surgeries, and i did this -- >> laura: let's do this whole hour about you. >> sean: this guy that does face transplants, dr. rodriguez. >> laura: okay, good. >> sean: i love to see her operation, i want to see it. >> laura: i'm going to send it to you in a minute. >> sean: i have a better idea, let's do a segment on it and we will show people on live tv. >> laura: okay, i will do it tomorrow. >> sean: okay, let's play it. >> laura: [laughs] hannity, thanks. that's a block for tomorrow. all right, hannity, great show. i'm laura ingraham, this is "the ingraham angle" for a busy ohmic very busy tuesday night. what is it like being a conservative in a heavily democratic loudoun county, virginia, school board? well, tonight we speak to a man in that unique position who gives us a behind-the-scenes look at what's going on. plus, new piece in "the washington post" reveals what the left wants for america. to have less, and to suffer of course. congress when jim jordan, mark green explains how this messaging is all about the 2022 midterms, but first, rule and ruin, the portland experience. that's the focus of tonight angle number one. now, not long ago portland, oregon, was hailed as the model city, proof that radical progressives could create a wealthy urban utopia, albeit with a hippie granola sort of vibe to it. lefty comics even created an entire tv show called "portlandia, remember that? it was shouted accolades as its depiction of portland is up quirky fun little city run by friendly vegans and environmentalists. and remember all of those keep portland weird signs and t-shirts? well, maybe they should focus on keeping portland safe instead. >> according to portland police, they responded to 110 shootings just last month. that's about four shootings a day, even more alarming, almost 85% of shootings this year have been in north and east portland. city and county leaders are still scrambling to slow the gun violence, but so far community members have not seen any results. >> i don't know, you know, exactly with the answers but i know one thing is it's harder now when you call the police, it takes longer to get here. >> laura: the city has now passed a grim milestone, a record 67 homicides this year, which follows last year's 83% spike in homicides. portland now has more murders than bigger western cities like san fran and seattle, and we must never forget that this violence did not occur in a vacuum. it took root after oregon democrats made it clear that it considered president trump a bigger threat to portland than the radicals who were occupying an entire city blocks and setting fires. >> their forces are not needed here, they are not wanted here, and they're making a challenging situation worse. >> the protests in portland have been overwhelmingly peaceful. crime in portland and across oregon was down before donald trump sent in his secret police. >> these guys came in like a bulldozer to a disaster the administration's own making. >> laura: please, democrats are the ones who created the disaster and it is a deadly one. now, who knows how many lives were lost and damage was done after they cut $27 million from the police budget just last year. and earlier this year, the state passed what is in fact pro-rider legislation banning police from using force against them and charging violators with only second-degree official misconduct. now, meanwhile, portland liberals were coddling and encourage the marxist revolutionaries who were attacking police officers and putting the city to the torch. >> there is violence and there is disruption. what's your message to the people on the streets tonight? >> my messages you've been hurt, thank you for calling out the it administration for what it's doing, it's unconstitutional, it's an affront to democracy. >> laura: now, this only of course demoralized the police. since august 2020, nearly 200 portland police officers have left the force. now the police are so undermanned they can't even enforce routine traffic violations and they certainly don't have the numbers to keep rampant homelessness in check. but have no fear i'm a because kate brown and friends are focused on thwarting the real threat, right-wing violence. in august they wrote "the threat and use of violence against people in the instruction of property to further bigoted or political social objectives undermines our growing commitment to a truly inclusive community. we are committed to working together to keep our community safe and counter dangerous efforts to undermine democracy. but when antifa committed $500,000 in damage last week in the city's downtown area, did any of those democracy protectors condemn it? of course not! they don't care, because they will say anything to maintain power and control. matter how devastating to their constituents. >> he and his wife were living in a nearly constant state of anxiety. their business has been vandalized or broken into, the windows shattered four times so far during the pandemic. >> since march 2020 we spent most $20,000 for all this. people who are doing this, they feel really comfortable while doing that. they feel like nothing is going to happen and no response will come as quick. >> laura: this is all kind of the sad final protectable act of everything liberals touch from detroit to oakland and now portland him at this reign of terror always ends with lawlessness and exodus and of course death, and that's "the angle." all