Tempting travellers back onto the trains, as the number of Rail Passengers falls to a record low, i am here at euston this morning looking at what the future holds for Rail Travel across the uk. A wonderful night for wales. Theyre on the verge of the Euro 2020, Knock Out Stage after a convincing win over turkey in baku. Last night, we saw some heavy Thundery Downpours, particularly across kent. More thunderstorms in the Forecast Today across parts of england where it will remain humid in the South East. Best of the dry and sunny conditions will be in the North And West. All the details coming up. Good morning. Its thursday the 17th ofjune. Our top story Dominic Cummings has warned that he will continue his wave of attacks on the governments early handling of the pandemic. The Prime Ministers former adviser said there was More To Come after he published what he says are private messages from Borisjohnson Criticising the Health Secretary. It comes as mps backed the Governments Decision to extend Covid Restrictions in england until next month, in efforts to halt the spread of the Delta Variant. James reynolds reports. The commons approved the Governments Decision to delay ending Covid Restrictions in england until the 19th ofjuly. The ayes have it. Unlock. 51 conservative mps opposed it. Thats the second biggest Tory Revolt of this parliament, but its not the backbenchers who worry this government the most. Is this a vendetta, Mr Cummings, With Mr Hancock . Dominic cummings, former Prime Ministerial adviser and current amateurjogger, has released a series of damaging private messages from the early days of the pandemic. In march last year, Mr Cummings sent a late Night Message to borisjohnson, accusing the Health Secretary Matt Hancock of failing to increase testing. The Prime Minister seemingly agreed, in expletive filled terms. Later, the adviser raised another concern. We have been turning down ventilator offers because the price has been marked up, he wrote, to which the Prime Minister appears to have replied, its hancock, he has been hopeless. A month later, mrjohnson apparently wrote, on ppe, its been a disaster. He appears to have suggested replacing Matt Hancock With michael gove. Mr cummings replied, this would have a severe risk of making it worse, not better. Matt hancock was left to defend himself from the Back Seat of his car. Did you really think Matt Hancock was useless, sir . Why didnt you sack was useless, sir . Why didnt you sack him . The prime Ministers Team says it has full confidence in the Health Secretary. The opposition, though, says the entire government is in trouble. Its a shambles, and actually, if its true what Dominic Cummings has said about the fact he failed on ppe and he failed on Care Homes, and the Prime Minister knew that, then theres questions of why the Prime Minister kept him in post and allowed more people to die unnecessarily. Dominic cummings himself hasnt yet finished his offensive. In a tweet, he links to his stream of messages. Evidence here, he writes, More To Come. James reynolds, Bbc News. Lets get more on this now With our chief political correspondent adam fleming. Adam, what more can we expect from Dominic Cummings . As if this wasnt explosive enough, a promise of more. find as if this wasnt explosive enough, a promise of more. A promise of more. And the big auestion a promise of more. And The Big Question is. A promise of more. And The Big Question is, what a promise of more. And The Big Question is, what is a promise of more. And The Big Question is, what is more. A promise of more. And the big L Question is, what is more. These Expletive Filled Messages With the Prime Minister, is that the only time he behaved like that, or are many other examples that Dominic Cummings got Screen Grabs of . Then theres the question of what could be other issues because lately, Dominic Cummings has focused on his four key issues, which is the Governments Strategy at the start of the pandemic, which he thought was wrong, the Governments Approach to protecting Care Homes, which he thought was wrong, the prime Ministers Leadership, which he thinks is a little bit rubbish, and Matt Hancock, who he clearly loathes and thinks is utterly useless. Then theres the question of what prompts Dominic Cummings to act again, because he released those Messages Yesterday in reaction to stuff that Matt Hancock the Health Secretary had said at the select committee, so what is the moment in which Dominic Cummings chooses to release any more messages if he does have them . And those of some of the questions people are asking at westminster as they are gripped by this feud between one of the Prime Ministers closest advisers and the Prime Minister. . , closest advisers and the Prime Minister. ,. Minister. Adam, thanks very much, we will talk more minister. Adam, thanks very much, we will talk more later. Childrens services in england are more focused on investigating struggling families than helping them, according to a report. An independent review into Council Run social care says The System does not provide enough early support and needs urgent Investment And Reform. Heres our social Affairs Correspondent alison holt. Playing and exploring in the shade at this Childrens Centre in hertfordshire helps children and parents make the most of life together. Its the sort of Community Support that Todays Report says should be much more widely available to all families. Certainly for these parents, it means a lot. Very important for the mum and the baby, obviously, for the mum to meet new friends and to get advice and tips for themselves and also for their baby. Full of information that new parents need, because we dont have a lot of information. I mean, you can go on the internet, but to actually speak to somebody, going to the services, and theyre absolutely fantastic. But the independent review says spending by councils in england on general Advice And Support for families has been cut by a third in recent years, With money shifting to crisis services. The review concludes that, too often, families end up being investigated by childrens services, not supported. It says teenagers in particular are being failed by the current system, and that too many children are ending up in care. The Report Author says Investment And Reform of The System cannot be put off. If we carry on like this, it will both become more expensive and continue to be inadequate in the supported it gives to children and families, and so we need to change, you know, there is no Option here where childrens social Care Wont Cost more money in the short term. The question is, do we invest in reform, or do we carry on as we are and see services not a good enoughjob . In response to the review, the government says it is putting extra money into targeting educational support earlier in the lives of young people to make sure all children have the same opportunities. Alison holt, Bbc News. President biden and russian leader Vladimir Putin have described their Genevan Summit as positive and constructive, but made it clear that significant differences remain between them. The talks lasted around three hours and was the first meeting of the pair since mr bidens inauguration. Our Washington Correspondent gary odonoghuejoins us now from geneva. Gary, what was discussed . It sounds like it was a pretty frank, fruitful discussion, as Vladimir Putin put it. They ranged across a number of issues, right from things like Election Interference and cyber attacks right across to opposition activity, inside russia, which america is not happy about, americans kept in prison there, all sorts of issues. Ukraine, all these kinds of things the americans have problems about. The russian president pushed back on a lot of these things, he was not having any of it when it was suggested he was responsible for cyber attacks. Suggested he was responsible for cyberattacks. Ukraine suggested he was responsible for cyber attacks. Ukraine was his business. What happened inside russia in terms of the opposition again was his business, he tried to draw an equivalence between that and the attack on the capital the capitol back injanuary, suggesting that President Biden should not have. What happens now as these two sides will start to talk separately about things like nuclear proliferation and we will see what kind of Concrete Consequences come out of those kind of tops. China has successfully launched three astronauts into space. The trio will spend three months at the Countrys Brand new Space Station which was put into orbit in april and is still being