File photo of a khadi fashion show in Lucknow to promote indigenously made clothes GORAKHPUR: The first evening of the Gorakhpur Mahotsav was dedicated to khadi as the special fashion show was the centre of attraction on Tuesday. Some top models, including show stopper Miss India Dimple Patel, donned the khadi garments and walked the ramp to showcase ‘Made In India’ attire. These clothes were designed by Padma Shri awardee Runa Banerjee and some well-known designers, including Asma Hussain. With the initiative of the Uttar Pradesh Khadi Board, the Khadi Fashion Show was purely based on indigenous clothing in accordance with Indian culture and tradition.
