The following polling locations are eligible to vote:
East Lake, Hickory Flat, Lake Dow, Lake Haven, McDonough, McDonough Central, McMullen, Mt Bethel, Timberridge, Wesley Lakes and Westside.
Several changes have been made to original polling sites due to unavailability for the June 15 election.
⦠The polling place for the Pates Creek precinct will be relocated from the Jodeco Road United Methodist Church at 1500 Jodeco Road in Stockbridge and reassigned to the Community Bible Church, 2001 Jodeco Road in Stockbridge.
⦠The polling place for Dutchtown precinct will be relocated from First Baptist Church of McDonough West Campus located at 2176 Jonesboro Road in McDonough and reassigned to Mount Olive Baptist Church, 469 Mount Olive Road in Stockbridge.
McDONOUGH â Early voting for the June 15 special election will begin later this month.
Residents living in District 3 are tasked with selecting a Henry County Board of Commissioners representative. The winner will serve through December 2022 â the remaining time of Commissioner Gary Barhamâs term.
The seat became vacant when Barham died from COVID-19 in March. Greg Cannon was appointed the temporary District 3 representative in April.
Voters can cast their ballots early on the following dates and times:
⦠May 24-28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
⦠June 1-4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
⦠June 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
⦠June 7-11 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
