steve: well, you know what? just like everybody else, it was a different kind of holiday. we were all together as a family but we were not in the same place. i made that bacon braided smoked turkey breast, which i showed you last week. that was so good. thousands of people made it yesterday as well because they sent us pictures from our cookbook. that's our family tableau from yesterday. up in the upper left hand corner me and cathy, my daughter and marshall. peter at his apartment. and sally and alli out in california. how about you, pete, what did you do? >> we had a pretty straight up traditional there. there is the fam right there. that's our toast during our -- why did the proclamation of george washington for the first. steve: he had hegseth academy? pete: also seconds as dining room. and then we had a turkey bowl. , you have to play football. that's jen right there. she is a good free safety and was little bitting off and we had a good thanksgiving. we feel blessed. how about you? emily: it was a great thanksgiving. first of all it's always an honor to be filling in for ainsley. lots of turkey, lots of football. except for pete on my end it was just nfl, as you know, i'm a good cheer leader and couch surfer. and then christmas decorations. and usually my rule is, you know, the day after thanksgiving is when i start. but this year i started earlier. it was so fun to enjoy it during that holiday. steve: when did you start? july? because noble had anything to do this summer. emily: if i'm being honest i started watching christmas movies in july. and then i started putting up decorations maybe over a week ago. steve: that's okay. pete: it's true. hallmark movies have within on our tv. steve: my home depot have had the trees up since before halloween. we are through thanksgiving. next step christmas. pete: we can all be out in the open, exactly. we are glad you are with us this friday we have news to get to. start with a big story. president trump offering his appreciation to our troops stationed overseas and annual thanksgiving salute to service members. the president took questions from reporters revealing when covid-19 vaccines will be delivered. lauren blanchard joins us live from washington with more. lauren, good morning. >> good morning, steve, emily, pete. just like every thanksgiving during his term president trump called our troops overseas to thank them for our service. then he turned to the election. he continued to allege it was rigged the legal team has not been successful so for a overturning. he says he would leave the white house if the electoral college votes next month for president-elect biden. >> if the electoral college votes for joe biden. >> certainly i will. and you know that but i think that there will be a lot of things happening between now and the 20 of january. a lot of things. massive fraud has been found. it's going to be a very hard thing to concede. >> plus the president said a coronavirus vaccine will be delivered beginning next week and the week after to frontline workers and seniors. he also praised his administration for operation warp speed. >> don't let joe biden take credit for the vaccines. you know, joe biden failed with the swine flu. h1n1, totally failed with the swine flu. don't let him take credit for the vaccines. because the vaccines were me and i pushed people harder than they have ever been pushed before. >> president trump said he will be campaigning in georgia next weekend for the republican senate candidates. those race also decide who controls the senate. steve, emily, pete? steve: thank you. hey, lauren, did the president mean he would be in georgia next week our sounded almost like he was talking about this weekend. >> there was a little confusion with that he said on saturday we later got clarification from the white house he meant december 5th. so next weekend. they are still looking for a spot. steve: all right. very good. thank you, lauren. the president was talking about how they were looking for a location. maybe an airport or something like that down there in georgia to support kelly loeffler and david perdue. when he was talking about georgia. he was talking about the people of georgia were very disappointed they were robbed because obviously from his point of view joe biden narrowly won georgia. and he went on for a while and he talked about his legal challenges in georgia and elsewhere. and he, you know, he steadfast. he said and time and time again the discrepancies and the numbers don't add up and fraud. he continually repeated joe biden did not get 80 million votes. emily, he said it would be a very hard things if he had to concede but if the electoral college hands it to joe, he said he will leave the white house. but he said the electoral college would be making a mistake. emily: that's exactly right, steve. my two takeaways it's not over. he's not giving up and not giving. in and also that the next battle ground for him most visibly will be georgia. it's going to be interesting to see where exactly he targets. we know in north atlanta specifically where