Commissioners extend temporary JFS contract, hold bid opening

Highland County commissioners Jeff Duncan, Terry Britton and David Daniels held a bid opening and extended a temporary employment contract during a brief meeting July 14 before traveling to Rocky Fork Lake to celebrate the completion of electrical upgrades.
During their regular Wednesday morning meeting — which included approximately seven minutes in open session, plus a short recess — commissioners voted 3-0 to extend a contract with Donald Myers at Highland County Job & Family Services.
