Cartersville Assistant Planner To Become Rome Assistant Manager

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Cartersville's assistant city planner is moving to Rome to be its new assistant city manager.
Meredith Ulmer, who's been with the City of Cartersville since 2014, is expected to start her new job sometime in mid-June, according to a report in The Rome News-Tribune.
Ulmer previously had served Cartersville as city clerk and code enforcement officer, according to her LinkedIn profile. Before that, she was a professor at Georgia Highlands College in Cartersville and a case manager with the Georgia Department of Human Services in Cherokee County. Ulmer holds a master's degree in public administration from Kennesaw State University and bachelor's degree in political science from Brenau University.
