Helen Skelton: Countryfile host's 'surreal' birth minus husband 'Fire brigade turned up'

"Luckily a friend was with me when I went into labour," she recalled.
"There I was on my hands and knees, with Ernie hitting me on the head with a plastic sword because he thought I was playing monsters.
"That is what little boys think you’re doing when you’re on your knees barking in pain. It was very surreal."