constructed. It did, we had 30 millimetres of rainfall in kent in the space of just one hour. That particular band is moving along the coastline of East Anglia, still some thunderstorms banging away. Thunderstorms are hit and miss, we will not all see them, and for the next two days, that is certainly the picture. Sunny spells, the best in the North And West, and also some Thundery Downpours. But even when we have those downpours come in between them we should see the cloud break, who will see some sunshine, meaning the temperature will shut up. But you can see what has been happening this morning. This batch of rain has brought thunderstorms to paris, and is now doing the same across the South East, and we have got to the next batch of rain coming our way moving north and east, as indeed is The One across the midlands. Quite a metal messy Weather Picture this morning. This one drifting northwards and eastwards, which could also be thundery. A lot of cloud in the south, some sunshine red breaks, but the Lions Share of that will be in the North And West. Could still be the odd isolated shower. You will notice it is much fresher in the North And West, temperatures between 14 and 18 temperatures between 1a and 18 celsius, still quite mid as we pushed on towards the South East, a top Temperature Today of around 2a celsius. Yesterday, top temperature was 29, which was at heathrow. Through the rest of the afternoon and into the evening and overnight, we say goodbye to this line of rain, quite a bit of cloud around. Dry for a time With some clear skies, but then the next batch comes up across then the next batch comes up across the Channel Islands and into the South East. Again, not all of us will see them, but the potential for some heavy bursts and thundery bursts as well in between. A Muggy Night in the south, but much more comfortable for sleeping in as we push further north. A longer Weather Forecast With more details and a bigger look into the week in about half an hour. Thanks, carol. 0f half an hour. Thanks, carol. Of course, the England Scotland Game tomorrow night, so could be thundery at wembley tomorrow. And ladies they at wembley tomorrow. And ladies they at roy last today. Ladies day at royal ascot today. Train Passenger Numbers have plummeted as a result of the pandemic and tempting passengers back is going to be crucial if the network is to survive. Bens at Euston Station for us this morning where theyre attempting to break a record today. Ben, whats going on there . Good morning. Take a look at how quiet it is here. I know it is only 14 quiet it is here. I know it is only 1a minutes past six, but ten trains are due to leave here over the next hour, and there are very few passengers to get on them. And that is part of the problem, this pandemic is change the way we work, and crucially, how we travel. Passenger numbers down significantly across the network, falling to a record low. What they are going to try and do today is set a new Speed Record, to try and reinvigorate demand for the railways. What they will do is send a train from here at London Euston to glasgow, and the previous record, set back in the 1984, was three hours 52 minutes and 40 seconds. They will be trying to beat that this morning. The trimble travel about 125 miles an hour, the maximum allowed on the Uk Rail network. It will not stop, they will not be paying passengers on board, and the hope that will give them a bit of a boost and encourage people to consider the train once again for Speed And Ease, rather than may be taking the car to get to the office or their place of work. It is just the latest in a long line of Record Attempts on the railways, as ive been Finding Out. Take a look. From stevensons rocket. But that Pistol Packing infernal machine terrified everyone. To the flying scotsman. 0n on her 0n Herway to on her way to repeat history. Britains Railway Past is packed full of record breaking steam trains, promoting the Speed And Ease of travel. As freight moved onto the roads in the 50s and 60s, passengers became the main source of income for the railways. But in the motorway age, trains fell out of favour. Passengers and investment slumped, and heavy cuts followed. They are closing the stations With beautiful names. Chase water and safran norden. If beautiful names. Chase water and safran norden. If you thought that| was electrifying, here is something that was electrifying, here is something thai really was electrifying, here is something that really is. But a new decade of diesel and electric ushered in a new era. Despite incidents and accidents, Passenger Numbers grew once more, hitting record highs. But the pandemic changed everything. Empty carriages, roped off seats, Social Distancing. The government took back control. And so what next . Well, great British Railways. Its the new organisation that will replace network rail, and will spell The End of individual franchises. Its promising simpler ticketing and more integration, but will it be enough to tempt passengers back . If they clean up the rolling stock, thatll be great. Id like to see more services and amenities on the trains. Overpriced. Slightly delayed, every time i catch a train, always delayed, but, yeah. They could do With reducing the cost a little bit. I think for me, it would probably be more private spaces, more tables, and seats ofjust ones and twos, not having loads of people around you, i guess. Well, i think youre asking the wrong person. Im swiss, so im used to Swiss Trains and punctuality, so we were meant to pick her up at 16. 29, and she arrived at 16. 45, so thats already not the best Starting Point. Today, another train will attempt another British Rail record, but getting our railways back up to speed after the pandemic could be a much tougher challenge. Ben thompson, Bbc News. What do passengers say is most important to them to get them back on trains . We have them to get them back on trains . Have been talking to thousands of people over the last few months about their travelling experiences and thinking about travelling. Three things come out really strongly. First of all, social distance and, the ability to be able to social distance as much as possible on Public Transport, face coverings, and thirdly, visible cleanliness. Some get the product right. Secondly, get the price rate, value for money tickets, we have got new flexible season tickets coming in on monday, but we need wholescale reform of ticketing to be able to attract people back. And thirdly, the good old fashioned one, the liability, run the trains on time. How realistic is Social Distancing on trains where you are packed in like sardines, we have all been on those trends, is it realistic . It is very difficult those trends, is it realistic . It is very difficult to those trends, is it realistic . It is very difficult to have those trends, is it realistic . It 3 very difficult to have Social Distancing on Public Transport. Some Train Services are reservation only, keeping things sort of under control, but as Passenger Numbers start to creep up, i think people are starting to find it a bit more uncomfortable. As a Black Man, they dont appreciate you asking them questions, its more or less like, why are you asking me questions . As a Black Man its whatever they say, you agree to it and say, yes, sir. The images of danish footballer Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch at the euros last weekend after suffering a Cardiac Arrest, sent shockwaves Around The World. Tonight, denmark take to the field again, and thanks to the quick thinking of his Team Mates and access to a defibrillator, eriksen is alive to cheer them on. His resuscitation has prompted calls for the life saving equipment to be made available in more public spaces, as breakfast s Graham Satchell reports. Saturday afternoon, and the world stood still, praying for danish footballer Christian Eriksen. As players formed a protective ring, medical staff used a defibrillator to shock Eriksens Heart back into action. It was absolutely shocking and it was upsetting to see. You still dont expect to see stuff like that on live tv. Benjones was watching the game With his seven year old son, 0scar. He had a Heart Attack and they had this thing called a therm. Defibrillator. Defibrillator, and they help you if youve had a Heart Attack. It sends electricity to your heart and it starts re going again. 