Earth Day clean up events in South Thomaston, Rockland : com

SOUTH THOMASTON and ROCKLAND —Georges River Land Trust announces two local opportunities to participate in Earth Day clean-ups.
The first is a Preserve Roadside Cleanup on Earth Day, Thursday, April 22, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, in South Thomaston.
Georges River Land Trust will lead an effort to collect roadside debris that has collected over the winter months and help tackle the issue of waste in the green spaces and waterways. Jane Karker, one of the Georges River Land Trust trail stewards who looks after the Bobolink Trail on the Riverview Hayfields Preserve on Route 131 in South Thomaston, will lead the effort along Route 131.
