Motorcyclist attempting to flee officers in Jackson County suffers injuries after crashing, police say Updated 11:23 AM; Facebook Share JACKSON COUNTY, MI, A 49-year-old Summit Township man was injured Sunday when he lost control of his motorcycle while fleeing from a Jackson County deputy, police said. The deputy attempted to stop the motorcyclist for a traffic violation on E. South St. in Summit Township at about 9:12 a.m. April 11, police said. The silver Suzuki motorcycle, accelerated in an attempt to flee the deputy, and continued west on E. South St. when the driver lost control going around a curve and struck several trees before coming to a stop, police said.