0scar was so moved by what he saw that he started a Go Fund me run. He wants to raise money for a defibrillator for his football team. We wanted to run a mile every day for 26 days to raise money to get one for our team and other Teams, the Teams that are older than us and dont have some. The question he asked me was, what happens if it happens at our Football Match . It took my breath away, the question, really. As an Fa Coach and the coach of his football team, we are trained to use one but we dont have one, so, yeah, im very proud of him. I think it at seven years old to want to do that is phenomenal. Apply pads to patients bare chest as shown in Picture Press packs firmly to patients skin. Defibrillation in combination With Chest Compression can be vital in saving someones life. People should not be afraid to use them because you just press the on button and it explains exactly what you need to do, so people should just go ahead and do it. Every minute that someone doesnt act to do something for someone who has had a Cardiac Arrest, the chance of survival is reduced by 10 . There are a growing number of so called public access defibrillators. More than 100,000 in total, in shopping centres, some workplaces and transport hubs but they are used in just 3 of Cardiac Arrests outside hospital. Part of the problem is no one knows exactly where they all are, so the british Heart Foundation is now working on a national database. The importance of that is that the Ambulance Service in the local area know where that defibrillator is and how to get access to it and be able to tell the person who rings 999 for help looking to use that defibrillator to save someones life. They have been calls for a change in the law so defibrillators become mandatory in workplaces and other public areas. There is no doubt that using one helped to save eriksens life, who was conscious when he left the field on saturday and is now in a stable condition in hospital. 0scar will be running for the next 25 days as he tries to protect the players at his football club. Graham satchell, Bbc News. It is important, isnt it . 0scar is doing something to hopefully save lives that we hope you never ends up in that situation. Can we talk about the latest developments when it comes to treatments, therapies, for those who have contracted coronavirus. There is a new therapy, and it is a potent intrusion of antibodies on the idea is that it neutralises the virus, but can you explain how it works . It is something that neutralises the virus inside the body rather than making the Body Fight hard against the virus as if it has been immunised. Yes, so this type of therapy is something we already have and we use it for a number of other conditions, particularly where the Immune System is attacking the body. It is a type of treatment that has been used in types of Multiple Sclerosis for instance as well as other immune conditions and its a very effective infusion, and absolutely, what it does is try is to neutralise the Bodys Response as well as the virus, so it can be a good way of boosting the Immune System but at the moment, from this Study Looks like there is only a small percentage of people who might benefit and also the other thing we always need to consider is the fact that this is really, really expensive, so this will be for those patients who perhaps have not responded to Steroid Treatment or other treatment or for whatever reason are not able to have that, this is now another Option. One of the things we will discuss this morning as compulsory vaccination for front Line Care Home workers. As a gp, all of you had to be vaccinated and took on board that you would be vaccinated . How did it work . That on board that you would be vaccinated . How did it work . At the moment it is vaccinated . How did it work . At the moment it is very vaccinated . How did it work . At the moment it is very normal vaccinated . How did it work . At the moment it is very normal in vaccinated . How did it work . At the | moment it is very normal in standard for those of us who are doctors or nurses dealing With Front Line patients to have certain vaccinations and its condition of entry to Medical School and you have to prove your Vaccination Status and have further vaccinations against conditions like Hepatitis B that can be transmitted in the blood. The idea that medical professionals, the idea that medical professionals, the idea of having the Covid Vaccine was standard and everybody i know has had it in terms of professional colleagues even though at the moment it is not compulsory, so the idea that Care Staff might be having and it will be compulsory to something thatis it will be compulsory to something that is normal Within the nhs and something i can understand. Would you feel comfortable working With i you feel comfortable working With someone who said they did not want to be vaccinated against covid . Personally, no. 0bviously to be vaccinated against covid . Personally, no. Obviously there are sometimes very rare medical reasons why somebody cannot have a Covid Vaccination but if it is simply down to choice, i think part of the deal if you are working on the Health Service and Care Service is you need to protect those are vulnerable that you are dealing With. To protect those are vulnerable that you are dealing With. There is now a debate about you are dealing With. There is now a debate about children you are dealing With. There is now a debate about children and you are dealing With. There is now a debate about children and whether. Debate about children and whether they should be vaccinated. Let me make sure i get this right. The nhra have said it is ok and trial show it is ok for children aged under 18 to be vaccinated and thejcvi has not approved it. And i think while the data is still emerging, i think theres a huge amount of evidence it is beneficial but not always just to the children comments about transmission, and what we are now seeing at this time of year is we are seeing an increase in the snotty noses, the coughs and colds that are really normal amongst kids but for the nhs its incredibly difficult for us to know, is this a presentation of the Delta Variant of covid in children we are seeing more of, Orare Covid in children we are seeing more of, or are these normal coughs and colds. So almost every child getting in touch we have to say, can you go and have a Mhra Test because we are not sure until we have that done and needing to potentially isolate. A scheme to reintroduce the tiny rodents to their native habitat has now reached a milestone With The One thousandth captive bred animal being released. 0ur Science Correspondent Victoria Gill has the story. Tiny, nocturnal and under threat. Dormice, the only Uk Rodents With furry tails, have been quietly disappearing from our countryside. Can i give you these four bags, so if you can do half a scoop on each of those. Now in a mission that started in 1993 to bring them back to woodlands across the country, these conservationists are preparing to release their 1000th captive bred dormouse. Their chosen home is this carefully managed woodland in north lancashire. We know that A Hundred years ago dormouse were widespread throughout england and wales and they reached as far north as the scottish border. But we know in the last hundred years they have been lost from 17 english counties, so in the national context, the decline is quite severe. Its been a painstaking team effort. The animals were born at London Zoo and after Health Screenings and nine weeks of quarantine, the 30 rodents were transported more than 250 miles to this remote spot. Why go to all of this effort for this one species . They lived here originally and belonged here, so even if you improve the habitat of the area, if some of the speices are missing and cannot come back themselves, if you can bring them back, you are putting back, you are putting them into that jigsaw of what the overall ecosystem should be like and that is what a dormouse is providing, its part of the jigsaw and putting it all back together. 