Updated: 8:48 PM EDT Apr 5, 2021 A group of restaurant workers in Massachusetts received a big surprise on Monday.Employees of the Hynes Restaurant Group, which is based in the South Shore, thought they were attending a staff meeting about the upcoming summer season.Instead, their boss presented them with a big bonus check worth $100,000. We just wanted to find a way to do something to reward their dedication in the difficulty that was 2020, said Erik Hynes, owner of Hynes Restaurant Group.The money will be split between the approximately 120 workers who are employees of three Hynes restaurants: Precinct 10 in Weymouth, Bay Pointe Waterfront Restaurant in Quincy and 42 Degrees North in Plymouth.
