South Korea s business sentiment has improved this month, on the back of gently recovering demand at home and abroad. According to the Bank of Korea Thursday, the Business Sentiment Index for all industries was 77, up 2 points on-month.
However, it indicates pessimists outnumber optimists as the reading is still far below the 100 threshold.
By sector, sentiment among manufacturing businesses rose 3 points to 85, mainly led by increased demand for automobile parts.
BSI among non-manufacturing businesses increased 2 points to 70 due to recoveries in wholesale and retail sector.