0n the final stretch of theirjourney, i had the privilege of very carefully carrying two dormice to their new home. We dont expect them to come out at all. They are quite cosy in there. This large cage With extra Food-and-water'>Food And Water will provide protection for a pair of the animals. Is that 0k there . Letting them settle into their new habitat before conservationists open the door. The team is keeping the exact location of the release a secret to protect the animals and their Work Wont Stop today. Its easier to navigate if you are a dormouse. You all right . This is one of our footprint tunnels. They would move along the branch and this is basically how you track. They move through real tangled thickets of branches through the woodland and they will be able to pass through this tunnel and leave footprints on the inside on a piece of paper which we can then identify because they are very distinctive footprints, and that will give us a real track on where the mice are moving to in the woodland. Keeping track of the new arrivals will help the researchers monitor the state of the habitat. The dormouse thrives in areas where there are other species thriving, so a good woodland for Dormouse Habitat is a good woodland for birds, a good woodland for wild flowers and butterflies. It shows that your woodlands are in a good state. The hope is that, like dormice who have already been reintroduced in england, they will breed this summer replacing a tiny piece of an Ecosystem Jigsaw that has been missing for a century. Dominic cummings warns hell continue his attacks on the governments handling of the pandemic, after revealing details of private messages from the Prime Minister. It comes as mps give the green light to extending Covid Restrictions until the 19thjuly, despite more than 50 conservatives voting against the move. How was the Manchester Arena Bomber able to carry out the attack . Families hope for answers as the first of three reports from the inquiry are published later. A wonderful night for wales. Theyre on the verge of the Euro 2020 Knock Out Stage after a convincing win over turkey in baku. Good morning. Its thursday the 17th ofjune. Our top story Dominic Cummings has warned that he will continue his attacks on the governments handling of the pandemic. The ayes to the right, 461. A month later, mrjohnson apparently wrote, 0n ppe, its been a disaster. He appears to have suggested replacing Matt Hancock With michael gove. Mr cummings replied, this would have a severe risk of making it worse, not better. Matt hancock was left to defend himself from the Back Seat of his car. Are you hopeless, Mr Hancock . Did you really think Matt Hancock was useless, sir . It might be embarrassing for the Home Secretary to be asked if he is hopeless, but does any of it matter . You would have thought of that was ever going to be a difference to the public opinion about the government on the basis of what Dominic Cummings has said, it would have happened after that seven Hour Session he did in front of mps on the Health And Technology select committee is a couple of weeks ago, and that did not seem to dent the Governments Reputation among the Governments Reputation among the government at all, or the public S View of borisjohnson. So you do wonder if a continued stream of more messages being published on the Dominic Cummings blog would have a change that, but people are asking if there are more messages to come. He obviously took a lot of Screen Grabs, but are these the most dramatic outburst of the Prime Minister . 0rwas dramatic outburst of the Prime Minister . Or was this behaviour actually quite typical of the Prime Minister . We could see many more Swearing Whatsapp messages in the near future. Swearing whatsapp messages in the nearfuture. And Swearing Whatsapp messages in the near future. And then theres the issue that we know what Dominic Cummings main issues are. He is very annoyed about how the government talks about its a little strategy in the pandemic initial strategy, he is very annoyed about the prime Ministers Leadership and about the Health Secretary Matt Hancock, so we know that those are the areas where if Dominic Cummings does say more, that is probably where he would focus his fire. And there is also the question of timing, because Dominic Cummings tends to react to things, so the reason he wrote this big Blog Yesterday was he was reacting to claims made by a Matt Hancock, the Health Secretary, at a previous Committee Hearing last week. So this raises the spectre of, whenever the government talks about any of these issues, will Dominic Cummings then dump a load of private Expletive Filled Messages on his website . Adam, for the moment, thank you. Ryanair and the owner of manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands airports will launch a legal challenge against the government over its international Travel Traffic Light system. They want more transparency about how ministers decide which countries qualify for the green list and say the current system is making it impossible to plan. The government says it cautiously manages the risk of new variants. Childrens services in england are more focused on investigating struggling families than helping them, according to a new report. An independent review into Council Run social care says The System does not provide enough early support and needs urgent Investment And Reform. Heres our social Affairs Correspondent alison holt. What can you see . Full of information that new parents need. Because we dont have a lot of information. I mean, you can go on the internet, but to actually speak to someone, going to the services, and theyre absolutely fantastic. The Report Author says Investment And Reform of the System Cant be put off. President biden and russian leader Vladimir Putin have described their summit as positive and constructive, but made it clear that significant differences remain between them. The talks lasted around three hours and was their first meeting since mr bidens inauguration. The two sides agreed to begin a dialogue on nuclear arms control, but there was little sign of an agreement on other issues, including Cyber Security and the ukraine. The first findings from the Public Inquiry into the Manchester Arena Bombing which killed 22 people, will be published this afternoon. Over the course of the pandemic, Train Passenger numbers in the uk have plummeted to their lowest levels since records began. To try to tempt travellers back, this morning one provider is attempting to break the record for the fastest journey from london to glasgow. Its hoped that as well as raising money for charity, the effort will also highlight the ease of travelling by train. Some of the hottest temperatures of the year were recorded this week but With this came thundrestorms for parts of england. These were some of the dramatic pictures taken by Weather Watchers in kent overnight. A yellow Weather Warning is in place for most of the South East until seven oclock this evening. Heres carol With a look at this mornings weather. Quite a few thunderstorms Last Night and this morning, this one is also from kent. 30 millimetres of rainfall from a thunderstorm during the course of the night in just one hour. Some flashing pictures here. We are looking at some Thundery Downpours in the next few days, not all of us will see them by any stretch, but if you catch one, it could well be torrential, and for some, might even lead to some Flash Flooding. Also some sunny spells in the forecast, too, the best of which for most of us will be in the North And West. We have been coming up across the southwest this morning, this band of thundery rain currently pushing northwards, and we have got some rain across the midlands, also pushing North Eastwards. That will end up in the North Sea, as indeed all this band. But behind this, there could be further thundery showers developing, this one still to clear from the north and east, which will take the rest of the day. Cloud across parts of england and wales, but in it will break up, and when it does, the temperature or should up 24 celsius. For Scotland And North West England and Northern Ireland, we are looking at drier conditions With isolated showers and some sunshine. And if youre in The Sunshine, these temperatures will feel quite pleasant. It will not be humid in the north, but it will be in the South East. Eventually we say goodbye to this line of showers, some of which will have some thunderstorms. A dry spell, some clear skies in the North And West, but the rain then comes up across the South East. Again, some of it will be thundery, and it will also be humid. Much fresher as we move northwards and westwards. So tomorrow, we still have that rain coming in across the Channel Islands and the South East of england, still the potential for some thunderstorms embedded in that. But as towards the North And West, temperatures responding accordingly. Top temperature of tomorrow 20. Still humid in the south, but less so, and on saturday, less so again, which for some is music to our ears. Thank you, carol. After labours disappointing results in the local elections last month, Sir Keir Starmer admitted that his party needs to change. Today, hell set out labours plans on how to reunite the country post covid, in an effort to