are looking for the boyfriend, a federal arrest warrant just been issued in just the past few minutes. we have phil keating in florida following this story with the very latest. phil? breaking news. >> absolutely breaking news. this is happening out of wyoming where the 23-year-old fiancee gabby petino's body was found on sunday. so the federal arrest warrant issued for her former fiancee brian laundrie is pursuant to a federal grand jury that's been looking into his activities before and after her death believed in late august. but, to get brian laundrie in handcuffs and arrested, they first need to find him and find him alive despite grueling searching by air, foot, atvs and big swamp buggies, still no person of interest brian laundrie nor his backpack. just that his mom's car was left at the trail head in the carlton reserve nine days ago where she says he went for a hike. it's extremely rugged, much under water and full of alligators, snakes and bugs. and florida back country goes on and on for dozens and dozens of miles. the larger river state park extends this area even further north. if you are hiking each and every day, you could be, by now, long gone from the carlton reserve. local outdoors men say theoretically one could survive in here for days with proper back country skills. most importantly a water filter device to tap into the standing water. the search commander said today new people from additional agencies have now joined the search. >> how does that help? it's tremendous. this is a tremendous mass of land. the more people, the more effective we are. >> law enforcement investigators want to talk with laundrie about the death of his fiancee, gabby petino. the 22-year-old's body was found sunday at the bridger teton national forest in wyoming. it's been ruled a homicide. her stepfather built this cross out of stones to mark the spot and her memory. funeral plans in new york are still influx, depending on when gabby's remains are returned. and back at the laundrie family home this morning, the laundrie's ford mustang which the mother says her son drove for that hike. after combing it for evidence, north port police returned the car today. in front of their house neither parent said a word to shouted questions. and according to the "new york post" today, according to a former co-worker of laundrie's. he was very well versed and surviving out in the woods saying one time he bragged about spending six weeks by himself out in the wild surviving only on cheese and peanut butter crackers. we will find out in a few minutes whether this search will resume for day 6 tomorrow. bret? >> bret: okay. we will bring you that here phil keating in florida. thanks. meantime, another high profile hit for president biden's border policy, his special envoy to haiti has publicly resigned in protest over what he calls the inhumane and counter productive large scale exputtings of haitian immigrants from the makeshift encampment in southern texas. president biden is getting hit really from the right and the left on immigration policy. this comes as the biden administration continues to react to images of border agents on horseback trying to keep illegal immigrants out of the country. today telling border patrol agents to no longer use horses to patrol the border there, while refusing to say how many of those migrants are being let in to the country. correspondent bill melugin is in del rio, texas, where he has been. good evening, bill. >> bret, good evening to you. that's exactly right. the biden administration still has not given a clear or direct answer as to how many haitian migrants from this camp they have openly released into the united states. though, that number is reportedly in the thousands. this as this camp behind us continues to shrink by the hour. heavy machinery begins to process of tearing down the migrant camp underneath the international camp in del rio. this as the federal government continues to clear it as fast as possible. as of thursday evening, the camp's population was down to roughly 3,000. a significant decrease from a climax of nearly 15,000. dhs confirming to fox news that as of yesterday, just over 1400 migrants from the camp had been deported back to haiti and just over 3200 others have been sent to other sectors or let go with future court dates. border patrol sources telling us they are releasing almost all family units and any women who claim to be pregnant. >> joe biden and kamala harris both raised their hand in the first debate and said they would offer free healthcare to people that illegally cross the border. they need to correct their messaging right away white house confirms the border agents are banned from using can mount the agents. based on claims mounted agents seen whipping migrants. that mounted unit is reassigned pending dhs investigation. >> this agent has now been put looking at losing his jobs because the democrats are saying is he whipping a black man. the reverend al sharpton arrived and toured the situation at the bridge. >> we will stand with our people. >> hatred. get out of texas. >> but his presence was not welcomed by protesters who drowned him out while he tried to have a press conference. >> we are here to support our border patrol agents. we have their back. when they said that that border agent was whipping that haitian, that's a lie. >> and, bret, the federal government has really started moving at lightning