there are a ton of votes a hug discrepancy r votes of biden and ossoff. call out why so many people weren't comfortable voting for that democrat senator and push all the turnout to vote for the g.o.p. senator. pete: i wonder if this was conversation at thanksgiving dinner 80 million votes. how in the world did a guy who didn't campaign at all get 80 million votes? and you look at the legal challenges in georgia and continuing in pennsylvania where there is a legitimate constitutional challenge to the mail out ballot law there. it will test the constitutional muster of the pennsylvania constitution. as well as our own. and so the trump campaign continues to challenge these counts. you said it, steve, he's not going to concede even if the electoral college goes in the other direction. this is ongoing. steve: he said it would be a tough thing. he also blasted twitter because he said they are manipulating trending topics. they are biased against conservatives. which we have heard and he is demanding a repeal of section 230 which shields internet companies from the comments made by people who use their platforms. one of the comments that somebody made to mother jones the publication was from a defund the police advocate person by the name of angela richie. what she said essentially is they are not going away. pete: oh, good. steve: they are waiting to see what joe biden said. she said what we have heard so far from the democratic party is what they are not going to do. i don't expect they will be supportive from the main demand from the streets. it's going to be a fight. we're not going away. that's the important pair. the demand is to defund the police. it's going to get louder and louder. and i don't know that we even need to be the inside. they're going to hear it either way. emily? emily: that's exactly right. this really vocal minority will still get louder that perhaps shouting at the top of their lungs will make a difference interest but from what we are seen thus far. biden is certainly not capitulating to them on certain policy levels. we are going to see really how much ground that they have actually gotten now that his campaign something essentially over, if you can call it that but, to a degree, they have already won. look at seattle where i'm sitting right now where our police forces to the level of 1990 but the population is up 50%. so it's sort of unfortunate abyss mall ripple effect that we have seen that residence like me absolutely despise but in terms of where it going to get into the mainstream for that party that remains to be seen. pete: yeah. if you'll remember some democrats feel like maybe this isn't the best message. listen. >> this foolishness about you have got to be this progressive or that progressive, that phrase defund the police caused cost damion harrison seriously. >> . so woke people need to take a nap. so things we are hearing from the extreme elements of the democratic party. i don't think that was helpful. >> defund the police i don't know of any democrats in the closet who are for defunding the police. >> we lost members who shouldn't have lost. the number one concern and people that brought t number one concern and thing that brought to me that i barely won, was defunding the police. pete: this continues to be a horrible idea that we'll be stuck to the democrats. steve: it will be interesting to see how joe biden and his new administration does deal with it because, you know, the progressives are at this point disillusioned because they haven't seen any of their people put on his cabinet. and so what are they going to do going forward? stay tuned. meanwhile, yesterday, it was thanksgiving. as you know, that's why you have 75 pundz of leftover75 pounds on refrigerator. by. we'll be cooking it on easy bake oven on the set. first time ever had an oven on the set. pete: there it is. steve: joel, the stage manager called it, steve, glad to see you brought your easy bake oven. i'm going to make a turkey gulett put it in 45 minutes from right now. on thanksgiving the day all these leftovers came from. dan crenshaw of texas had a powerful message. just a message of the state of the nation on thanksgiving. it was super powerful. and it you did not see it on twitter as many did not, we thought we would play part of it. here he is? leave the white house if the electoral college votes next month for president-elect biden. watch. >> if the electoral college votes for joe biden rttle will you concede. >> certainly i will. under a comments last night. he's not going anywhere. he is not giving. in also that the next battle ground will certainly be georgia. we know in a lawsuit filed in the 100 pages of it. we see that the mainstream media sort of attacking typos and a lot of ancillary issues. it will be interesting to sees a the merits play out in court what exactly happens on that final scale. pete? pete: you are right, emily. he feels the same way his supporters do that the election did not feel above board. and when you have that many mail out mail-in ballots and that few safeguards especially in key states it