Suspect wanted for domestic violence tries to run from officers Jimmie Dale Wheeler  A 32-year-old Ceres man wanted on a domestic violence charge tried to elude officers after he was spotted on Sunday but was later captured. Officer Eric Souza was on patrol at 12:26 p.m. when he saw Jimmie Dale Wheeler backing a vehicle out of his driveway in the 3400 block of Central Avenue. Officer Souza knew Wheeler was wanted for domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon charges from a prior incident in Modesto. Officer Souza blocked the vehicle in the driveway but Wheeler ran into his backyard and jumped a fence into a field in the 2100 block of Pine Street. Wheeler ran to the alley in the 2100 block of the Harold Street where Officer Souza lost sight of him.
