another weather system coming in from the atlantic. ahead of that we still have some time, notjust northern ireland but in scotland and increasingly the cloud is breaking up increasingly the cloud is breaking up across wales and some western parts of england. not particularly warm by any means. a chilly breeze continuing to bring in those showers across eastern areas of england. where we have a clearer skies following the sunshine, early in the night there is a risk of a prose, temperatures could get close to freezing for a while. but the window of clearer skies will be closing because while that area of damp weather moves await this cloud and rain moves in from the atlantic and briefly there will be some snow over the tops of the scottish mountains and may be in the northern pennines. it should turn back to rain later in the night because milder air is coming in and these other temperatures by the end of the night, above freezing by morning. i which time the rain should have cleared away from scotland and northern ireland. some sunshine, a few showers, mainly in the north of scotland where it still will be quite blustery. the cloudy damp weather continues a crossing event wales. it could linger across east anglia and the south—east well into the opening post of other parts of ingleton into wales should get more sunshine than today. temperatures are likely to be a couple of and this is, i think, the level we want to play — champions league. so we have to give every effort in to be in the top four. so we, next year, we are back in the champions league and then of course we have the fa cup. so there are still many things to play for. when we ask what's next for united, the immediate answer is this. these are their next six games, which will be a test of their depleted second t20 on thursday. australian cricketer usman khawaja says he'll fight the decision to stop him from wearing shoes with a pro—palestinian message. the batter had planned to wear shoes with the after they failed to reach the knockout stages of this year's world cup. great britain's most successful female olympian dame laura kenny believes women athletes can struggle to get pregnant because of their lifestyle. the mum—of—two is targeting a fourth games in paris next year and speaking with husband, jason, to five live breakfast, kenny says she's had many conversations with athletes suffering with a condition called red—s. there is no reason why it happened to us but i do think there are females who have struggled and will struggle to get pregnant because of the lifestyle of being an athlete and with red—s with females losing their periods, you will not get pregnant if you do not have a period. i have always consistently had a period so that has always been fine for me but the amount of conversations i have had of people having red—s, it is really dangerous because you don't have a period and these females are giving up on things and there are so many athletes that breakthrough but some countries are unhappy that the wording was not stronger. our correspondent carl nasman in dubai has been speaking to fernanda carvalho, the global climate and energy policy lead at the wwf — and he asked her if the agreement was what she was hoping for. i should say it's below our expectations. but there are some interesting points and others not so great. i think that we must acknowledge that the language on transitioning away from fossil fuels is a first in this process. after almost 30 years of discussing this, it's the first time we have this signal in the text. it's a strong signal, but not as strong as we were hoping for. we were really hoping for a phase—out of fossil fuels. but we also acknowledge it's very, very hard to get consensus when you need 198 countries to agree. what else would you have liked to have seen in that document? is there anything else missing that you were pushing for? i think the adaptation piece as a whole, not only in the text but also in the global goal of adaptation, is one that we would like to see much stronger. it's because the developing countries and the most vulnerable, vulnerable peoples of the world... and this is really talking about helping the countries that are already feeling the effects of climate change. exactly. we can feel the effects everywhere in a different way. i think that is very clear on how that is in every corner of the world. and you know, what we need here is some kind of north star, like the 1.5. so it's a set of indicators that we couldn't agree at this cop. and of course, we need to significantly scale up finance on this issue to help those countries and those peoples that are the most affected. at the wwf so much of what you focus on has to do with nature. what would a north star for nature look like? well, of course we want a nature positive world by 2030. we need to be halting and reversing the destruction of nature. so i think that that we saw, again, some positive signals. there were many pledges connected to nature on mangroves. there was a mangrove breakthrough.
