perfection culture we have been catapulted in and our children are seeing and the fact it is on their school photos which everyone is entitled to that awkward weird school photo hanging on mom's wall and say we are going to white in your teeth or even your skintone says we are not okay with being who you are. i don't think it is good for a child at this age to say we are going to change something about you. >> the statement from the photography company reads as follows. our goal is always to authentically capture each child we photograph, most if not all school photography companies offer this service and it is an expectation as an available option for schools. critics will say this is just a way to make a little bit more money if you are the photography company and i understand the argument but aren't they missing the bigger picture you and i have been talking about? >> absolutely and that is a false statement on their part. my daughter's elementary school that was never an option on her photos so now that she's in middle school i was shocked to see and that is why i spoke out. i've never seen this before as an option. not every school photography studio is actually offering this for children. some are just allowing children to be children and if there is out of place where glasses are crooked who cares, let them be who they are in that moment you capture that photograph but i think it is an expectation of parents to be able to photoshop or retouch your child at school photo. >> bigger picture here, how important is it to reinforce to your kids that your imperfections are what make you you. >> that's the most important thing you can teach your kids that we are all different for a reason and that is what makes you you. if we all looked the same what kind of world would we be living in. it would be so boring. teaching them to embrace who they are and love themselves is setting them up to be better adults down the road and own who they are and say i am good enough, i good enough and this is okay. i don't think setting them up for failure by retouching your photo or whitening their teeth is good for them when they are 18 and look at their school photo and say i don't look like that, what is going on. i don't know. >> we appreciate you coming on and talking about this. they let me on tv looking like this and nobody retouch is me. thank you very much. >> it is crazy. >> you've seen me in makeup. >> i should use a lot more and also lose about 20 pounds. moving on. >> still ahead, buzz light year is getting a new voice and some wonder if the decision has to do with politics. we will see about that. oh man. >> what was lawrence wearing, halloween around the corner, lawrence jones and carley shimkus get a start on the fun a with a book at blood manor. and there you have it- woah. wireless on the most reliable network nationwide. wow. -big deal! ...we get unlimited for just 30 bucks. sweet, i get that too and mine has 5g included. that's cool, but ours save us serious clam-aroonies. relax people, my wireless is crushing it. that's because you all have xfinity mobile with your internet. it's wireless so good, it keeps one upping itself. >> it centered on the screen and i will say it now. rules for theeven offer me, governor gretchen witmer's covered man is going mass was a letter of our nation's capital, despite being under a strict indoor mask mandate even for the fully vaccinated plus the hotel she was captured at has its own indoor mask policy. >> despite going to run dissents refusing to play mask and vaccine mandates new cdc data shows florida is among the best state in the country when it comes to 7-day covid jason death rates. >> jimmy, let's take a look at the stats. this is the florida 7-day covid case, you 660.6, lowest cases in the us .0.2%, second lowest in depth. let's look at the map and use you know where we are in the big apple, much larger as well as illinois come much larger, california a little bit larger but nevertheless a lot more. how infuriating is this to the blue check brigade on twitter was the argument that the sentence was killing people. >> blue checks in the media are asking for privacy during this difficult time because this is a crushing blow. a crushing blow and shame on them because we did get to a place where people were rooting for negative health outcomes in florida. biden was calling dissent is a murderer, being cavalier with your kids, they were going after football fans, football games in florida getting everybody killed. go to a football game in florida, the biggest health risk is jaguars fans jumping off the roof of the stadium. jillian: it is 7-day numbers, another 7 days might have been different. we have to keep that in mind but it is still the numbers do not lie when you look at them and they are low right now. to your point -- sorry. let me get the question out here. you look at states like california, different states where numbers are surging and seeing an increase and you wonder, it is getting colder in the northeast, more people inside and you wonder if we will be back like we were last fall with more people with restrictions and lockdowns and how much more people can take of that. >> that's the frustration. we are in a place where we are fighting each other harder than we are fighting the pandemic which is why there has been so much of a blue about florida doing beautifully which is disgusting and this might be the biggest argument against mandates. i have the vaccine. i'm pro vaccine. i got the johnson & johnson, didn't tell me was magic johnson or keyshawn johnson but in places like florida, understand, where cases are going down we would have fired cops if they had enforced that mandate at a time when crime is going up and cases are going down we are laying off cops i feel like we are fighting the wrong battle into your point about this being a seasonal thing, we have so much data that tells us it is a seasonal thing, that at this point we have a very good vaccination rate. i'm not saying i don't want more people to get vaccinated if that is what they want for themselves but this is where we are. between natural immunity, the vaccine itself, we have a close to what everyone would consider threshold for herd immunity. at some point we are doing more damage by holding people hostage with all of the social distancing and public health initiatives because a lot of the public health officials are not following themselves and number 2 like we see with florida we are fighting over our health, we should let everybody take the targeted approach they think is right for them. >> not saying it is seasonal. when he gets colder people are indoors more in certain areas. >> of course. of course. >> don't take medical advice from me. >> i take most of my medical advice from you and that explains a lot. buzz light year recast with chris evans over to melons and wondering if politics has something to do with this. this new film is about the man that inspired the toy with that is the backdrop to you think this is political? >> on some level yes because they have cracked down on tim allen in the past for being a bit of a conservative. i'm not going to go crazy here. as long as cowboy woody is in place we are all safe but seriously as a parents where my real concerns lie when i heard there was another toy story it was all of those poor parents about to get taken to the cleaner because they got to buy a whole new round of toy story, a new buzz lightyear which means everybody's credit card balance will go to infinity and beyond. todd: who will benefit from this, ladies like my wife who love chris evans and are probably going to prefer which does nothing for you and me. what are you going to do? >> you nailed it. they knew dads are done with this. we are at our wit's end, on a 12 toy store, we just bought a fork for the last toy story, the toy was called forky, you could get it for free at any fast food chain but they had us over the floor for $42, slick move by them. i give them props. >> look at this. she's not even coming at you hard. >> you know. >> everyone thinks politics are involved in everything and they are a lot nowadays but i don't know. >> you are my dream boat. >> my man. you've got a friend in me. >> no comments. big show still ahead. jillian: we will be right back. (sfx: video game vehicle noises, horns beeping,) (engines revving, cars hitting one another.) (sfx: continued vehicle calamity.) just think, he'll be driving for real soon. every new chevy equinox comes standard with chevy safety assist, including automatic emergency braking. find new peace of mind. find new roads. chevrolet. these folks don't have time to go to the post office they use stamps.com all the services of the post office only cheaper get a 4-week trial plus postage and a digital scale go to stamps.com/tv and never go to the post office again. >> it is thursday october 20 eighth. president biden headed to the hill in a melee attempt to get the party on board with his politics but as the showdown between modern and progressive heats up looking more likely the commander-in-chief will be headed overseas without a political victory to tout. jillian: there is this. >> hallelujah. seems like donald trump has confirmed he will be coming to virginia so we are very excited.
