The number of Michigan teachers who are eligible for one-time grants of up to $500 is expanding to include Great Start Readiness Program, Head Start, adult education and young adult special education teachers, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and State Treasurer Rachael Eubanks announced on Monday.
The grants are intended to reimburse teachers for additional time and costs incurred while teaching amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
