Fire stations in Southampton will be hosting Covid vaccine clinics this week. Anyone aged 18 and over can walk-in for their first or second COVID-19 vaccination at local Southampton fire stations including Hightown Fire Station and St Mary’s Fire Station. Firefighters along with clinical teams from Solent NHS Trust will be on hand to vaccinate those who would like a jab. People can walk-in for a Pfizer jab at Hightown Fire Station in Sholing on Tuesday July 13 from 3:30pm – 8:30pm. St Mary’s Fire Station, St Mary’s Road is also open to walk-in appointments for Pfizer vaccinations on Wednesday July 14, from 3:30pm – 8:30pm.

Firefighters in Royal Victoria Country Park, Netley FIREFIGHTERS raced to a popular country park to tackle multiple blazes over the Easter weekend. Crews were called out to Royal Victoria Country park to extinguish two bonfires. Firefighters from Hightown Fire Station were on the scene in Netley on Sunday night. A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: A crew from Hightown Fire Station attended Royal Victoria Country Park at 7.40pm on Sunday, April 4 and used one hose reel jet to extinguish two bonfires. Police were requested to attend and the stop message came in at 8.04pm.
