he said i can't even give you a ballpark. ainsley: he stalled and stalled. steve: look, i'm working 18 hours a day to control this and don't call it a flood. but, yesterday, finally, you know, we did get some clarity. we thought there could be 15,000 people under the written over the last week or so. turns out probably closer to 17,000. will: wouldn't put exact number on how many of those 17,000 have been released into the united states. but, again, to your point, steve, he gave us a ballpark. watch. chris: 17,400 that weren't deported back or didn't return on their own to mexico. how many of them either -- well, first, have been released into the u.s.? >> they are released on conditions. chris: yes. >> approximately, i think, are about 10,000 or so, 12,000. chris: have been released. >> yes it could be even higher. the number that return could be higher. chris: the statistics of your own department show that the flood of people coming i will lyle across the border has gotten worse under the biden administration. >> so i wouldn't call it a flood, chris, if i may. chris: what do you call it. >> we are certainry seeing a large number here in this year but in 2019 we saw a large number, in 2014, in 2010. this is nothing new. steve: what we have figured out and apparently over the last week or so there have been up to 17,000, it could have been 20,000. who knows. ainsley: they were saying 30,000 at the beginning of september at one point. steve: unbelievable. the only number we know for sure is that 100 were deported because they were flown back to haiti. 1400 out of, what? 15, 16, 17,000 in the reason the administration last week would not tell us the number is because half the country would like to see more people deported. the other half of the country would like to see no people deported. that's why they didn't answer. then it became flood sorry secretary mayorkas. it became a flood. people had to know. they cleared that place out because there was a black lives matter protest i believe later today. they didn't want any of those structures, temporary houses and whatnot showing in public. ainsley: we keep hearing if they're released in the u.s. are they going to show up for court appearances chris asked about that. 44% released don't show up four court appearance. he says if that's the case they don't show up they will be removed. if you ask tom homan and other critics that have been on the border and work this. he says that is all a lie. how are they going to find these people if they're not showing up and released how do you track them down? he said could be, might be 10. possibly 12. could be higher. when you saw that bidenville camp underneath that bridge, was it your estimation, was it your expectation they would be released into the united states? when that camp went away, what did you think? where did you think all those migrants would end up? steve: well, and you know, will, the administration was very careful and they started showing us pictures of the people being deported because for a lot of the people they wanted, you know, obviously they were coming into the country illegally. people wanted them tee ported. other people didn't want anybody deported. over the last week, it's become so much more complicated because then you have the images of the border patrol agents on the horses, and they were simply trying to use their horses to block people from running in the united states of america. and then, you know, the political left, including the president said, you know, they were strapping those people. they were whipping those people. the photographer who took those images said that was not the case. they were simply, you know, they have got very long reins to maneuver the horses. it's become part of the dialogue. and that's why so many people are interested in what is going on down south. joe biden has made it -- he said look, you know, those people have going to be held accountable, now, greg abbott, the governor of your home state of texas made it very clear, anything happened to those police officers, those border patrol agents on horseback if is he going to take care of them. watch this. >> the person who took those pictures said that characterization that the democrats have made about the border patrol using them as whipping people coming across the border is false. they were simply maneuvering horses. look, the president said going after the border patrol who were risking their lives and working so hard to try to secure the border, if he takes any action against them whatsoever, i have worked side by side with those border patrol agents, i want them to know something. if they're at risk of losing their job, got a president who is abandoning his duty to secure the border. you have a job in the state of texas. i will hire you to help texas secure our border. ainsley: you know, if joe biden would just secure the border. these border agents wouldn't be in this situation. we wouldn't be dealing with it chris are asked mayorkas why. building