regain support. Lets speak now to the Partys Chair Anneliese dodds. Good morning. What is the problem . The problem is that we have so many opportunities for our country and if you think about the green and digitalfuture, for you think about the green and digital future, for example, you think about the green and digitalfuture, for example, but digital future, for example, but those digitalfuture, for example, but those opportunities are not being ceased. So today were launching stronger which is a Road Map, making sure we benefit from those opportunities, and really learn from what our country has done during this pandemic. It has been a dreadful time for so many people, but it is also shown that we can be stronger together, commercial and our businesses have been able to work With trade unions, the government, to create ventilators in weeks when it would normally have taken love weeks when it would normally have Ta Ken Love for years weeks when it would normally have taken love for years months or years, so this Road Map will be put in those principles into brightness, and as i say, facing up to those big opportunities we are just not seizing right now as a country. You look at the fact that labour now is overwhelmingly represented for our natural mayors, the first female Metro Mayor ever, you look at the fact that Labour Made Gains in places like worthing, where we have not had a Labour Councillor for 41 years, clearly we have a mountain to climb in some parts of the country, we do we need to build that support back up, and i am really determined that we use this process to learn about the challenges facing them, but also learning about what has gone wrong, when people have come together. 50 gone wrong, when people have come touether. ,. ,. ,. ,. , gone wrong, when people have come touether. ,. ,. ,. ,. , together. Actually match their lives and their concerns. We have been trying to do that this week, for example, you would fully Catch Up plans that the government has set out about a pound per pupil, i think. We talked directly to pupils up think. We talked directly to pupils up and down the country, and this is does what they are most concerned about is that their kids have been away from their friends for so long. They are worried about the social contact as well as the education. That is why we have set up breakfast clubs up and down the country for every cloud is, that is that kind of policy that this map is going to be focusing on, speaking directly to where people are in their concerns. So lets talk about that, for example, you brought up the issue of the gust of Catch Up learning. Can you be absolutely categorical that if you were in power now, you would be giving the total, which i think is estimated at 13. 5 billion, to be Catch Up front Stick Help families, and that is in your mist of. Thank you very much a vitally important step thats how the Health Secretary has described the decision to make vaccinations compulsory for Care Home staff in england. The Policy Change will also apply to anyone carrying out work inside the homes such as tradespeople or hairdressers, raising questions over how this will work in practice. We can speak now to geoff butcher, who owns six Care Homes, and richard young, whos a contractor. Tell me the situation where you are at, in terms of the number of staff you have, and the conversations you have had With those who are perhaps hesitant about being vaccinated. Tote hesitant about being vaccinated. We are hesitant about being vaccinated. E are into the mid 90 of staff who have been vaccinated, the home we are at this morning, we have got a Staff Groupjust in are at this morning, we have got a Staff Group just in excess of 50 of them all but three have been vaccinated. And they are all quite annoyed, they are more than annoyed about this, actually, on the basis that they feel they have been put in a position where they have got no Option either to be vaccinated, or to have a change of career, and this will have a very significant impact on us in terms of staffing, and we have already had staff in other homes who have said they will resign because they will not be vaccinated. But we have also had people who indicated that they will not be interested in coming into care. So yesterday, i had somebody who walked out of an interview because they did not want to be coerced into it. So the big issue we have here is recruitment, which is very difficult at the moment, and if we cannot recruit, and if we are losing experienced staff, that in itself poses a risk. The restrictions that are going to be put on With tradespeople are going to make it very difficult to operate. So richard here will not be allowed to put people into the home unless they have been vaccinated. We cannot really see how this is going to work practically. So we can keep providing the information, and we will do so, but those are the real issues, actually. There are people With very strong beliefs, and of course some people do not want to be coerced into something, and i totally get that. Irate here in terms of time being able to adjust the business. Here in terms of time being able to adjust the business. We can use that time to encourage adjust the business. We can use that time to encourage staff, adjust the business. We can use that time to encourage staff, but adjust the business. We can use that time to encourage staff, but i adjust the business. We can use that time to encourage staff, but i come l time to encourage staff, but i come back to it, this is at a time where we are suffering major recruitment problems, sol we are suffering major recruitment problems, so i do not see that that leeway really is going to help the industry in terms of those recruitment problems. So it is a significant problem, and i think also what i would like to reflect on is that this policy only applies to people in care, it is not applying to all the other visitors who come into a Care Home environment, so our staff are very annoyed about this, it does not apply to nhs staff or local authority people, it doesnt apply to friends and family, so which risk are really trying to reduce here where we are exacerbating the problem With staffing . Yes, we have got some time to try and work this through, but i dont think the core issues are going to go away, particularly at a time when the Care Industry is suffering so much from underfunding and the government is Withdrawing all the extra funding at The End of june. So there are a whole other financial issues behind this as well that have not been thought through. Thanks very much, both of you. Time now to get the news, Travel And Weather where you are. Good morning from bbc london, im sonia jessup. A Bbc Investigation has found black people are six times more likely than white people to have force used on them by the british Transport Police. Official records show officers used force 6,000 times between 2019 and 2020. One in five of those cases involved black people. As a Black Man, they dont appreciate you asking them questions, its more or less like, why are you asking me questions . As a Black Man its whatever they say, you agree to it and say, yes, sir. Thats it. And if you ask them questions they become defensive and aggressive, which is not right. British Transport Police told us they will always place diverse communities at the forefront of their policing approach. Superintendant Robyn Williams said she had not viewed the clip after being sent it by her sister, and did not know it was on her phone. Its been a very uncomfortable night for sleeping With temperatures in the mid to high teens. We have had some thunderstorms, largely out towards the east, frequent lightning but not everywhere has seen that. We have had the rain though and the Met Office still has a yellow warning in place for the thunderstorms as there is a another band coming up from the south as we head further through this morning. Again, not everywhere will see them, but if you do, heavy, torrentiaL Rain for a time With frequent lightning. Temperatures today reaching 25 celsius. Its still feeling humid but not quite as hot as yesterday. Into the evening, the showers will clear and it will be dry for the first part of the night, still quite cloudy and still quite humid, but as you can see, more thunderstorms coming up from the south through the early hours of friday morning. The minimum temperature between 13 and 16 celsius. Its not quite as muggy as Last Night. Those thunderstorms sees another yellow Weather Warning in place for friday and then staying and settled into the weekend. Im back in half