Deputy Chief Scott DiBattista said several 911 calls came in around 8 p.m. Sunday reporting a strong ammonia smell in the area of Elizabeth Drive. First responders arrived at 93 Industrial Avenue, aware that ammonia was used at the business. Officials said that the first crews at the scene smelled an odor. Using thermal imaging cameras, they were able to see a plume venting from the roof.