a wail is something we don't agree with that is a proud tradition. george p. bush land commissioner now he went down to the border over the weekend and he saw what was hang. he was lashing out at the biden administration saying those pictures, the horses and trying to say that they were whipping. the photographer said that never happened. he said this is a false outrage, misinterpreted photo and biden has stripped another tool from our men and women trying to protect this country. will: so many lies were told about that photo. so many falsehoods. some broad generalizations that had nothing to do with what was actually happening in that photo there was one bit of truth you could take away from that photo. if those border patrol agent know how to wear a cowboy had. they had it shaped just right. look good in a cowboy hat. does lawrence jones because is he live at the state fair of texas right now where my suspicion is somewhere, somewhere maybe in your left or right hand those hands you are so proud of, and the size of those hands as you laid out this past weekend on "fox & friends weekend." don't you have your silver belly cowboy hat somewhere there. lawrence: it is. but, you know this, will. grease gets hot, 'bursts up. i don't need to daniel my hat. will: where are you over a fryer? the first shot today they get fired. 94,000 here in new york state. it was supposed to apply to the teachers as well, but they have filed a lawsuit against the mandate in the state and now it's being appealed and being considered by a three-judge panel, so it's kind of like okay , all of those healthcare workers are going to get fired but the teachers, perhaps, have delayed until who knows when the inevitable. >> but the state obviously wants everybody to get vaccinated. i'm not a huge fan of teacher's unions. love teachers, not a fan of the unions i'm a school choice guy but good for them. their members said listen, we want sovereignty over our own bodies. we want to be able to make this decision for ourself properly informed. they're teachers, steve, literally teachers. i think they are smart enough to read the science maybe some have been infected maybe some have had a bad experience with a vaccine. i no one who reached out to me on a dm, a radio listener that said i'm pregnant. i'm not sure it's right for me right now. she's just reading and says i want to wait a little while so good for the teacher's unions but yeah this hospital thing is going to blow up huge. can you imagine once emergency rooms start piling up because they can't find people how bad this is? this was so poorly thought out even for a democrat. ainsley: the w. h. o. is thinking about reviesing the investigation into the origins because they've stalled it and we're running out of time. >> yeah, the investigation, is that hilarious they are doing an investigation guys. listen i've been reporting on this on my fox show, podcast, radio show everything. there is this double cgg code on in this , you could just look it up folks. you don't have to take my word but in double cgg, it's a code on this virus, never seen it anywhere in nature, okay? doesn't mean it can't exist in nature. will: it's part of the dna. >> its never been seen ever in nature but it's in the coronavirus. now the strange part about this is who puts the double cgg code on people doing research and to viruses to make it more contagious and how much, one more thing. do you know there was a chinese pla vaccine researcher, and again, everybody can look it up themselves. the vaccine researcher who was working on a vaccine for coronavirus, who mysterious ly, right after they figured out it was human-to- human transmission just turns up dead and nobody seems to know, look it up yourself it's not a conspiracy theory so if you were trying to create a virus to use in a lab you'd want a vaccine first. steve: at the same time. >> but the guy that might know that mysteriously works for the chinese military and is now dead but don't worry, an investigation is happening in russia the w. h. o. will get to the bottom of it. will: i'm sure. steve: since you are a broadcast professional would you like to do your own plug right here? >> there's a plug? catch dan, that's me. i'll be broadcasting from here by the way 12-3:00 p.m. live on fox nation, radio stations, thank you, me, it says thank you , dan bongino, thank you, to me, see you all and i'm on the 5 today all week. i take no responsibility for what's going to happen during the show this week if geraldo is there. just kidding! kidding. don't worry about it. thanks for having me. ainsley: 8:47 on the east coast let's check in with our meteorologist senior meteorologist janice dean for our fox weather forecast. >> good morning and say hi to my friends from memphis here, hello, nice to see you let's take a look at the maps it's a beautiful day to visit in new york city, 63 in new york, 62 cleveland we'll get up close to 80 today ahead of a cold front that's coming through so we have a couple of cold