speed this afternoon to get this camp completely cleared out between our camera on the ground and our drone in the air. you can see what they have done here in the last few hours. they have basically bulldozed down every single one of the structures that the migrants have built here. most of the migrants have been completely cleared from the area where we are standing. they are now huddled under the bridge about 300 yards away from us. speaking of the bridge, that port of entry, it remains closed tonight because of the situation; however, the del rio mayor tells me is hoping to have it reopened by monday. send it back to you. >> bret: bill melugin in del rio, texas. thank you. let's take a closer look how the biden administration is handling the renewed focus on the biden administration. here is white house correspondent peter doocy. >> a rare admission from this white house. they know the headlines are bad. >> we're in the middle of navigating and weathering storms and dealing with crises that's what a president should do. >> u.s. envoy for haiti wants out. daniel foot resigned with this letter. i will not be associated with the united states inhumane counter productive decision to deport how sands of haitian refugees and immigrants to haiti a country american officials are confined to secure compounds because of the danger posed by armed gangs to daily life. the white house is pushing back. >> first i would note there have been multiple senior level policy conversations on haiti. where all proposals, including those led by special envoy footee were fully considered. some of those were considered harmful to the commitment of promotion of democracy in haiti. >> progressives are still upset rounded bye bye border patrol officers patrols that have since been suspended. >> what we witnessed was worse than what we witnessed in slavery. >> the white house is hoping to cool criticism. >> i think congresswoman waters and others as are we have been horrified by the photos of the border patrol officers and that behavior. >> income from the left is uncommon for this president. >> president biden getting attacked from both sides of the aisle is because he can't get a handle on this situation. >> to clear the camp in del rio, the feds are busing migrants to parts of texas or flying them to arizona. and unless they show symptoms, no covid test. >> why should somebody, say, in laredo or el paso or tucson, arizona have to have their chance of catching covid go up because hundreds of miles away there is an open border. >> well, there certainly is not an open border. >> there is according to some texas lawmakers. >> most of these haitians are from brazil. they got word of the fact with the biden administration we have an open border policy come on in. >> that's exactly what biden said two years ago. >> we are a immigration says if you want to flee and you are fleeing oppression you should come. >> when the president said that, progressives cheered. but now the people are actually coming, progressives are telling him you've got to treat these migrants better. and president biden is saying nothing. no public events on the schedule today. brian? >> brian: peter doocy live on the north lawn. peter, thank you. another strong day matters on these massive bills. the details. the announcement comes as democrats desperately try to get some resolution to the approaching federal debt ceiling and the possibility of a government shutdown. there was a resolution today to another difficult political issue though. congressional correspondent chad pergram tells us where things stand tonight from a very busy capitol hill. good evening, chad. >> good evening, bret. democrat divides over israel forced leaders to yank iron dome money out of a bill to avoid a government shut down earlier this week. otherwise the bill would have failed. the canyon between democrats over israel erupted into a brouhaha between members of the same party. >> we cannot be talking only about israeli's need for safety at a time when palestinians are living under a violent apartheid system. i firmly believe our country must oppose selling weapons to anyone, anywhere without human rights law compliance. >> other democrats who support israel lashed then sit with dems and republicans alike and let's figure out what can we do to maybe reinstate some of the things that worked under president trump and get rid of the things that didn't. >> bret: you said build a wall. >> i would -- the wall would be a part of a package that i would -- that i would offer to republicans as we try to build some kind of meaningful long-term solution, sustainable america. we don't know who they're. we don't know whether he they're carrying covid. we don't know whether terrorists are mixed in with them. even if they are just decent haitian people, this is not the way to run a policy. with all due respect for jonah, we did have a solution to this. at least part of a solution and that was stay in mexico policy. remain in mexico policy. we had a lot better >> yeah. look, we were watching biden's numbers hemorrhage. we are seeing part of the problem that biden has is he has no super loyalists. he has no one crawl over glass for him the way they would for obama and donald trump. the base of the democratic party wants to exact its concessions, it pound of flesh. moderates are not going to leap to his defense and republicans certainly aren't either. is
