>> good morning. we're outside the teton county coroner's office where the autopsy of gabby petito was performed yesterday giving the official confirmation about the remains found in grand teton national park sunday. there are still many questions that need to be answered in this case. how, when and where was she killed some of the main ones. the forensic examination has taken place and f.b.i. thanked all agencies and personnel who assisted in the search, recovery and identification efforts adding the f.b.i. and partners remain dedicated to insuring anyone responsible for or complicit in her death is held accountable for their actions. forensic pathologist telling fox what more investigators will be looking at with the evidence collected so far. >> in this situation since they lived together and so much time together or hairs or dna from the boy from her clothing wouldn't tell you who done it. the only thing that would come up with a dna if it were a third person. >> we have new drone video from a fox flight team of the area where gabby petito was found. the f.b.i. saying they're seeking information from anyone who utilized this area in the spread creek campgrounds in late august to contact them. the family attorney saying they continue to ask for time for the family to grieve while they make arrangements to bring gabby home to long island and the family is planning on making a statement once they're all back together again in long island, new york. and the f.b.i. still looking for information. those tips have proven to be so critical in the case. hoping to get more. >> dana: now for the latest on the search for brian landry we go to north port, florida and jonathan serrie is standing by. >> good morning. police plan to resume the search in the carlton reserve this morning. brian's parents and investigators told them their son had driven his mother's car to the nature park and they retrieved it last week before reporting him missing. 60 law enforcement officers are involved in the search of the 25,000 acre preserve. >> terrain is very difficult. essentially 75% of it is under water and other areas that are dry we're trying to clear. >> brian's parents continue to stay in their north port home. his father left briefly yesterday to pick up a jug of milk. police believe brian returned alone to his parents' home september 1st, 10 days before his girlfriend was reported missing. then he left on the 14th. during the nearly two weeks brian was home, neighbor charlene guthrie says he mowed the lawnened he and his mother went for a bicycle ride around a block. it seemed like nothing bothered him. gabby petito's body was found sunday in the spread creek canyon area near grand teton national park in wyoming. a user tipped off the f.b.i. to the location after realizing she had spotted their person of interest. >> so i saw brian laundrie parking his van august 26th. i reported to the f.b.i. what i had seen. so -- i wasn't 100% sure. now with dash kam footage of the van where i saw it, it was 100% certain it was just him, no gabby. >> residents have been leaving ribbons in city hall as a growing memorial to gabby. she had only lived in this area briefly. residents are adopting her as their own and grieving with her family. let's send it to trace now. >> trace: jonathan serrie live in florida. >> dana: joining me now is mary ellen o'toole, director of forensic science at george mason university and formerly with the f.b.i. yesterday the coroner said it was a homicide but didn't specify a cause of death. when would we expect to know that? >> i would expect in the next couple of days that information will come out. it is critical because the cause of death which could be strangulation, gunshot wound, blunt force trauma becomes enforcement. investigate force probably know the information and probably looking for a weapon if it is something like strangulation or something else. investigators probably know. the public will probably know in several days. >> dana: given it was a homicide and her body was found there. doesn't seem like they tried to bury or conceal the body. we don't know that specifically. would that tell you the state of mind of whoever killed her? >> many factors at a homicide scene become important and you have to take them together. three ways behaviorally dispose of a body. you dump a body. kill the person in one location and leave them there. the second thing is to bury or attempt to bury and conceal a body and third way is to pose or stage a body. in this case it's one or two, there may have been an effort to concealed and it will come up. including putting brush over the person. trying to put rocks or dirt over the person or the person was just left there. so it is either one or two. >> dana: at this point brian laundrie, fiance, is still considered a person of interest. at what point does he become a suspect if he does? >> i think the term person of interest has debated and in my experience it is a matter of semantics. in the eyes of law enforcement right now, you can call him a person of interest or suspect. they are looking at him as a possible suspect and a strock suspect. >> dana: the other day the police in north port said they were calling off the search in that reserve. later that day the parents were questioned in the van outside of the home while the f.b.i. was inside. then for the last two days they've gone back to searching in the reserve. is it possible that the parents' story of him going to the reserve checked out and why they decided to look again? >> that's possible. they're looking at other things as well. during the search they were retrieving information that might give them ideas where he could be right now. they would question certainly the parents to see did the parents inadvertently or purposely mislead investigators? they want to confirm their efforts out there in the 25,000 acre reservoir are really worth it or in fact he might have actually said one thing but gone to another location. so they're trying to corroborate that so they aren't wasting man-hours searching for him. >> dana: do you know if the f.b.i. or law enforcement had a travel