By Mark Starling Hendersonville Woman Accused Of Killing Daughter (Henderson County, NC) -- A Hendersonville woman is charged in her young daughter's death. Henderson County sheriff's investigators say 50-year-old Penny Hartle allegedly stabbed her five-year-old daughter at their mobile home in the Fruitland community yesterday. A neighbor told WLOS-TV Hartle went to a nearby home and got into bed after the stabbing. She will appear in court this morning. North Carolina Resumes Johnson & Johnson Vaccine (Raleigh, NC) -- The pause on the Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine is being lifted in North Carolina. The Department of Health and Human Services gave the go-ahead to resume after the CDC and FDA said late Friday that the benefits from the single-dose medicine outweigh the risks. More than a dozen women nationwide developed blood clots following their Johnson & Johnson vaccinations, which have been given to around eight-million people. That includes more than 130-thousand in North Carolina.