raises a lot of questions and i think these challenges are indispensable to ensuring that going forward our elections are actually fair honest and legal. and these challenges will continue. and the president clearly showcasing, steve, that he is committed to making sure every legal vote counts and that, listener, if it comes out that it is certified, that is what it is. ultimately the fight is worth worth it. steve: that's right. so the president was asked after he did that teleconference with military leaders around the world about the georgia race. and then he was talking about how, you know, the people down in georgia probably feel like they have been ripped off. what he was alluding to was the fact that joe biden beat him narrowly in the state of georgia. and he was talking about the race was stolen from him and he was talking about the discrepancies. and something that he talked about a number of times was the fact that how did joe biden wind up with 80 million votes? he outperformed hillary clinton when she ran in 2016. he out performed barack obama when he was running for re-election. how did he do it? pete: campaigning. steve: that's what the president was wondering so, anyway. i have got a feeling we are going to hear more from him as he heads down to georgia in about a week. meanwhile, it was just before thanksgiving that the u.s. supreme court took a look at the restrictions that andrew cuomo, the governor of new york. put on a certain areas in new york state. and certainly what he did, he had some limitations due to coronavirus. that you can only have 10 to 25 people in churches and synagogues and mosques and things like that. well, the supreme court came out and said, you know what? cuomo is wrong. and blocked his decision and sided with the bishop of brooklyn an orthodox jewish synagogue that sued the state the ruling result matsly was 5-4 and said that cuomo was trampling on religious freedom. so we were interested to see what andrew cuomo would say because the supreme court said hey, governor, you can't do that. well, when the governor had a chance, he said this supreme court ruling on religious gatherings is irrelevant from any practical impact because the zone that they were talking about has already been moot. this was an opportunity for the court to express philosophy and politics. >> i'm so gadd we have an attorney in the center square. so, emily, as he said it's not moot because those particular churches and senegals are no longer in the red or orange zones doesn't that then apply other churches and synagogues and modifications in other parts of the state that are in the red and orange zones? emily: that's absolutely right, steve. his comments were totally false. it doesn't matter about the practical application with his zone designation. what matters is that this very relevant ruling blasted the fact that he was unequally applying his restrictions. regardless of zone he was saying there are capacity restrictions and places of worship and not in retail. remember, too that there were multiple types of faiths that had sued and that had petitioned the government. so as well the archdiocese, the roman catholic diocese in addition to judaism faith. a whole host of it. all denominations had issues with this. as well as all of the people of faith. and remember, there were two arguments as want my people to come to mass, we can do social distancing and wear masks and it will be safe. pete: the reverend mentioned double standards and on another topic here we have the "the washington story. here's what "the washington post" tweeted yesterday. this is a -- this is a headline from them. they said as americans prepare to gather for -- well, that's the wrong one. that's the one we are are going to play second. as americans prepare to area for thanksgiving, the world watches with dread and disbelief. we are getting together for thanksgiving. dread and disbelief. steve: that is so interesting. because what the post is saying is look at all those people getting together. the world is dreading it. but where was the tweet talking about dread when they looked at the celebrations for joe biden or the protests during this past summer as well? on november 7th after joe biden had secured what is projected to be the winner, celebrations erupt across the country as biden declared the winner of the presidency. i don't see any mention of dread there. pete: no dread. steve: once again, people gathered in numbers accord together cdc because they were not socially distanced. sean duffy former congressman from wisconsin said you know what? that's hypocrisy with a capital h. >> this is complete hypocrisy, griff. i mean, come on. the liberals and the left want to bash republicans or families that get together but celebrate, you know, the rallies of black lives matter or joe biden victory celebration. and that's why so many americans don't have faith in the media and by the way we don't give a damn what europe thinks or anyone else around the world thinks get together and celebrate thanksgiving. we believe in freedom we believe coming together