when you see numbers like that, that affect every american in some capacity. todd: it may not impact you as much but it literally impacts everybody including everybody who votes. that is what the poll means for iowa, the nation. we will unpack it with ashley who will join us later on in the show to weigh in on all of this. jillian: fascinating to see these poll numbers, all of them like that. let's look at capitol hill as the house passes legislation preventing the government shutdown, to spend the devil and facing a major hurdle in the senate. 10 republicans need to cross the aisle for it to pass which is highly unlikely and every gop lawmaker has come out against it was the government faces the shutdown october 1st if congress does not act. will: a vietnam war veteran returning to the cockpit after 65 years. clyde richard, what a great name, got behind the t 33 fighter jet plane he flew as an air force combat pilot. he participated in a wisconsin airshow even showing off some tricks including a 360 overhead approach and touch and go landing. richard says he wasn't nervous because flying a plane is like riding a bike. you never forget how to do it. what stands out from this story, most of our career when we were 90 years old, a veteran of korea, in world war ii, now 90-year-old veteran of vietnam. time, 13 minutes after the hour, major news outlet publishing a report about hunter biden and his laptop. the same for the new york post broke, fox news verified a year ago. jim jordan has a theory we will share with you, got. shannon: nigel farage, joe concha and lawrence jones joining us on a busy wednesday morning. ♪♪ well, you can try using the buick's massaging seat. oh. yeah, that's nice. can i use apple carplay to put some music on? >> he was positively identified. it had been weeks since she was heard from. presumably there has been an interval since she passed so some closure for the family but her remains are her. the challenge was for my colleagues to determine cause of death, performed the autopsy and my professional feeling is they are not going to release the cause of death yet with an ongoing investigation that is very preliminary in my opinion but it is important to release the manner of death as homicide because that tells us she didn't die and natural death. this is due to someone's actions taking her life. jillian: first of all i am assuming that they know the cause of death at this point and as you are and find their perhaps just not releasing it because of the ongoing investigation but the question is why? typically when you hear something has been ruled a homicide it is homicide by blood force trauma or homicide by asphyxiation, always something tied to it in the investigation is still ongoing but i wonder why conceal that portion of it right now? >> that is one of my professional guesses. there could be more analysis to be done. i don't want to say it is done so quickly because this is a complex case. the other issue becomes not only the toxicology case that takes months usually. if it is expedited it may be weeks but in the setting of the competition technically it could be very challenging been it will take some time. in addition you have to remember i've been asked to do this before when investigations are so preliminary and but even suspect police use sort of cause of death of secret information only someone directly involved would know the details. to release it to us i only know what you guys know, the general public i think in some ways could hinder the investigation who was involved. todd: reaffirming policy perspective when you do this work like you do what are the possible injuries that could lead these forensic pathologists to determine homicide was the cause of death and it was not a suicide, was not an accident, was not something natural. >> 100%. we know a baseline that she was in otherwise healthy young woman and when we do these kinds of cases you have to consider everything. you can't just assume it is a homicide although a lot of other circumstantial evidence seems to point that way and the approach that came with an open mind, you are looking for as you said injuries. i don't know the cause of death but i consider gamut of cup possibilities like gunshot wounds, stab wounds, you have to pull out his fixie a or strangulation to the neck, make sure there's no blood force trauma to the head or other parts of the body so a lot of potential ways she could have been killed. is not just one way. sometimes a combination of things. casting a wide net and looking for those injuries. jillian: a lot of people are questioning what will they find on her body in terms of dna. the dna is likely on her so that may or may not help in this situation. is there anything else they would be looking for? >> in any suspicious case you are always looking for trace evidence. dna may be one of the most essential components of that. you take fingernail clippings, maybe hair samples, looking for fibers, anything you can see on the body and fingernail clippings and other samples as necessary for dna. if it is her fiancé/boyfriend who did this they are known to associate with each other. i won't comment further because i'm not a dna analyst but it wouldn't be surprising to have an association with someone close to you. that is a challenge, the perpetrator is tied to the crime especially in the setting of decomposition, out of the wild, temperature fluctuations so that will be a challenge to tie it all together. >> appreciate it. todd: 23 after the hour. a houston police officer who spent 3 decades on the force shot and killed by a career criminal. the judge who let the shooter out of jail needs to step down now. we are talking to that union president next. jillian: an employee was attacked for enforcing bill deblasio's vaccine test mandate and they released a new video they say, black lives matter has the story all wrong. >> a couple questions, just a couple. todd: president biden ducking the press during the oval office sitdown with boris johnson and the white house press corps is not happy about it. listen. jillian: we don't have that but we do have someone important to talk to, nigel farage here to react, thank you for joining us. i am curious