Buderim Private Hospital has confirmed the closure of its breast clinic months after it said the service was being redesigned to build on its “long commitment” to quality healthcare.
The UnitingCare-owned hospital confirmed in a statement published on its website that the closure was due to being unable to recruit a uniquely qualified specialist breast clinician.
It said patients were being contacted.
The clinic has been closed for several months but in February Buderim Private said in a statement to the Daily that it was due to a redesign of the “gold standard” service. In February Uniting

The Daily s questions on the nature of the departures. It comes after current and former staff anonymously raised concerns about bullying at the hospital. In December last year UnitingCare confirmed an internal review found no demonstrable evidence to support the allegations.

Al s Wine & Whiskey Lounge, at 321 S. Clinton St. in Armory Square, is reopening this week after being closed since November due to Covid restrictions.

The doors of Central New York bars that have been closed for months continue to reopen as the area appears to be easing out of the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Al’s Wine & Whiskey Lounge in Armory Square and Singers Karaoke Club in Solvay are the latest to announce they are reopening. Both have been closed since November.
