought, same revelations made in that state as well. will: if that is not enough to kill a campaign, perhaps ride the coattails of joe biden, kamala harris, those are national figures that terry mcauliffe invited into the state of averaging appeared congressman donaldson said be careful because the agenda is a recipe for failure. >> these school board members in martin county of fairfax county instead of apologizing they were obstinate, they were rude, they were disrespectful and mothers no matter whether you are republican or democrat had had enough. terry mcauliffe made a wrong decision. he sided with the teachers union, which is friendly what every democrat chooses to do instead of fighting for the kids. if you are a moderate democrat across the u.s., you know joe biden has no credibility with the voters, but for glenn youngkin to come out of nowhere and become the next governor of the commonwealth of virginia sends every signal to you that if you follow joe biden you will be following him off of a cliff. rachel: by the way, he's been involved in this race because her members his administration and his d.o.j. that colluded with the school board association to concocted this letter and presented to the d.o.j. and say hey, we need to investigate parents because they are domestic terrorists. this issue was hot already when the-- when parents were smeared and threatened as potential domestic terrorists. this really set this thing on fire and by the way todd talked about the things in 2015 at an education department under terry mcauliffe, the presentation in 2015 said that they want to embrace the crt in order to reengineer attitudes and belief systems. that was under terry mcauliffe. pete: 2015 and it's been interesting to watch the rates in virginia coincide with their attempt to surpass scioscia list bills on capitol hill and a a lt of people in terry mcauliffe's can't believe they needed that bill to get past. it didn't happen. joe aydin's in rome talking about climate change which is a bad look in and of itself and others about tentatively scheduled for tuesday which doesn't do any good for terry mcauliffe and the democrats start to lose their leverage on whether they need to pass it or not. why would moderates go out on a ledge or progressives give it more if they don't see electoral upside so if glenn youngkin wins big in the bill doesn't pass tuesday a lot of the crowds socialist wish list could go down the grain which is great for america, but they didn't wanted to go down this way. will: you said earlier what happens in virginia will not stay in virginia. it will be a bellwether to the nation. a few weeks ago on the will cain podcast i had conversations with clay travis, handed out kick which subsequently sold to fox and he's done well for himself and i asked how do you raise your boys in a way that makes them that they understand they have to make their own way in the world and i think it's a fascinating question not just to those that have made a lot of money but growing up in america, you go up in a relatively rich environment, not necessarily rich, but a level of comfort that others in the world don't and we want to raise people absolutely no idea and the men and women of the fire department of new york city have been hear from the very start, responding to calls, they have gone into houses that no one else wanted to go in. we have taken care of the sick and dying and we have continued to since the start and we will continue to do so. the fact that this they are now at this time at the end of the pandemic is turning it around to dictate to us what goes into our body and not only what goes into our body but the fact that we have to prove it in showing our certificate to the fire department just to say we did get it is horrendous to me. people should be aware and should know that this may or is putting people's lives at risk and endanger. there will be ambulance rundown, powerhouses will not be open. we want to serve the people of new york city. we want to respond to calls. we want to work. he is not allowing us to work. he is starting to dictate what goes on in this city. he's starting to dictate the emergency response to the people of this city, which we are adamantly against and we won't stand for it and we are still fighting for the people of this city by standing up to him now and telling him he can't do this. we want to come to work. we want to go out there and save lives. we haven't hesitated from the start and we want to continue to save lives a. rachel: i'm going to stick with you for a second because i know you have worked throughout the pandemic. how do you feel about your job right now, are you going to stick with it? >> i'll be honest. i have been doing this for 16 years, one of the highest trained paramedics in new york city and i'm contemplating leaving. absolutely kills me too have to say that because i love to be a paramedic. i love what i do. i cover lower manhattan and i have responded and showed up to work every single day. like i have said i have gone to peoples houses that no one else wanted to. i've been on my knees doing cpr grieving for these patients telling family members i will do everything i possibly can and the fact that this mayor has put me in this position makes me beyond furious and not just me, all of the emts, paramedics and firemen are eeriest at this mayor is putting our people, our new york citizens in harm's way. whatever he says, whatever quotes he gives out, he's putting people in danger. rachel: breaks my heart to think we could even lose someone as dedicated as you are to your profession and someone we need so badly especially in new york. i'm going to give you the last word. >> you know i don't get it, a year ago mcdonald's was handing out free meals to essential workers and the mayor was talking about ticket day parades and first responders, many did not even stay home the day were away from their families months on end and now to go out there and do this is a complete show of power people don't see out there that the democrats aren't your friends and they are trying to hold power something is wrong. we had to get the city 'left in the nation back and start respecting first responders and essential workers and maybe worry about giving them raises and appreciate the great work they have done instead