right, joining us now is don osborne, the brother-in-law of jacob vasquez, who was shot and killed in northwest portland last month. first of all, we are so extremely sorry for your family's loss. i know it is horrific for all of you. you heard jacob was gunned down in a supposedly safe part of the city. obviously other than being devastated, what was going through your mind? what was your reaction? >> i just -- thank you for having me on, first of all, but the thing that went through our mind is "how could this happen, how could jacob, such full of life, how could he be took in like that and shopper no reason"? and how come it happened? why? why did happen? >> laura: are you surprised that there are individuals still in public office who maintain that cutting police funding ultimately shrinking the force through demoralization, demonization, et cetera, that that's -- that was the okay thing to do? that was in fact the right and the moral thing to do? does that shock you? >> it absolutely shocks me. to absolutely believe to think you're going to cut law enforcement by almost 200 officers and to run them out of town and to think that's going to have a positive effect on the community is absolutely ludicrous, and i think that was one of the direct causes of my brother-in-law being murdered. >> laura: and the killer has not been caught. have you gotten any other updates from law enforcement? >> no, since we first talked we have not received any more updates. i believe their hands are tied. law enforcement is running so thin and all of this is coming back on the innocent and the criminals are running free. >> laura: did it surprise you that you had the downtown area just rampaged through, smashing windows, a half million dollars worth of damage and basically i guess because -- again, there undermanned, the police, they just let it happen. last week. i mean, how do businesses survive this let alone all the murders that have taken place just over the last two years? >> i don't know how they're going to make it. officers are so -- officers able to show up, they can't do anything. i have a message for antifa or whoever it is, where were you riding? where were you during the protests when my brother was shot in the back? where were you? >> laura:ell, any local officials reach out to you about your family's loss? for the state -- again, an ongoing investigation? an individual shot in the back, an innocent person just gunned down the street and you hear a lot of demoralizing the people quoted in my angle, any word? >> we haven't heard anything from city officials. very disappointing. i just think that we can sit down and talk and try to find us some common sense solutions to curtail this for many more jacobs being shot. the criminals are being protected right now and the innocent are there to fend for themselves. it's a travesty, what's happening in portland. it's a travesty what happened to my brother-in-law. >> laura: do you expect the city ultimately to begin to see another exodus of residence if we don't see a change? >> i don't see any other result than that. i mean, up where the shooting happened of my brother-in-law, that was such a -- they never had anything like that happen there and it's spreading throughout the city. you know, it's a beautiful city but it's being run down day after day. i'm not from portland. when i was up there i was like -- you could tell this is a bootable city, but you could tell that it's being destroyed. i don't know what else they are going to have any other option but to leave. >> laura: they've got to vote the bums out. please extend our condolences to your entire family that i certainly hope the killer is apprehended and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. thank you, stay in touch with us please. now, speaking of the specific northwest, vaccine mandates in washington state just kicked in and already people are being forced out of their jobs. among those are dozens of seattle police officers and firefighters. now, you can see them here climbing the steps of city hall today to turn in their boots. also among the unvaxxed and unemployed are 127 washington state patrol employees. including my next guest, trooper robert lemay. >> this is my final signoff after 22 years serving the citizens of the state of washington, i'm being asked to leave because i am dirty. this is the last time you will hear me in a state patrol car. james, you can kiss my [bleep]. >> laura: robert joins me now. robert, it's fine for you to be out there patrolling unvaccinated for the last 19 months, but now i guess you're just not wanted, not needed, not wanted, how's that feel? >> well, it feels pretty bad. the problem is they awoke a sleeping giant. if it's only contacts. i'm not a social media type guy, so my kids up and helping me out and they are like you're getting 2 million hits here, i've had contacts from great britain. i guess i'm in russian paper -- i mean, it is insane. it's going across the state and across the world. i've been on talk shows pretty much solid since 2:00 yesterday and i could do a ton more if i had the time of day. it's just a mess. >> laura: now, seattle mayor jenny durkan defended this vaccine mandate this way. >> what we want is a city as we want to have our valued employees, but we need to for public health for them to be vaccinated. the people of seattle, when they dial 911, they want to know the person who is responding