Darke County Media photo ARCANUM — The Arcanum Village Council met Tuesday evening to celebrate the retirement of Keir Smith, Village Utilities Superintendent, and discuss the village fire department and new zoning map. The meeting began with Mayor Bonnie Millard and the council recognizing the Village Utilities Superintendent Keir Smith. Smith will retire effective Jan. 31 of this year. The mayor and council presented Smith with a proclamation for “… (Smith’s) dedication and devotion of services he has performed as the Village of Arcanum Utilities Superintendent.”
