The Daily Herald This weekend is prepped to be one for the books as Columbia and Maury County celebrates the Fourth of July, starting with First Fridays, parades and, of course, fireworks. Fourth of July in Maury County The July 4 weekend kicks off with another summer First Fridays on the downtown square, when shops stay open late and musicians are on every corner. The main Saturday will continue with the 3rd of July Bike Parade for kids at Riverwalk Park, 102 Riverside Drive, from 9-11 a.m. The lineup begins at 8:30 a.m. at the park's Rotary Shelter, with kids decorating their bikes with patriotic flair. Other events include bounce houses, face painting, snow cones, popcorn and a balloon artist. There will also be opportunities to cool off at the Rotary's splash pad.
