COVID-19 Cases Show No Signs Of Slowing Down
(Raleigh, NC) -- New COVID-19 cases are reaching staggering numbers in North Carolina. The rolling average of cases over the last week is close to six-thousand per day. State public health officials reported over 68-hundred new cases yesterday, which is only second to the single-day high of 75-hundred set on Friday. (Raleigh, NC) -- The race for Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court is over. Democrat incumbent Cheri Beasley conceded to Republican Paul Newby on Saturday after the conclusion of a hand recount in the race. The difference was around only 400 votes. Newby is the longest running justice serving on the state's high court.