the reaction to this where you are. >> what a bizarre spectacle to see two important leaders muzzled behind the thickest facemask, so difficult to hear what anyone was saying. it was utterly bizarre and boris johnson, leaders are accountable to the press, all sides and all opinions, boris was stunned about the new culture, the president doesn't take questions. boris decided in an impromptu way to take questions and the white house press team didn't like it and we see ourselves, a question in the uk this morning it is president biden doesn't take questions from journalists, accountable as leader of the free world we have to ask a question is he fit and proper and competent to do the job? todd: a question you are asking over there. people are asking over here, they filed a complaint, they have a right to get information from the president, it is not just fox news but a member of the mainstream media as well. i want your thoughts on the underlying thing from yesterday which was biden's speech in front of the un generalissimo, president biden accused of pushing away our allies while cozying up to our enemies, take a listen. >> whenever possible in partnership with our allies, us military power must be our tool of last resort, not our first. we are not seeking a new cold war or a world divided in a rigid block. we have into 20 years of conflict in afghanistan. we are reengaged with the world health organization. we rejoined the paris climate agreement. >> reporter: did that speech and gender any confidence in our allies? >> it was utterly inconsistent. america is back, we are going to be nice to you now and reiterating that line in the global community. what he didn't mention was the decision after 20 years to leave afghanistan despite the fact none of our soldiers are being killed, the afghan army, the decision to me was taken unilaterally without consultation with us, the uk, our closest allies, no consultation with many allies and the british prime minister, an urgent phone call can i please speak to the president, that call wasn't what turned in 40 hours. to say we are standing with our allies the reality that afghanistan is completely different in the other thing that was extraordinary is he didn't actually mention china or the chinese communist regime by name and i think that's a cowardly act. they should have been called out for their military aggression, their threats to taiwan let alone human rights abuses being conducted on a daily basis and i really think there - at the un of all places that was a moment to show leadership, to bring allies together in saying we are not going to put up with china behaving in this aggressive and expansionist way. jillian: have you ever seen the united states in this position? >> know i haven't. the united states often makes decisions that its allies may not agree with but does it after consultation, after debate and to go behind our backs the way president biden did in afghanistan was a disgrace, opens up big questions about our relationship with the usa, threatens the future of nato, the only bright spot on the horizon is the deal with australia, thank goodness for that but the other thing that is extraordinary is this is a point view was don't know, the united kingdom still the biggest foreign investor in the united states of america and the biggest single investor in the uk, we have close ties not just of language, culture, but we are very pleased about and we have the most incredibly close business connections and yet the trade deal the trump regime wanted to do for four years which we didn't do because the government made a mess of brexit, we didn't clear that hurdle until the second or third attempt but it is clear there is no preference, no preference for the uk over brussels in the european union. putting political dogma ahead of the interests of american and british businesses and consumers in that is what stood out from that press conference is president biden is not putting the interests of american business but rather his own outdated globalist dogma. todd: thank you for the insight and rest assured the first time somebody use the word shambolic on "fox and friends first". appreciate you breaking open the case on that one. thank you. a political report determining the controversial emails from hunter biden's laptop one year after the post published copies of them corroborating several emails on the biden family's 50 rise to power. jillian: a 27 email suggested there was equity in a equity company, hundred about be sure the laptop is honest to him. jim jordan's theory why the media waited so long to report the story. >> politico figured out what we knew a year ago. we had an eyewitness, the actual email talking about the big guy, president biden, the fbi was investigating that. i'm convinced reporters knew that. big-ticket big media, and the run-up to most important election we have, president of the united states. >> the new york post reported the story in october last year before the november election, social media companies temporarily blocked users sharing the story saying their fact checkers couldn't verify it. jillian: a progressive revolt force democrats to shoot down his relapse iron dome funding from the massive spending bill. todd: is the left giving into anti-semitic influence? >> that is what we would like to know. we asked for an explanation why he was out on bond. this individual never should have been on the streets. twice he has been to the department of corrections and the va's office asked for no bond. not only did this judge not go with that motion but also set it up where he would get a reduced bail with an ankle monitor which he did not apply, did not receive an ankle monitor, and ended up killing one of our offices and critically wounding another. todd: the judge is named greg glass. you reached out to him. have you heard anything? >> nothing. we are disgusted with the fact this individual is out on the streets and this judge's failure to do his one job which is keep the citizens safe. we asked for his resignation and we will get a resignation or have someone run against him next november. heather: using this pattern of activist judges instituting their own form of bail reform in