Amy Wentworth to focus on teamwork as New Philadelphia superintendent NEW PHILADELPHIA – The new superintendent of New Philadelphia City Schools wants to focus on unity and teamwork after she takes over the reins on Aug. 1. "We want to make sure that we are in this together and that everybody understands that they are valued and they are important to this team," said Amy Wentworth. "We couldn't do it without everybody being part of this. That's my big goal." Wentworth, who has been the district's assistant superintendent since 2015, was the unanimous choice of the board of education at a special meeting Thursday night.
