Rating: The finale of Line Of Duty was marked by an outbreak of national moaning. What? The ‘fourth man’ is Buckells? The Noddy Holder* of corruption? Also, a bumbling fool? But I swear to God, none of that really matters. More importantly, it was brilliant television and a cultural juggernaut that had everyone talking. Even Steph Corbett’s kitchen tiles came under suspicion at one point. Was there an ‘H’ etched on one? And this last episode was watched by 12.8 million people, more than watched the Oscars, and it’s the most-watched episode of a drama (not including soaps) since modern records began in 2002.