an hour. Plenty more on our website at the usual address. Now its back to naga and charlie. Bye for now. Hello, this is breakfast With Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty. The widower of a Police Officer who was killed in the Manchester Arena Bombing, says he feels let down by the british Transport Police. Today, the first report from the Public Inquiry into the attack will be published, and is likely to be highly critical of Security Arrangements the venue. Our north of England Correspondent Judith Moritz reports. I dont know how close i was to death on the night. Maybe its good ive got no memories of it. Ok, lean back for me. Paul price was at Manchester Arena when the bomb went off. And keep pushing, push for us. He just survived. And up. I still have shrapnel in me, i have shrapnel by my spine and my pelvis that they cannot get out. But its notjust his own injuries that paul has had to cope With. Its also overwhelming grief. His partner, elaine mciver, did not survive, one of 22 people murdered that night. She was the love of my life. I was the love of her life. Elaine was a Police Officer and her dedication to herjob as a Detective Constable has given paul a very personal take on the polices actions before the bombing. In particular, he has been upset to discover that against instructions, there was no Police Officer in the foyer when the concert ended and the bomb exploded. Four british Transport Police officers were standing together at Victoria Station next door. Two of them had earlier driven ten miles to buy a kebab and had taken a two hour meal break. The enquiry as a whole has been hard. I didnt want to be let down by btp, but i was, and i think that hurt more than anything, because elaine was a Police Officer. And again, after the explosion, there was heroics and they stepped up, but the failings before the explosion was unforgivable as far as i am concerned. The btp officers on duty that night have still been commended for their heroism after the explosion. The force has also accepted the attack happened on its watch and it let the public down. But what about the private companies responsible for security at the arena . This is the journey the bomber, Salman Abedi, took into the foyer, and up the stairs to a carefully researched hiding place, out of sight for nearly an hour in a cctv blind spot. Two teenage stewards became aware of abedi after a member of the public raised his concerns, but they did not challenge him. Both were employed by showsec, who did security for the arena operators, smg. I will never forget when ijoined one of the senior managers in showsec are said to me, john, dont expect too much from these people because, if they werent here, theyd be flipping burgers. Some very young people doing this. Very young, inexperienced, never seen angry people in their lives. A difficult job for them. The enquiry has heard that stewards, largely casual workers, received unpaid training which they could click through in seconds on their mobile phones. Smg has accepted some shortcomings but denies blaming others or putting profit over safety. Showsec has also admitted it has fallen short but said its errors had not contributed to the bombing. Im going to court daily at the moment, trying my best anyway. Figen murray has been keeping a Video Diary during the Enquiry And Today she and other bereaved relatives will find out the chairmanS View on security failings at the arena. Darling, if you cant have a glass of prosecco on your way to the tube station, then when can you . Her son, martin hett, was murdered there. His loss has totally changed figens life. Before the attack, she was a therapist, now she is a campaigner. What do you think martin would make of all this . He would find it very amusing that his 60 year old mother is an activist. He would, really. Figen is pushing for martins law, a new duty on venues to put counterterrorism measures in place. She hopes it will be recommended by the enquiry. At any big venue, you have to provide so many toilets. There are laws on how hot the Food has to be in the canteen, yet there is no law on security, its just a recommendation. And thatjust cannot be right. Todays report is expected to be critical, and to identify necessary improvements. Its the failings went back months and years, and it was a combination of all them failings that made it so easy for him to do what he did. Ultimately, you want it to never happen again. They all say we will learn from this. I dont know. Later this year, we will find out exactly how each of the 22 victims died, and if any could have been saved. Four years after that night at Manchester Arena shattered so many lives, there is still a long road ahead. And judithjoins us now in the studio. Good morning. This is a very important day, isnt it . So important day, isnt it . So important for the families. Talk as to how it will work in practice. It is a tough day and an important one because they have been building up since the enquiry began nine months ago and actually this report is the first of three, so the enquiry chairman, sirjohn saunders, said that initially even planning to produce one long report at The End of the hearings, it became obvious that this is such an enormous subject and there are so many different things for him to, but to wait until all of the hearings had finished and then go away to write it would have been an unbearably long wait as well, so he is splitting it into rolling reports and there are three of them and todays will deal With the security at the arena, as you heard in the report. The families and survivors are bracing themselves as to what they expect to be some very difficult reading as will be the organisations which are very likely to be criticised. To be criticised. Talk us through what you have seen of how they have tried to digester what, inevitably, has been and will be very difficult things to hear. Irate very difficult things to hear. We should not very difficult things to hear. , should not forget that this public enquiry, a vast remit, but amongst the tasks is to perform an inquest the tasks is to perform an inquest the people who died, so for those families, notjust yet, but late in the process, there will be a process in which we hear about the details of every one of the 22 people who died, how they died and also very difficult territory, whether any of them could have been saved. There is them could have been saved. There is the question particularly over two of them, john atkinson, and the youngest victim about the potential that they have possibly been saved if they had better health. That is still to come. The other thing to mention is that the pandemic has been happening at the same time as all of this, so the families, originally, went to the courtroom but in many cases have had to just watch this remotely. There have been a video links, and its carried on going, but not quite the same experience for them and im sure that has been difficult. There is a disconnect there. Lets Have A Look at the Weather And Carol is there right now. Some of us up to a sunny start and as you can see in argyll and bute, but its not the sky in case everywhere. Something that is the common denominator are the temperatures in that they are mostly in double figures. It is a Muggy Start in the South East and as you can see already it is 20 degrees in london, but for much of the rest of the uk it is more comfortable. Over the uk it is more comfortable. Over the next 48 hours we are looking at further thunderstorms coming our Way And Weve seen a lot across parts of the South East, but not everyone. Even in the next 48 hours not everyone will see them, but if you catch one chances are it could be torrential and you could have as much as 50 millimetres and a couple of hours and some have the risk of Flash Flooding. In manston in kent Last Night we had 30 millimetres of rainfall. So currently we have rain coming up across the Channel Islands through parts of east wales and we also have another batch of thundery rain moving across the South East and that will clear into the North Sea and we will see further thunderstorms develop behind dispatch in the South East. Moving towards the west, and we are looking at something drier and brighter With at something drier and brighter With a fair bit of sunshine and just one or two showers. If you find some sunshine in the west, highs of glasgow in 18 and in belfast it will feel pleasant but it will be muggy and if the cloud breaks we could hit 24 in and around the london area, so a sticky day ahead if you are off to royal ascot