more than his courtroom? >> yes. we have another court just recently, a five times convicted felon who bail jumped twice and they let him out and he murdered a new orleans officer who was here on vacation just visiting. todd: what can we do to stop a pattern from repeating so we don't have to keep burying victims of these repeat offenders? >> we have to hold judges accountable for not doing their job. if you didn't do your job as a reporter you would be fired. if i didn't do my job as police officer identified. they had one job to keep citizenry safe from criminals like this. their job is to adjudicate. if we do our job and put them in jail the va's office does their job by prosecuting these judges put these people away and keep our citizens safe. >> what i don't understand, you are around the same age as the audience, when we were growing up there were delineations between good guys and bad guys and bad guys ended up in jail until they reformed and got out of jail. we are not doing that anymore. we are letting bad guys out before they have been reforms, putting the back on streets to commit crimes again. how did we get here? >> that is what i would like to know. this liberal agenda that has played out across this nation not only has made our offices less safe but communities less safe. we've got to do something to fix this because if we don't our kids and grandkids will reap those benefits which is more crime. >> house the second officer holding up? >> is doing well. he has a long road to recovery. he has significant internal wounds, just continue to keep him in the family of both officers in your prayer. >> thank you for being here, we are praying for you. >> a new york city restaurant releasing video three women attacking a hostess after she asked for proof of vaccination. three women charged in the assault say they were racially profiled in the hostess use a racial slur. their claim causing dozens of black lives protesters to show up outside the restaurant. mayoral candidate slamming the vaccine mandate saying the women were wrong, i don't think there should be a mandate, puts too much pressure on the owner and operator of bars and restaurants as we saw in that situation. pressure on the hostesses. >> they didn't sign up to be cops, they signed up to be hostesses. >> thousands of migrants reportedly being released into the us and dhs is ice offices were hurt in disturbances on deportation fighters the border crisis spirals out of control. >> if we don't ask the question why are we here, what caused this, we won't fix this problem. simple answer is catch and release. >> former ice officer joins us next. todd: christopher ray sending a warning to americans that the taliban take over in afghanistan could inspire a new wave of extremism in the us. >> we are concerned what the future holds whether it is the possibility of events in afghanistan serving as a catalyst. todd: the domestic terrorism caseload is skyrocketing at 2700 possible investigations up from 1000 in the spring of 2020. these really foreign minister holding crisis talks with the us after progressive numbers of congress force house democrats to remove $1 billion in funding for israeli defense. that money meant for the iron dome defense system which fended off thousands of incoming rockets from hamas earlier this year, members of the caucus have a problem with it. alexandria ocasio cortez, rashida tlaib and ilhan omar joined her to block the billion-dollar provision. texas senator grew slamming democratic leadership for bowing to the squad saying, quote, tragic, dim leadership summit as to the anti-semitic left. will any dems have the courage to announce? jillian: texas governor greg abbott at the top border patrol official taking president biden to task as migrants stream across the border into communities throughout the nation. >> it must end immediately and the way to end it is the biden administration enforcing the immigration laws of the united states of america. >> why don't we hear what caused this? the simple answer is catch and release. jillian: former director of ice's buffalo field office. you recently retired from that position. can you tell me what is going on right now? >> thanks for having me. we are doing catch and release, a whole new game. what is occurring on the border is illegal aliens coming across the border, run by er oh and er oh is transporting them to different detention facilities where you hope they are being detained but that is not the case either. they are being shipped to those locations and released so they are not being released from the border. jillian: why are they being released from those facilities? once their put on those flights why aren't they being detained? >> a lot of and don't have criminal background. there only crime is entering the country illegally which for me is a big deal but for the people is not and into the biden administration we are not allowed to hold those people, we have to release them. jillian: coming across the border and put on these planes, sent into other communities, other field offices in which they are released. does this have anything to do with the reason you retired? >> it does. a law enforcement professional, the political appointee, blue-collar kid, if the executive branch chooses to enforce laws passed by congress, and look them in the eye. >> did you try to speak up and say, think about retiring as a result? >> know. in this administration if you speak up, this 24 of me across the country, a lot are not eligible to retire so they have to be what they are told or the will be moved or relocated to another area. they are doing the best they can trying to hold the line but every american should be concerned that the border is wide open and we are shipping covid positive detainees all over the united states. jillian: a statement of fox news, quote, over the past several weeks i intend to release numerous immigrants who transferred from the border after determining they could be released into the community under alternate forms of supervision. the border is not open and cvp is still operating under center for disease control and prevention guidelines. we have 30 seconds left. they say the border is not open. you say?