to that emergency is fully vaccinated. the people of seattle need to know that that person has fully vaccinated and least likely to transmit covid to them or their loved ones. >> laura: robert, your reaction to that? >> well, happen to be sitting in downtown seattle right now. i haven't seen a patrol car all day. i'd say the same for us, what about all the homeless people they've allowed on the roadways to walk around and just do crazy things and violence? i don't see them wearing masks are getting vaccinated. it's ridiculous. it's a control thing. a big opponent of this, as everybody knows, same thing. we tried religious exemptions, we tried everything legally we could possibly do. they even fired our senior chaplain, whose only job is to pray and help people, and they fired him. so it's not just a me thing, it's not just communal, a chaplain thing, a job site today to guys, electricians, union carpenters, everybody is pissed off and for the amount of turnout for something as small as i did, i guess i started a catalyst. i'm getting people of higher ranks -- military people that are forwarding this. state senators i'm hearing. >> laura: well, tonight the supreme court declined to hear a case involving a vaccine mandate challenge filed by maine health care workers. it's not a ruling on the merits, they just at this juncture, one justice, justice breyer, declined to hear the case, so as of now, no court release of people like you at the highest level at least for these vaccine mandates. where is this going to leave, in your interview, robert, police forces across the country, hospitals across the country, because they brag about "we have 96% compliance, we have 99% compliance" at southwest airlines says we are not going to do the mandate today. >> congratulations to them and there's a lot of fire services that aren't doing it too in the state of washington. pretty much all the sheriffs except for king county, because that person was appointed instead of elected, they are not for doing it either, so they are pretty frustrated in the state of washington, ensley is pretty forked off. my chief is pushing for this but it's really sad, we're losing a lot of officers but the question they're really not asking to these officers, the ones that are vaccinated, are they still leaving? and i can tell you those numbers are extreme. if the troopers that actually left today, the final number we got was 74 troopers. well, okay, when i actually talk to the people, there's a lot more that just retired. we have guys that just flat quit before they had to be fired, so there's another number, and in the hundreds of people that have been vaccinated just lost eight in the washington state patrol, so this is very systems, this is d.o.t. this goes on and on and on and it's ridiculous. >> laura: welcome of the last time i checked they weren't really worried about the vaccination status at the border when we had, you know, tens of thousands of people waved in in a two week. matt, so they don't see too concerned about that, robert. what's next for you? other than being a celebrity now, what's next for you? >> i'm overwhelmed, i really am. i'm a pretty private person, and my son is in the military and i'm like son, this is what's happening, he was all right, dad, i'm going black, so we're just trying to put our feet on the ground. we are very religious people and we prayed about all this when this first started. you know, "lord, what you want us to do and what's our path" and we've had applications out of state at all types of stuff, but lord never really pointed us to one point, so we said maybe this is the fight. then that came out and it went viral and i'm like okay, this is where you want us to be right now, so i'm the spokesperson for thousands -- i even say millions of people. i think there's 2 million people that have actually viewed it. it's been 99% positive from everybody. this is my path right now. there's a lot of job offers that i'm getting, phenomenal job offers. >> laura: sleeping giant. a sleeping giant, so hopefully -- we hope that's what's happened here. we've awakened it slowly but surely. robert, take you for joining us, we really appreciate your voice and best of luck to you. a telling piece was published in "the washington post" today and it's mixed with the left wants for the future of america. a lowered standard of living. get used to it. in romans, congressman jim jordan, mark green, reveal why this messaging is all about the 2022 midterms. stay there. this isn't just freight. these aren't just shipments. they're promises. promises of all shapes and sizes. each with a time and a place they've been promised to be. a promise is everything to old dominion, because it means everything to you. ♪ ♪ >> laura: supply chain blues getting you down, are they? "washington post" has a message for americans worried about sky-high gas prices and pesky shortages. just lower your expectations, people! mission remaindered rating american consumers might have been spoiled, but generations of them have also dealt with shortages of some kind. gas in the 70s, food rationing in the 40s, housing and they past be 20s when cities such as detroit were booming. it now it's our turn to make adjustments. what's going on here? it's not about helping you cope with the way things are now. it's about insulating president biden and the democrats ahead of the midterms but kind of changing the metrics that