or the tennis at queens. The other thing to remember is if you have an allergy to pollen, look at the levels, they are high or very high across much of the uk today. So into the evening and overnight we say goodbye to this line of rain and some of it will still have thunderstorms in it and a dry interlude With clear skies across the North And West but then the next batch arrives coming on across the Channel Islands and into the South East where once again it will be another Muggy Night. We have got this rain and there will be thunderstorms in it but not for all of us. We do start With a band of rain through the course of tomorrow and it will be the first for a lot of the day and a fair bit of cloud With breaks developing but the Lions Share of any sunshine will be in the North And West and that is where we will have the driest conditions and the freshest conditions and the freshest conditions as well With top Temperatures Tomorrow of 20 degrees in cardiff. Thru Friday Evening and overnight, we still have a lot of rain and again there will be some Thunder And Lightning in it. To the north of that, something drier and a few showers in parts of the west of scotland and as we head into saturday we say goodbye to the rain early on an original High Pressure will be across us and things will be more settled and it will be a drier day apart from some showers out towards the west and it wont feel as muggy where it has in recent days. But we do have a Weather Front approaching from the west and another one approaching from the south and they are all coming our way during the course of Saturday Night and into sunday, so looking pretty wet on Saturday Night and sunday as this all moves northwards but we will see dry interlude is in between as well. The only thing is With the rain and lots of people will be pleased it has come in because its been difficult to sleep and gardens need the rain, but those With Hay Fever. You pointed out the high pollen levels. find With Hay Fever. You pointed out the high pollen levels. High pollen levels. And often when it rains it dampens high pollen levels. What a night it must have been for the team, the few fans that did go there, and our correspondent Howell Griffith. How was the night after this incredible performance . Ijust incredible performance . I just wonder incredible performance . Ijust wonder how the celebrations went . Yes, the few hundred fans who spoke to will have been up till the early hours and then getting on early flights out of baku, so i dont think there would have been much sleep and they would have been thinking back over an incredible 90 minutes. Lets be honest, the last couple of years, some wales performances have been pretty tense and turgid affairs, but Last Night they refound the form they showed in euro 2016 when they made it all the quarterfinals. At the centre of that was the link between Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey. Gareth bale awaiting his perfect passes and Aaron Ramsey showing his Skill And Scoring in that first half and then right at The End, just when the fans were praying for the final whistle, Connor Roberts popping up for a second. The welsh fans in dreamland. Only a few hundred here and thousands more back in wales, frustrated by the covid travel restrictions on the advice not to come here, but from east to west of europe, plenty of people chanting for wales, europe, plenty of people chanting forwales, knowing europe, plenty of people chanting for wales, knowing that they are now more or less through to the next round. ,. And many tears, because it had been such a tense night, roller coasters, and be honest, what went through mind when Gareth Bale missed the penalty With the score at 10, missed the penalty With the score at 1 0, and you felt the Noise And Excitement from 30,000 turkish fans baying for the equaliser . Absolutely. If there was anyone on the pitch who fancied to take a penalty, it was Gareth Bale. He is well overdue a goal. He had been under stress before, in Champions League finals, he has been there, done that, yet somehow he is guided over the crossbar and at that moment the 30,000 turkish fans suddenly their blood rose and they thought, this is our chance, because if turkey wanted to stay in the tournament they really had to win Last Night but wales rode through the storm and put their bodies on the storm and put their bodies on the line, the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Connor Roberts, tracking back and Connor Roberts, tracking back and getting the tackles in and then that relief after five minutes of extra time, while is notjust holding on, but winning in style With that final goal wales not just holding on. Italy have been particularly strong and we saw how they dispatched the swiss Last Night. And turkey the week before. I think welsh expectations will be tempered and i think a decent performance, avoiding injury, that will be important and then, where does the European Journey taken wales next . Once again today we are looking at some rain coming up across parts of england and wales, some of which will be thundery, we will not all see it, the brightest skies will be in the North And West With some sunshine and one or two showers. All the details coming up in about ten minutes. Good morning. Its thursday the 17th ofjune. Our top story Dominic Cummings has warned that he will continue his attacks on the governments handling of the pandemic. The Prime Ministers former adviser said there was More To Come after he published what he says are private messages from Borisjohnson Criticising the Health Secretary. It comes as mps backed the Governments Decision to extend Covid Restrictions in england until next month, in an effort to halt the spread of the Delta Variant. James reynolds reports. The ayes to the right, 461. Are you hopeless, Mr Hancock . Did you really think Matt Hancock was useless, sir . Matt hancock was asked yesterday if he was hopeless, and responded, i dont think so. People are talking about other things as well as this. How much of this is going to stick . I think Matt Hancocks position on the government is pretty safe, because even if borisjohnson did think that hancock was totally useless, i do not think you would want a reshuffle from outside the government, sol want a reshuffle from outside the government, so i think Matt Hancock is not going anywhere. In this manner, numberten is not going anywhere. In this manner, number ten reiterated that they have full confidence in the Health Secretary, but that is a good question about the effect this might have on the public perception of the government, because think back to a few weeks ago when Dominic Cummings was in public in the house of commons for seven Hours Shopping Grenade after grenade after a grenade after grenade after a grenade at the government as he was questioned by mps, and it didnt dent the public because my perception of the government or Borisjohnsons Leadership at all. So i think downing street will be looking at that and thinking they are ok, but another way of looking at this if that Dominic Cummings has got more text on more subjects With more swear was from the Prime Minister and he releases them on a Drip Feed over the next few years, will that eventually accept the affect the public S Perception of the government . We will we know that in a few years time. It is interesting, Dominic Cummings has clearly got some key issues he is focusing on about the government talking about its strategy at the initial part of the pandemic, how much a protected Care Homes, boris johnsons leadership style, and the performance of the Health Secretary. It seems those of the four areas Dominic Cummings will focus on. Does he broaden his attack out on to other things . Well have to wait and see for blogs. For the next few days, we are looking at some thunderstorms in the forecast. Not all of us by any stretch will see them, more likely across parts of central and eastern england, but On Sunday some of them will be moving northwards, and we will be moving northwards, and we will also see some sunny spells as well. This morning, a band of rain coming up across the Channel Islands to the east of wales, and another band of thundery rain moving across the South East, clearing away into the South East, clearing away into the North Sea. In between, some further thunderstorms develop. For Scotland And Northern england and also Northern Ireland, we have some sunshine coming through the day, that will return across parts of wales and south West England as this band of rain continues to move over in the direction of the North Sea, still With the odd rumble of thunder in it. Temperatures today, 17 in belfast and in aberdeen, and also a few showers across the north and the west of scotland. Through this evening and overnight, we say goodbye to that line of thundery showers, With will have some clear skies, and then the next lot come up across the Channel Islands and southern and South Eastern parts of england. Again are some of those With some Thunder And Lightning, it will be muggy once again in the South East, fresher as we push further north. Tomorrow, credit where today, but remember these are showers, not all is necessarily seeing one, there will still be some thunderstorms in them as well, so again, it is the north and the west that will see the Lions Share of The Sunshine. And if you are in The Sunshine here, it in glasgow will feel quite pleasant, but it will still be quite muggy across parts of the south and South East. Thank you, carol. The time is 8. 