MERIDEN â The City Council is looking to revive a previously vital city board, which decades ago had been active on issues related to civil rights and discrimination, but has been inactive in recent years.Â
The Human Rights Advisory Board would have an expanded role under proposed changes before the council, and bear a new name: the âHuman Rights, Racial Equity and Social Justice Advisory Board.â Those changes would be voted on as an amendment to chapter six of the Meriden City Code.Â