we used to used to measure success. joining us now, ohio cumbersome jim jordan intimacy cumbersome mark green. cumbersome and jordan, let's start with you, the left's policies don't work, so they have to do this, right, before the real results start pouring in next her, which are going to be abysmal. just everybody get used to a lower standard of living. what could be easier? >> well, laura, this is what bothers me, since when did americans lower their expectations? what if the wright brothers had low expectations? how about the hockey team in 1980, the u.s. hockey team, what if they said we are going to go to the owner picks we are just want to play pretty good, we are knuckling to play to win. this is where socialism always takes you. it takes you to mediocrity, it takes you to average in us and the arrogance that they talk about this, jen psaki yesterday saying oh, americans may have to wait before they get their treadmill on christmas. i mean, this is where the left goes and you're exactly right, it's going to show up next year and a big way when we take back the house because americans, we always dream big, we always go for big things, we don't settle for average next, we don't settle for mediocrity. maybe the biden demonstration does, but turn people -- a member, president trump was making america great again. joe biden is make america average again. that is so ridiculous. >> laura: i think you're right. they don't want to have to compare biden's record with trump's in 2019 before the pandemic. they're going to lose every time so they have to change the way it's measured. congressman greene, speaking about congressman jordan just mentioned, the white house's framing of this? apparently now the supply shortage is just all one big joke. >> it was crystal clear that things were not improving, people couldn't get dishwashers and furniture and treadmills delivered on time, not to mention all sorts of other things. >> secretary psaki: the tragedy of the treadmill that's delay. >> right, but the theories pointed why didn't the president act sooner in a more aggressively? >> that's not actually true, the president formed a task force at the very beginning of the administer ration. >> laura: congressman greene, he formed a task force. gosh, that lady in red really solved that problem for us by letting us know. >> well, thanks, laura, for having us on. even pete buttigieg -- secretary buttigieg was saying it's the success of the economy that has caused these supply chain problems. look, they are trying to jedi mind trick the american people, and it's not going to work. i've traveled all over the world as a military guy, i've seen third world countries, the shelves in our grocery stores are starting to look like third world countries, but honestly, i think it's bigger than 2022. i agree with you, they are trying to fool all of us and think these failures aren't real, but i think it's bigger than that. i think this is the utopia, the socialist utopia that the democrats want. they want to tell us that all of our systems have failed and therefore we need new systems, we need a socialist system, a capitalist system, if you're aoc. >> laura: your spot on there. and again, what also they going to say? and congressman jordan, i think this has them all really spooked though, because we learned tonight, the new quinnipiac poll that just came out, biden only has a 37% approval rating from the voters, 52% disapprove. i guess they don't like the jokes about the supply chains. no wonder the democrats want us to all live a lower standard of living! climate change, you know, it can't be the old days, truth, justice, and the american way, that's all of the window, just lower your expectations. this is a loser strategy, 37%, cumbersome end. >> it sure is, because the american people are smart, they have common sense and they get it. they know you get bad outcomes when you have bad policy. think about it, when you pay people not to work, you shouldn't be surprised when you can't find workers. when you defund the police, you shouldn't be surprised when climbed on my crime goes up, you just talked about the terrible situation going on in one of our once great cities, portland, oregon. this is what happens when you have stupid policies in place, which is exactly what this it administration and the democratic congress has done anti-american people see it for what it is. >> laura: now, "the washington post" is reporting tonight, congressman greene, i president biden told democrats during that private meeting today that he believes they could secure a deal on a new tax and spending proposal between 1.751.9 trillion that includes at least some expansion of medicare to offer new benefits to seniors, the introduction of universal prekindergarten -- oh, my god, -- billions of dollars to address climate change. congressman greene, what happened to old manchin, why it was thought would sallust on the river, 1.5 trillion, what happened to that? >> well, it sounds like they've -- hopefully joe biden is as wrong as he's been on everything else. and that there isn't a deal. i mean, that's what i'm praying for and that joe manchin will hold out. you know, he had been saying that he wasn't going to support anything that had, you know, basically government handouts without forcing people to work, but it looks like maybe he's changed his mind. i hope that's not the case. this president has just failed us, he