After one student on first-year Joey Fisk’s floor in Norris Hall tested positive for COVID-19, none of his direct neighbors were notified by SHAW to isolate until hours later. By the end of the night, half the floor had been ordered to self-isolate or to move to quarantine housing. The other half, however, was never notified of the risk and only learned about what occurred through a group chat.

Bruce Jellyman, chairman of Whanganui Vintage Weekend Trust says Vintage Weekend has been held every year since 2012 and while it is going from strength to strength, it s important to know it is delivering value to and for the community.

Bayleys Whanganui Vintage Weekend is in full swing with thousands pouring into town for the long weekend. Event manager Heather Cox said the cooler weather hadn t put people off attending and it was definitely the biggest one yet .
Cox said people in the community understood what this event means for Whanganui . They want to be a part of it for the fun aspect, but also for the benefit that it ll bring to their businesses as well, she said.

A $1000 cash prize has been offered by the Whanganui Vintage Weekend Trust for people who an undertake a survey about their annual Vintage Weekend event.
Questions include how people heard of the event, mode of travel, accommodation type, events attended, and by day and time, future intentions, improving the event, and an overall satisfaction rating. It also offers a section to provide comments.
