Free content available for community radio stations
Six of the projects funded from the recent Winter Loneliness Audio Content Fund are being offered to community radio stations for free.
They’ll need to be broadcast before the end of March so get in touch with the producers today if you are interested.
The Audio Content Fund bids come with a guarantee of broadcast on the stations in the application, but the team is keen to get the content, aimed at combating loneliness during the winter, heard wider.

Special Audio Content Fund round gives out £297k
Over 100 radio stations will get special programmes thanks to the latest awards from the Audio Content Fund.
There were 19 projects this time around, which was a special round to combat Winter loneliness.
The brief for the special round asked bidders to demonstrate how their idea would make listeners feel less lonely, and empower them to combat any loneliness they might be feeling due to lockdown restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
The next Funding Round to be announced will be the Standard Round 6, with results in mid-March. So far, the Audio Content Fund has distributed £1.96m since it launched in April 2019.

Helen is not the only person to fall victim to this kind scam.
Many celebrities have seen fake accounts pop up in their name on social media.
Death In Paradise star Josephine Jobert, who plays Detective Sergeant Florence Cassell in the BBC detective drama, was forced to issue a warning to fans last month after similarly learning of an account impersonating her.

During her interview, the 40-year-old presenter explained that she was a “dedicated supporter” of the Poppy Appeal and came from a forces family - her father served in the RAF.
However, every November, she receives a torrent of abuse for her decision to remain impartial and not to wear a poppy on TV screens.
Recalling the first year it happened, Charlene admitted that she still gets upset thinking about it now.
“It hurt,” she told the publication.
