(Photo courtesy Cushing Public Library) Craig Harris, music maker and historian, educator, storyteller, and radio host, will present America’s Musical Roots, for the Cushing Public Library, on Wednesday, April 28, at 6:30 p.m., via Zoom. The program is free and open to the public. To register, call Wendy Roberts at 207-691-0833 or email [email protected]. This program traces America’s roots music from old-time ballads and fiddle tunes of the Appalachian Mountains and the bluegrass of Bill Monroe to the genre-bending sounds of new grass and Americana. Harris has taught and written about music for more than four decades, and will share his enthusiasm and knowledge in this Zoom presentation as part of the Cushing Public Library’s program series.
