Charges were pending this week against a 26-year-old Bethany Beach man, and a 41-year-old Millsboro man had been arrested, after an alleged incident of disorderly conduct and indecent exposure at a Millville restaurant and bar that left the Bethany man in serious condition and being treated for traumatic injuries.
Tony Petralia, public information officer for the Millville Volunteer Fire Company (MVFC), which responded to the Saturday, May 1, incident, said a Delaware State Police medevac unit also responded to the scene, along with Sussex County EMS personnel and Ocean View police officers.

A Milton man is facing two felony charges stemming from an altercation where he allegedly threw a beer bottle at a 14-year-old girl.
Partor Rios Sanchez, 44, is facing charges of possession of a deadly weapon in commission of a felony, aggravated menacing, offensive touching and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child during a May 1 incident at a Mulberry Street residence.

A Maryland woman crossing Route 24 overnight April 25 was struck and killed by a bus.
The woman, 30, from Huntington, Md., was walking north across Route 24 near Warrington Road at 1:23 a.m. when she walked directly in front of a Ford E-450 bus traveling westbound on Route 24, said Master Cpl. Heather Pepper of the Delaware State Police.
The woman was wearing dark clothing with no reflective material and she was not carrying a light, Pepper said. The bus driver did not see her, and the left front side of the Ford struck the pedestrian within the westbound lane of travel, she said.

A Georgetown man faces burglary charges after police say he stole items from parked cars April 22 and resisted arrest.
Police responded to a home at 9:35 p.m. on Farm Lane after a woman said an unknown man was on her property removing items from her car, said Master Cpl. Heather Pepper of the Delaware State Police.
The woman told police that the man had knocked on her front door, but she did not open it because she did not recognize him. Pepper said the woman asked who it was but he did not respond. The woman told the man to leave her property and he poured a liquid substance on her front step before walking toward her parked vehicles, Pepper said. The woman said she fired off a shot from her handgun, but it did not scare off the man.