with the best information protecting our families. having a little thivenering dinner and a glass of wine. steve: is he right about the glass of wine part. so, you know, emily, ultimately, it's that double standardism where it's okay to gather in gigantic numbers to celebrate joe biden or to march in protest but it is not something good to gather with your family on thanksgiving if you could be too close to somebody. emily: remember, there was a surge of coronavirus -- an uptick of cracks wit contractioe national guard. steve: he was there he was one of the national guardsmen. emily: that's right. yesment exactly. it means the editors of the bbc, etc. that's what the world means. number two, they're looking on with horror at americans' love of liberty, that we're actually prepared to say that there are things that we consider when we look at the risks as i did, i am not a young man, and i had about 14 people over at my house representing about 9 households. and what we did in order to meet the criteria of governor newsom is we protested racism for a few minutes, and that immediately made us okay. steve: so that is how you marked yesterday -- >> that's -- steve: and -- >> right.well, isn't that okay? you just said it yourself, if you gone astronaut, that's fine. if you -- demonstrate, that's fine. steve: yesterday after he had a video conference with military leaders, the president was talking a little bit about the georgia race, that he would go down next weekend to campaign for the two republicans. also he was talking about how, you know, the people down in georgia feel terrible because they were robbed because he insists that he won the state which joe biden narrowly, according to the recounts, won. but after that, dennis -- and this is something close to your heart -- he took on, he blasted twitter and accused them of manipulating the trending top ticks because they're biased against big tech. and as you can see right there, for purposes of national security, section 230 must be immediately terminated. and 230 shields internet companies from liability for the content that people who use those sites post. so you know all about big tech because you've been on this show talking about how prager university produces hundreds of videos each year talking about things that are important to you and to americans. but youtube has deemed a number of them, sorryies that is inappropriate for the -- sorry, that is inappropriate for the internet, and so they've restricted you. >> that's correct. and others have fared even worse than we have. the president is entirely right. section 230 shields them from any lawsuits for libel and so on. the quid pro quo was you'll be shielded, but you have to be a free conduit of information. so they've lied, they've cheated. twitter is the worst. twitter is thuggish. and do you know that twitter takes down doctors, epidemiologists, other scientists who simply say hydroxychloroquine might work? that is enough to be remove from twitter. to have your account closed down. if you are a doctor. this is a lie, by the way, that everything else that comes from the left. if i ever talk about liberals, i'm talking about the left. truth is not a value to them. they don't follow the science. they follow scientists with whom they agree. it's a very important distinction. the left does not follow science. so that if thousands of scientists like the great barrington deck la a ration, the great barrington statement said the lockdown is a catastrophe, it's not even reported. and if you do report it, twitter will take you down. and with regard to prager-u, i testified in the senate a year and a half ago, and ted cruz -- who's been one of the few fighters on behalf of free speech in this country in the congress -- ted cruz asked the guy before i spoke, he asked one of the heads of google why did you take down mr. prager's, why didn't you -- why dud you put it on the restricted list meaning children can't see it. and his answer was, are you ready? because it mentions murder. yeah. the awe das few of prager-u -- audacity of prager-u to put out a video on the ten commandments and mention murder. is so i said, senator cruz, we will now put out a google-friendly nine commandments. [laughter] steve: oh, man. the hypocrisy is that when it comes to politics, they always seem to crack down on one side, and it always -- >> only, only. by the way, all of this is documented in this great film called "no safe spaces." it is a great film, and i'm not saying that because i'm in it, has nothing to do with the fact that i'm in it. it's just great. your kids should watch what's happening because they are inheriting a country for the first time in american history where free speech is literally threatened with almost exe 2006. steve: all right. dennis prager joining us this day after thanksgiving. sir, thank you very much and happy holidays. >> pleasure to be with you. you too. steve: thank you, sur. all right, coming up on this friday, chicago has endured a lot this year, so will the holiday season be enough to help this shopping mecca survive?
