Councillor says family of girl killed in crash can count on community support

A Kerry councillor says the family of a young girl killed in a road accident can count on the local community for support.
11-year-old Aoibheann Duffy who was on a bike was seriously injured following a collision involving a van on the Tralee to Abbeydorney road around 7.30 last evening.
She was later pronounced dead in University Hospital Kerry.

The driver of the van, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries.
An active, outgoing, fun-loving girl who was always smiling.
That's how Principal of Ardfert National School, Betty Stack, says Aoibheann Duffy will be remembered.