10. The images of danish footballer Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch at the euros last weekend after suffering a Cardiac Arrest, sent shock waves Around The World. Benjones was watching the game With his seven year old son, oscar. He had a Heart Attack and they had this thing called a therm. Defibrillator. Defibrillator, and they help you if youve had a Heart Attack. It sends electricity to your heart and it starts re going again. Oscar was so moved by what he saw that he started a Go Fund me run. Apply pads to patients bare chest as shown i in Picture Press pads. Firmly to patients skin. Defibrillation in combination With Chest Compressions can be vital in saving someones life. People should not be afraid to use them, because you just press the on button and it explains exactly what you need to do, so people should just go ahead and do it. There have been calls for a change in the law so defibrillators become mandatory in workplaces and other public areas. There is no doubt that using one helped to save eriksens life, who was conscious when he left the field on saturday and is now in a stable condition in hospital. Oscar will be running for the next 25 days as he tries to protect the players at his football club. Graham satchell, Bbc News. Plenty of mischief involved the day before, and about 8. 15, we were approaching school, and that he said he had forgotten his dinner money. And then he saw some of his friends, and said i will get a pound from each of them, and then he went off to school, i went off to work, and about 12. 00 that day, while oliver was on a swimming lesson, i got a Phone Call to see he had had a seizure. I said that he had had a seizure. I have the gene, i did not know that i have the gene, i did not know that i passed it to my sons, that came to life when well lost oliver came to light, so we need to raise awareness of that. The second is that when the children in our country reach 14, they get a letter from the doctor and go for a mandatory ecg test, which would pick up mandatory ecg test, which would pick up any irregular heart rhythm, and we can get it sorted then. And the third one is to legislate this by the time oliver was 21, which was last year. But because of covid, two elections, brexit, we were pushed back a little bit. But we need to get legislation for this and push on, that wherever you see a final extinction any public building, into for the to be by, and a relative amount of people trained in it a defibrillator needs to be by. Sometimes that might be on the menu itself and in that case, it was, but it was on the back of the menu in small print. Owen was very well in asking for himself and he was With his Brother And Brother in law on the day, both much older than him, and they also make sure that the waiter was told that he had allergies, including two Dairy And Everybody was falsely reassured that what owen wanted to eat, because he asked for plain grilled chicken was safe, but it wasnt. Had the menu said it has a marinade on it, it would have alerted him, or if it said dairy, that would have alerted him and he would still be With us today and its interesting, because byron at the time, and it was the old company that has subsequently gone into administration as opposed to the new byron which took over the brand name, but the old company change their menus in the next few weeks to actually put buttermilk on their menu but they dont do that any more, as far as im aware, but the other big chain With the w, they do it and they list every allergen on the face of the menu, and what we want is that to be law, to be set out in writing, symbols, words, numbers, it doesnt matter. We also want the law to mean that waiters are forced, obliged, to have a conversation With their customers about allergies because that might have happened in your case, but it doesnt always happen. We have a website, Owens Law Dot Co. Uk and you can subscribe to the Mailing List and sign a petition that we have started on the Government Website and we would appreciate people showing their support. I suppose i was coming onto the next point, that you are going to meet With the chief executive of byron. What are you going to ask of the chief executive in terms of your campaign now and moving it forward . Just to be clear, byron, The One that owned the restaurant in which owen ate went into administration last year. They sold the brand and 20 of their restaurants to another company, so the new company is not liable for what happened to owen, but simon wilkinson, the ceo, is the same simon wilkinson is the same ceo of the old byron and is running the show, so i want him to agree to adopt Owens Law on a voluntary basis before it becomes law and we are obviously pressing the government and the Food Standards Agency to make it law that it would be great if the new byron could join this other chain to state the allergens on every dish on their menu in words, symbols and numbers, it doesnt matter, as long as it is away. There are 360,000 people across the uk that are prescribed Adrenaline Autoinjector is, sometimes known as epi pens, and they are the people at risk. If they have the allergen stated on the menu, they can read that, understand it and there is no doubt, no risk and its so easy to do and if wetherspoons can do it, i hope byron can. I will listen to what he has to say, but i hope you will agree With me. I assume you have not metj before. No. I want to read out a statement from byron ceo simon wilkinson who said, even though this happened two years before i was employed by byron, ive taken the responsibility to improve all allergen procedures and as you have said, particularly in the case of the buttermilk, that was put on the menu soon after owens passing. He continues to say im very supportive improvements or changes that can be made across the industry to prevent further tragic accidental deaths occurring and i will work With the family accordingly. This moves further than just one chain, doesnt it . The idea is, isuppose, if you have simon wilkinson on side and other brands that are already doing it, itjust brings the whole industry together in support of making this mandatory. Yes. Industry together in support of making this mandatory. Yes. For us, if restaurants making this mandatory. Yes. For us, if restaurants do making this mandatory. Yes. For us, if restaurants do it making this mandatory. Yes. For us, if restaurants do it voluntarily, i if restaurants do it voluntarily, that would be great and theres no reason why they shouldnt do it. For many restaurants, it would be a big positive publicity when, in our view and we still wanted to become law, so we still need the fsa and the relevant government departments to put it into law. It is covered under the Food-information'>Food Information regulations of 2014, but the words that needs to be changed are very simple and just changed are very simple and just change the word by any means into in writing, and that is all we need. So we are not asking very much in terms of legislative change. We are not asking very much from the Restaurant Industry and any restaurant that changes the practice to adopt Owens Law, wed be incredibly grateful to and they will get some good publicity. They can have a Owens Law stick their window if they want. Wed be than happy to help With that and it would just make life easier for those 360,000 people, and others, who perhaps they dont know they have an allergy. People might not realise they have an and its really important and really simple to put the details of these 14 allergens on the face of the menu. And its as simple as that.
