A Maryland woman crossing Route 24 overnight April 25 was struck and killed by a bus.
The woman, 30, from Huntington, Md., was walking north across Route 24 near Warrington Road at 1:23 a.m. when she walked directly in front of a Ford E-450 bus traveling westbound on Route 24, said Master Cpl. Heather Pepper of the Delaware State Police.
The woman was wearing dark clothing with no reflective material and she was not carrying a light, Pepper said. The bus driver did not see her, and the left front side of the Ford struck the pedestrian within the westbound lane of travel, she said.
