DEMING – Deming Cesar Chavez Charter High School has built a strong student body and faculty with the Hispanic catchphrase “Si Se Puede” (“Yes You Can”). The catchphrase applies to the community service DCCCHS has provided during these uncertain times of the COVID-19 pandemic. The DCCCHS community began providing a food pantry for families of its students over the past four years and took that a step further by partnering with Deming High School to help feed their families two years ago. Thanks to the recognition and support of the Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico, distribution of generous food boxes has now been extended to families throughout Luna County orchestrated by DCCCHS Testing Coordinator Angie Martinez, faculty and staff.
