Governor Ralph Northam made the announcement Thursday morning while touring a vaccination center in Prince William County.
According to the announcement, anyone in the Phase 1 elibility group who is currently pre-registered will receive an invitation to an appointment within the next two weeks. Northam said most people pre-registered in the highest risk categories have received an appointment.
Health districts that are already vaccinating people in the 1C eligibility group may begin scheduling general population appointments as early as April 4th.
As the state moves into Phase 2, Northam said vaccination efforts will continue to focus on vulnerable and medically underserved populations.

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WWBT) - A man has died from the injuries he received from a fire in Henrico County Thursday morning.
Fire units were called to the 2200 block of Rockwater Terrace in the Stony Run community around 9 a.m. When they arrived, heavy smoke and fire were coming from one of the residential units.
One person inside had to be rescued. The man was taken to VCU Medical Center for injuries but later died due to his injuries. Officials said the victim was 55 years old.

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WWBT) - One person was taken to a hospital after a shooting in Henrico County Thursday morning.
Police were called to the shooting in the 200 block of Newbridge Circle in Henrico’s east end around 11:30 a.m.
A man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are now looking for the suspect in the shooting.
“Many residents are working and learning virtually from home and this shooting puts everyone in a great deal of danger,” says Lieutenant Matt Pecka.

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. A Virginia State Police trooper and a VDOT contract worker narrowly avoided tragedy when their vehicles were hit by a pickup truck along I-64 in Henrico County Thursday morning.
Troopers were investigating after a vehicle ran off the right side of the interstate around mile marker 204 at 5:50 a.m.
