METHOD
In a mixer grinder, grind toasted cumin, chilli and gram dal along with grated coconut to form a smooth paste.
Cook the toor dal with water and turmeric till it is half done.
Add the bottle gourd to the toor dal and cook for 8-9 minutes.
Add the ground paste and tamarind pulp to the boiled dal and bottle gourd.
