Synopsis
Major temples such as the Hanuman Garhi temple and Kanak Bhawan will remain shut for devotees while the Ram Janmabhoomi premises will also be closed, with only resident priests conducting puja inside. An appeal to devotees to this effect has also been made by the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the temple trust, to celebrate the festival from their homes.
Ram Navami celebrations in Ayodhya will remain muted this year, as all major temples have closed their doors to the general public for the festival while the district administration has put curbs to deter people from flocking to the holy city on the occasion.
