An MTA seat for someone in a chair: Hochul needs a board member to champion people with disabilities

Last spring the state Senate approved a bill 63 to zero and the Assembly did so 149 to zero (one assemblyman was absent that day) requiring state transportation authorities have on their boards a voting member “who is limited to public transit as their primary mode of transportation because the individual has a temporary or permanent disability.” It means a person who uses a wheelchair will help run the agency.