spelled america. they can try everything they want to to hide it. >> laura: congressman jordan, you got 1.9 trillion in spending to universal pre-k? creating all this new government spending. and they are laughing about the supply chain shortage. this is all a big joke to them because they don't think this money is actual money, they think it's all free because you just tax x, y, and z and everybody else more for energy. so none of this matters to them, they don't care the people are going to suffer because of what they're doing. >> and they're going to raise taxes. spend like crazy, pay people not to work and for all the people who have been working, shazam, they are getting ready to raise your taxes. that's how crazy their plan is. this $5 trillion spending monstrosity they're trying to get through is only going to exacerbate the problem, drive up inflation more, reduce purchasing power and have more empty shelves. anyone with a brain can figure that out but unfortunately democrats can't. >> laura: congress men greene, i have to get to this because yesterday "the new york post" revealed that biden was secretly flying under aged migrants to new york in the dead of night in order to resettle them. and apparently this is happening across the country. jen psaki only knows one way to respond when asked. >> why is the administration flying thousands of migrants from the border to florida and new york in the middle of the night? >> secretary psaki: well, i'm not sure it's in the middle of the night, but let me tell you what's happening here. >> four, 29:00 a.m. very early in the morning. >> secretary psaki: where talk about early flights, earlier than you might like to take a flight. >> laura: oh, my god, the smirk on her face. how much she cares about -- it's not about her, it's about biden, obviously, but your reaction. >> laura, this issue actually started several months ago in chattanooga, tennessee, where we reported that in the very early morning hours, they flew people into chattanooga and knoxville and that prompted me to write a bill, and we actually have a bill that allows the states to approve any of these individuals that come into the state. there should be the state's decision, not the federal government forcing people. and there shouldn't be considered refugees. i mean, these people are migrants, they are illegal aliens, that's the correct term for them. they are not refugees. they are not flinging anything, so putting them under refugee resettlement rules is simply wrong, and so my bill also addresses that. >> laura: congressman jordan, one question. isn't that a tax on the american people? and everything that we have to spend money, isn't the resettlement of hundreds of thousands of people across the country, isn't that a tax? >> it sure is, it sure is in this government, this justice department wants to focus on parents showing up at school board meetings instead of the real issue that you just highlighted and congressman greene talked about. >> laura: all right, thank you, great to see both of your tonight and while the pentagon and our intelligence these turn their attention to domestic terrorists, but they think are from supporters, the chinese are posing a greater threat than they ever have. and moments, my second "angle" of the night is going to layout the stakes. there's software. and then there's industrial grade software, forged from decades of industrial experience and insights. meet honeywell forge. analytical software that connects assets and people to deliver a cybersecure record of your entire operation. so that everyone, in your boardroom and beyond, speaks the same language. honeywell forge. industrial grade software. >> laura: china's checkmate, that's the focus of tonight's second "angle." now, the angle has warned you time and time again that the politicization of our defense and intel agencies pose an unacceptable threat to our national security and unfortunately, we were proven right. by now you've heard those reports that sometime in august, china tested a nuclear capable hypersonic missile that was able to soar around the planet before heading for its target, and apparently, our intel agencies have been so busy targeting trump supporter's as domestic terrorists and filming woke recruiting videos, they were blindsided by this, which "the wall street journal" called alarming. the intelligence community is made up of some 18 organizations that receive $85.8 billion in 2020. congress should investigate what we are paying for what we are getting. well, not really a need for an investigation there. the answer is obvious, we are getting gyped. most concerning is the financial times noted, a vehicle armed with a nuclear warhead could help china negate u.s. missile defense systems which are designed to destroy incoming ballistic missiles. perhaps more shocking, if that's possible, was the white house's blase response. >> can you confirm reports that china has [indiscernible]. are they accurate and do they raise concerns about china's nuclear capabilities? >> secretary psaki: we have been consistent in our approach with china, we welcome stiff competition, but we do not want that competition to veer into conflict. >> laura: is she kidding me? stiff competition? this isn't high school science fair. once again we just see that the biden team worries more about the republican threat than it does about the threat posed by the ccp. but she is right