U. S. Government, from the cdc and the fda, by the end of the week about whether or not the Johnson Johnson oneshot vaccine is going to come back into use. But even with the administration of that oneshot vaccine still on pause for almost two weeks now, we apparently today hit 200 million doses administered anyway, which is phenomenal. Today, President Biden also announced a new tax credit. And i know youre thinking, why is rachel talking about tax policy at the top of the a block . In it relates to the covid thing. This is super interesting to me. He announced a new tax credit today that will fully reimburse employers who give their employees paid time off to go get vaccinated. Apparently polls show that about a quarter of people who havent yet been vaccinated say they would go get their vaccine if they could get paid time off work to go get it done. They just cant afford ....
Tomorrow on the creation of an independent Bipartisan Commission to investigate the deadly january 6th capitol riot but gop leader Kevin Mccarthy trying to derail the commission before it gets off the ground, now saying hes opposed to it, siding with republicans who are trying to downplay the violence that day. Its important to point out that mccarthy initially blamed trump for helping to incite the insurrection. The president bears responsibility for wednesdays attack on congress by mob rioters. He should have immediately denounced the mob when he saw what was unfolding. But then two weeks later, mccarthy completely changed his tune. I dont believe he provoked if you listen to what he said at the rally. And lets not forget that mccarthy made a pilgrimage to maralago to meet with trump and beg for his blessings. So now hes trying to whitewash the january 6th attack and ....