alert on brian laundrie once gabby petito was named missing? >> i don't know that. it would make sense but i'm not aware of that. >> dana: we'll continue to follow this story and talk to you mary ellen o'toole, thank you. >> thank you. >> trace: meantime president biden calling for global cooperation at the united nations yesterday but push for unity could be a hard sell coming after the afghanistan withdrawal debacle and diplomatic crisis with america's oldest ally. jackie heinrich at the white house this morning. >> good morning. president biden went into the speech went off a new partnership between the u.s., u.k. and australia that upset france so much they recalled their ambassadors. all that in the name of countering china and despite that president biden didn't mention china once in his u.n. speech except to suggest any pressure from the u.n. secretary general to say he does not want to start a new cold war after the u.n. secretary general said biden and china better clean things up. >> he slapped a giant kicked me sign on uncle sam's back. he bent over backwards to appease the chinese communist party said we don't seek a new cold war. >> instead the president focused on covid and climate change and america not at war focusing on rerentless dip -- diplomacy. there was a strike in afghanistan that killed citizens. >> president biden: today we're better equipped to prevent activity threats and ability to repel and respond. >> at the oval office prime minister boris johnson sitting with president biden got a taste of what it's like to cover this white house. >> that's the -- boris was completely stunned with the new culture in america. supposed to be the leaders of the free world, the president doesn't take questions. >> the president did answer one shouted question yesterday on the influx of migrants at the border saying we'll get it under control about as substantive as the last time he took questions a week ago when he said he is confident in the chairman of the joint chiefs, trace. >> trace: jackie, thank you. dana, the white house press corps, you've dealt with them, they were furious that he was actually -- biden was answering questions from the british press corps and not from the american press corps. >> dana: when you have the two leaders of the free world who have just left the united nations talking about the importance of human rights, freedom and democracy, freedom of the press is very much part of that and accountability to the citizens. one of the things that the leaders of the free world should want to do is to be able to show other leaders that you are accountable to your citizens through the press and the fact that they did not do that yesterday is a disturbance to american citizens but sent a wrong message. boris johnson was game but biden not. trace, why are these two vaccinated people sitting in the oval office with masks on? that's sending a bad message. they want people to get vaccinated and it gives you freedom. >> trace: i was about to say the same thing. why are they wearing masks sitting away from each other? we don't know. >> dana: somebody will complain to a second and maybe we'll find out. i would love to hear that explanation. thanks. it is round two on the hill for america's top national security officials. they're testifying before a senate panel on threats to the homeland. yesterday wray expressed concerned about the taliban takeover of afghanistan and the potential for terrorists to carry out attacks. we'll monitor the hearing. we're awaiting new cdc guidance on booster shot after the fda rejected to approve them to most americans. we'll speak to scott gottlieb. >> trace: major media outlet confirming part of the hunter biden story that was suppressed by big tech. what's prompting the about face? >> i have agree. the "wall street journal" got that right. iron dome is purely a defensive missile system. it is intended to just shoot down incoming missiles. and we have as a country been very united, democrats and republicans, in supporting this and pushing this with israel. today's democratic party is not the same democratic party. they can't even push this through. it's a terrible embarrassment. there are other funding mechanisms. this promotes peace. that's what it does. without iron dome the israelis will go right into the gaza strip and take out that threat. with iron dome it is defensive. >> trace: iron dome will repel 80 to 90% of the rockets and missiles coming in. ted cruz was talking about the democratic support. if any dems do they have the courage to oppose this? a democrat tweeted to target iron dome means the issue isn't a genuine concern over the system but the desire to attack something, anything related to the state of israel. it's devoid of substance and irresponsible so at least you have one democrat coming out and saying it is nonsensical. >> it shows how thin the majority is there for nancy pelosi and steny hoyer. they are beholding to the squad. the squad stays united. they hate israel. and they are going to do everything they can to offer no support to israel and it is a shame because we as i think as a country are very supportive of our best friend in the middle east, the one democracy that's actually there. >> trace: i just want to switch gears here. how can you explain that? >> i don't think the white house got ahead of themselves. they had to back into some kind of deadline. they didn't need to put out a date but approximate time frame when boosters would be available. you have to put in place logistics to deliver them if you do it in nursing homes. it could take weeks to get that in place. there is clear evidence the boosters can benefit some portion of the population. debate within the fda and cdc today will be what population can benefit the most from boosters. if you look at the data coming out of israel collecting good data seems to show people above the age of 60 vaccinated a long interval ago benefit from boosters with reduction in infection and cases of severe infection. there is a population for whom these shots could benefit. >> dana: what about side effects from a third shot, a booster shot?