about one thing. the biden administration's handling of the china threat has been consistent, all right. insistently horrible. they go out of the way to make excuses for china like that dim light bulb currently running our department of energy. they actually ran interference yesterday for china on carbon dioxide emissions. >> we got a global problem and china is a big contributor to that. we are too, but we don't have much moral authority to say you should be doing this if you're not taking action and applying the technology that we need. >> laura: she is one who has no moral authority or facts. the truth is the u.s. has led the world and cutting co2 emissions through fracking natural gas. all the while becoming -- at least we were becoming under trump -- energy independent. but as bad as she is, climate czar john kerry is even worse. we just learned that carrie and his wife have a million dollars invested in a chinese fund that owns shares of a chinese tech company that developed the facial recognition software that's used by the ccp in the repression of the uighur muslims. if biden had any shred of integrity, it show both of them the door. of course not going to do that, no. news of china's greatly forward and missile technology and the biden demonstration's muted reaction to all of this should be a massive wake-up call for everyone in washington, especially the republicans and moderate dems who profess to take the china threat seriously. they have to recognize the following. number one, the pentagon and intel community under the current leadership is totally unprepared to take on china. if we do not make a change, any military engagement between the ccp in the united states is going to end very poorly for our side. number two, we cannot count on support from the e.u. in the event of a military conflict against china. europe is just too dependent on the ccp to risk angering president xi and frankly the europeans seat china's star rising and are stating. at number three. biden will do nothing to follow .1 and .2 because neither he nor his team see china as a threat at all. possibly, possibly because of financial conflicts. remember, hunter biden still has investments in china, if you can believe it. given these facts, so long as we are hampered by biden and our current military and intel leadership, china must be regarded as the dominant power in asia and the most powerful country in the world. china clearly realizes that, they get it, and is aggressively moving to make ever more brazen shows of force against us and our closest allies. over the last 19 days, chinese military aircraft have breached taiwanese airspace 159 times. among those aircraft were nuclear-capable bombers and anti-sub warplanes, but as china ramped up its intimidation campaign, biden's response was typically less than encouraging. >> president biden: i've spoken with him about taiwan. we agree we will abide by the time the taiwan agreement, that's who we are. >> laura: no, this is where we are. on monday, a group of chinese and russian naval vessels sailed through a straight separating japan's main island and its northern island of hokkaido. he brought the world together against us. maybe it's time that general milley and secretary austin quit worrying about white rage and focus on countering this rising red menace. the stakes are higher now than they've ever been. it's no longer question of how we contain china or win another cold war. our very existence as a free and independent nation is at stake, and that's "the angle. what's it like being the only conservative on the radically left-wing loudoun county scoreboard in virginia? john has held that role for two years. he's here exclusively in moments on what goes on behind those closed doors. stay there. ♪ ♪ >> laura: now, we all know now that the loudoun county school board in virginia is perhaps one of the worst, most radical in the united states. not only have they try to brainwash kids with this hideous divisive racial narrative, they've attempted to cover up sexual assaults in order to protect their -- i guess it's a trans agenda, i don't know what kind of agenda they have, but it's hard to believe there's a single reasonable person among them, but there is one, and he joins us now. here with me as john beatty, the loan conservative member of the loudoun county school board. john, if you can come and take us behind the scenes of what it's like to the extent that you have in person meetings now. what the heck is going on there? america wants to know. >> well, thank you for having me. as you know it's been a crazy past couple of years and i think the most important part is i'm just grateful to be part of this. i'm grateful to be a voice for the parents for standing up for them for all the things that are going on. you know, they need a voice. many parents in the county think the school board doesn't listen to them, they come to public comment and they speak and they think that the school board is listening, but i'm there listening to them, reading their emails, making sure that their voice is heard when we have deliberations, when we have events come up. it's -- >> laura: when you say voices heard -- when you say voices heard, that sounds like political speak. what does that mean, voices heard? don't they want their kids taught? they don't want this garbage taught in the schools. they want the kids taught the basics, correct? they don't want