fronts that's that time of the year and then the southwest we also have an area of low pressure that's bringing the potential for heavier downpours that front is going to push into the texas region and louisiana areas that don't really need to see anymore rainfall so we'll keep an eye on that. otherwise, it does feel like summertime is going to hang across the central u.s. , parts of the northern plains and the upper midwest and then that is going to come through this weekend feeling more fall- like. all right, will, and ainsley, and steve, my friends back to you. will: thank you, janice. ainsley: thank you. it is nice. hi! the weather here is so nice. fall is beautiful in new york. isn't it fun? steve: today, meanwhile we saw hot and rainy later this week down in texas and they say everything is bigger in texas and that's where we find lawrence jones at the state fair , he's going to bring us a firsthand look as the fair makes a comeback with a goat. will: first let's check in with bill himmer and dana perino. bill: we think he chose a pretty good hat. dana: it's a good hat. steve: brand new. dana: you knew that steve was going to know that was a goat. ainsley: i know, right? dana: he grew up in kansas. he knows his livestock. ainsley: we know you would know a good hat, dana. bill: nice to see you guys today. dana: we have kevin mccarthy, the republican leader in the house a huge week in congress we'll figure out how he is watching the democrats nearly implode. bill: and what will the moderates do remember no deal, we'll ask about that. we found doosies in these too. dana: we'll also have mark thi esen's to the border mess and nancy grace on the murder mystery where gabby petito goes next. bill: see you at the top of the hour. and there you have it- woah. wireless on the most reliable network nationwide. wow. -big deal! ...we get unlimited for just 30 bucks. sweet, i get that too and mine has 5g included. that's cool, but ours save us serious clam-aroonies. relax people, my wireless is crushing it. that's because you all have xfinity mobile with your internet. it's wireless so good, it keeps one upping itself. and there you have it- woah. wireless on the most reliable network nationwide. wow. -big deal! ...we get unlimited for just 30 bucks. sweet, i get that too and mine has 5g included. that's cool, but ours save us serious clam-aroonies. relax people, my wireless is crushing it. that's because you all have xfinity mobile with your internet. it's wireless so good, it keeps one upping itself. ainsley: let's head back down to the lone star state where lawrence jones joins us from the state fair of texas. they stalled it for a year because of covid, right or shut it down? reporter: that's right. they shut it down, but it is back, and the people here, i'm with darren whose the senior vice president of ag and livestock at the state fair of texas. how are the kids because they are the ones that are putting in the hard work getting these animals nice and healthy to show to the folks. >> the kids are excited and so happy that the fair is back, that we're all back here coming together, that they can compete and showcase all of their hard work, and they're really excited about this coming friday and the youth livestock auction where we get to sell these things for premium prices. reporter: so they put in all this hard work, sell these animals, and that money goes to scholarships right? >> yes, sir so it all goes back into their education and so hopefully on friday, we'll raise somewhere north of $1.5 million, for about 435 kids that are competing this week, at the state fair of texas. reporter: and they use that for their education so tell me this is a champion right here? >> this is a grand champion market lamb, it was shown by a young man and the really neat thing is they do work hard because his sister won it last year. reporter: wow does that happen all the time? >> in my tenure, its never happened and i bet if you go back in the 135 years of history at the fair, i bet you its never happened back to back brother and sister. reporter: that's good blood. so talk about the premium price that are on these animals. why do they pay that premium? >> so the businesses and all the donors that come around are supporting kids, of course we're a 501c 3 and our mission is supporting agriculture and education so it's a really great way to bring folks in the community together to support kids and send these kids off to school and make them better citizens. reporter: it's beautiful. thank you for all you do the kids are happy to be back. i can't wait to see these animal s its been a pleasure to be back in my hometown of dallas , and i'm going to send it back to you guys in new york city. will: you're doing a great job. steve: great coverage. and you got a hat out of the deal. ainsley: i know. and that face on the trash can behind him, i said what is that and he said that's big tech. will: more "fox & friends" moments away. >> ♪ it was a easy decision -- clearchoice.
