Razorback Communications January 22, 2021 FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- Arkansas Swim and Dive beat the Kansas Jayhawks on Friday afternoon, winning the meet 226-74. The Razorback divers kept their great season going, as Maha Amer grabbed her first victory as a Razorback, winning the three-meter dive with a score of 366.60. Brooke Schultz (338.25) and Esti Mosena (325.65) followed suit and secured second and third place, respectively. They continued their great showing in the one-meter dive as well, with Schultz taking the win with a score of 329.48. Mosena (288.08) and Amer (287.18) followed by grabbing second and third place, respectively. In the 1000-yard freestyle, senior Peyton Palsha broke the pool record and got the win with a time of 9:44.86. Vanessa Herrmann would win the 100 & 200 breaststroke while also breaking the pool record in the 100 breaststroke, with a time of 1:00.58. Adela Vavrinova (200 IM & 200 Butterfly) and Emily Barclay (50 & 100 Free) would also take home two individual wins on the day. Serena Gould touched the wall first in the 200-yard freestyle, followed by senior Kenedy Thaman, with a time of 1:50.63. The Hogs would cap off the day by taking first and second in the 400-yard freestyle. The ‘A’ team, consisting of Kobie Melton, Brittney Pike, Emily Barclay and senior Kenedy Thaman, would take first with a time of 3:21.28. The ‘B’ team, consisting of Maddie London, Molly Moore, Macy Lawerence and senior Alyssa Lemon, took second with a time of 3:24.92.