politics. >> yes. yeah, they don't want politics. unfortunately that's in there, that's what this equity committee, this critical race theory ideology, all the teaching plans, you know, they encourage teachers to read "how to be an antiracist" and he's a abig proponent of critical race theory. they encourage teachers to use the learning for justice teaching materials. >> laura: that's the worst. >> unfortunately it's in all the materials. >> laura: didn't the naacp -- did they get you kicked off that diversity committee? is that what happened to mike whatever the heck it's called. why? >> they sent emails, pressure the school board chair, it's because i don't agree with this critical race theory ideology. i wanted to be on the committee to understand why they were pushing explicit material, why there was such a strong support for that on this committee, but it's part of this idea -- this critical theories that come out, gender theories, ideas that we have to teach these awful ideas to parents. >> laura: meanwhile, the kids can write and they've fallen behind on reading, advanced math classes, you know, the proposals to get them cut back. so it's like lowering the bar for everybody and propagandizing 24/7. that's what they want. that's why they want the universal pre-k, get them earlier, right? john, get them earlier. i'm sorry to interrupt, i want to show you this, i'm talking over you and i apologize. there was a raucous rally tonight, a glenn youngkin rally, gubernatorial candidate. he called for accountability over loudoun county for the attempted cover up of those assaults. watch. >> today i am calling for an immediate investigation into the loudoun county school board for their gross negligence. virginia's attorney general mark herring should be investigating those responsible. >> laura: john, i'm not going to hold my breath for an investigation into your school board, but should it occur? >> absolutely. what happened is so awful and i feel so bad for the parents of both families that are victims of this, and it's incredible important that we have a full investigation into everything that happened, we get to the bottom of who didn't communicate what, and we find out where the communication breakdowns were so that this never happens, because parents need to worry about their kids getting an education, and not the safety of them in their schools. >> laura: the loudoun county superintendent, i know you know him, scott ziegler, admitted that the schools weren't properly reporting the sexual assaults for years, but then they also try to pass the buck. >> moving forward, it is essential that we are consistent in our practices across the county. we are taking positive steps in the direction. this lack of oversight that existed prior to my tenure also contributed to errors in our state reporting regarding disciplinary incidences in the school. >> laura: mailing mouse nonsense. does that somehow absolve him of what happened under his watch? >> no. i mean, it's the school boards was once ability to manage the superintendent so it's our responsibility in this case, so we have to do a better job, and that's what having an investigation where we look at all the facts, find out whether breakdowns were, think that's the only way we can get justice for the parents of these horrible crimes. >> laura: really quick, what's your message to parents across the country who are sick to their stomachs as to what's happening in their public school system? your message to them, get involved, presumably, run for school board, don't be afraid? >> yeah. find out what's happening in your schools and what's happening in loudoun county is happening all over the country. that's why i'm running for congress, because these local issues are happening nationally and you can find out more about my positions at my website, but they need to look and use requests, they need to go to school board meetings, get involved, and show their local school boards that they care about their kids' education and they're going to make sure that their kids get the best education no matter what bureaucrats and what rules are made to prevent that. >> laura: thank you for sharing the story tonight, everybody has got to wake up. otherwise you're going to lose your country. biden's hhs makes history. the last bite showcases it. this isn't just freight. these aren't just shipments. they're promises. big promises. small promises. cuddly shaped promises. each with a time and a place they've been promised to be. and the people of old dominion never turn away a promise. or over promise. or make an empty promise. we keep them. a promise is everything to old dominion, because it means everything to you. >> laura: today, the hhs swearing in of the first four-star admiral of the u.s. public health service. biological mail, rachel levine. >> i will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which i'm about to enter. >> help me god. >> salmon god. >> welcome. would you like to say a few words? >> i would. thank you very much for entrusting me with this role. spew to the face covering was on and then the admiral took it off. they're all vaccinated ♪ ♪ [applause] >> greg: happy glorious tuesday, everyone. tuesday, the most overlooked day of the week. it's the jan brady of days. not close enough to friday to make you think about weekend plans unless you are kat. but it's close enough to last saturday that kat is still throwing
